"Get your motor runnin'! Head out on the highway! Looking for adventure and whatever comes our way!!!" That is one pawsome song right? My name is Wanda! I am a year old lowriding dachshund MIX :) looking for an ACTIVE family! They say I'm a very smart cookie, that sounds amazing!!! Who doesn't like cookies?! I know sit, fetch and learning to drop it. I have doggie friends and I've met the kitties and they are ok too! I am still a little nervous with new people and sometimes like to bork at them so they know I'm there. Foster mom is teaching me so many cool things all the time. I am crate trained and I LOOOVE belly rubs! I would do great with an active family that likes to go on hikes, adventures and give me lots of chewy toys and stimulate my growing mind! If you like to have a good time like me, have your people get with my people and let's get this pawty started!!! Local (Texas) adoption fee is $200 Out of state (Transport) adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Henley an Australian Shepherd-Icelandic sheepdog mix pup. Background Henley is a 10-month-old, 25-pound, female spayed (in September) mix puppy. Henley was rescued as a stray but was never claimed and languished for 8 weeks in a shelter and was euth. listed. A friend of mine pulled her to save her life, then contacted me.                                                                            Henley has been in foster care for 1.5 months in California going through her basic training and was spayed on September 21st. She is doing really well with her training and is an exceptionally intelligent pup. Henley took to the harness and lead quickly and now goes on several outings a week. Henley Loves being outdoors, exploring, playing with her toys, making friends with the neighborhood cats, and being loved on. she is a happy girl and a willing student. Henley is shy when meeting new people which is the norm for a dog who was possibly dumped on the street and then placed into a loud overcrowded shelter for 2 months as a young puppy who should have been receiving love and training. Once she knows you are a nice person she blossoms and opens like a flower! What Henley needs Henley will need adopters who are willing to work, live, and love a higher-energy herding breed dog. Henly will do best with people who work from home and have time for her, will professionally train her with a positive reinforcement cert trainer, take her on LONG daily walks, hiking, and on adventures so she can release all that herding energy, and be happy. Henley is not a yard dog who would ever be happy staying at home and just playing in a fenced area. She is an intelligent breed that requires a lot of physical and mental stimulus. Henley would make an awesome agility dog. How to adopt Henley Henley has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate her adopters on proper diet and nutrition for her and her new buddies. To apply to adopt Henley, she has a $595.00 adoption fee.  All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs. Please fill out the online application using this link.  Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we get to know you and can make the best match.         https   ://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/ Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 23, 2023, 4:09 pm

Story
Dakota is a sweet Mini Australian Shepherd who needs a family that can provide more love than we are able to at this point. Dakota loves a task to do and being active. We took Dakota in from a puppy mill when she was 6 months old and have done the best we could to get her trained, but unfortunately my wife and I have travelled so much for work that we have never been able to instill that strong foundation Dakota needs. She has great name recall and is able to do all of the basic commands, but she is not great walking on a leash and is very barky when she sees another dog. Dakota would need to be in a house where she is the only pet and there are no little kids. A few months ago Dakota got defensive and bit my wife and as we are expecting a newborn, we need to find Dakota a new family.

Story
Holly Dolly is such a happy and fun loving girl! She is like your personal cheerleader always by your side cheering you on through anything and everything. Holly Dolly loves meeting new people and she knows no stranger, that might be my favorite thing about her. How happy and loving she is with everyone she meets. She really is your personal cheerleader. Watch her video here: https://youtu.be/QNe_pnF9x7k Holly Dolly beautiful Lab Aussie mix approximately 6 months old and currently weighs 34 lbs and is still growing. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Holly is just a baby and still has a lot to learn but man oh man is she so willing and eager to learn. Holly is very treat and toy motivated which will make training a breeze and that much easier. She loves to please her humans. She needs to work on some basic obedience training such as sit and needs to work on her leash skills too but she will pick it up quickly. Holly has so much love to give that she jumps with joy when she’s happy and will need to learn that she can still smother her people with love without jumping. She is really smart and within the short amount of time working with her she was already understanding the “no jumping” concept. Holly Dolly would do best in a semi active home with a backyard where she can run around, go on hiking adventures with and trips to the beach as she loves the water. Once her leash skills are superb, she would make a great hiking and running companion. Since she is still young, she does have puppy energy and will need a family that will give her the training, stimulation, and exercise that she needs. Holly does settle in a home and even in chaos when there is a lot going on she has great house manners. She is very dog friendly and did great with all of the dogs we introduced her to. Holly would do best in a home with other moderately playful dogs like her but can also be a only dog as well. She does not need another dog in the home to feel comfortable and open up. She is a social butterfly and loves everyone and everything. Holly also did fairly well during her cat test. There was a lot going on when she was cat tested but her initial reaction was to be avoidant which is a good thing. We do not know if she has ever lived with cats before nor can we guarantee that this won’t change once in a home enviromrnent with cats. With proper and slow introductions, we believe that she has the ability to co-exist with cats. To our knowledge, Holly Dolly is crate trained and potty trained but may need a reminder once she arrives at her forever home especially since she is still so young patience is a virtue. We are willing to test Holly with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Lincoln! He is a very high energy, active and sweet 2-year-old, 40 lb Australian Shepherd. He is a happy boy and loves to get attention from his people! He will do great with a family that understands herding dogs and their needs. He can be strong willed and is still working on basic obedience and will need a family that will continue his training. He is working on not jumping up and mouthing right now so he needs an adult only home or a home with kids over 14. He is super sweet, but he has a lot of happy and unfocused energy. He is very smart and will thrive with training. He would love to be in a home in a suburban or rural neighborhood with a securely fenced yard for him to run and play. He will do best in a home where someone is home much of the time. He likes other dogs but can play very rough with them and would rather spend time with his humans so for that reason we are looking for a home for him as an only dog or with another dog who is able to handle his rough play. He will need an adopter that will keep him physically and mentally active and would make a great jogging or adventure buddy. He is up to date on all of his vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $450.
