Chunk is a 2 year old English Bulldog, who came to us as an owner surrender. Chunk absolutely adores humans, but he's definitely a man's best friend. He just finished a 4 week board & train with Wolf Mother K9 to work through his trauma. Chunk is a bit of special boy, he's very dog neutrally and friendly, he gets along great with them and could live with them. However, when he does live with another dog, it makes him lose trust in humans and causes him to bite when he's afraid, though he never does this in a home without other dogs. So, a home where he can be the only dog would be best or in a home with 1 other mellow dog. He loves to play, very food motivated and enjoys walks! He gets triggered by loud noises, quick movements and will bark when he wants cuddles. Chunk is a very healthy English Bulldog and doesn't even have most of their allergies or skin concerns that typically accompany the breed. Without dogs, he is absolutely perfect, cuddly, affectionate, and calm. He'll follow you around the house and try to be a lap dog whenever he can! Chunk is being fostered in Fairfield, CA. Hi! I am Cheesecake, well...simply because i look like one. LOL. I am dog friendly but have had a hard time trusting new people. I am working on this and my confidence and am doing my best! I was saved from Merced Shelter right around Thanksgiving. I am 57lbs and still trying to loose a little weight, but with all the walking i do, i am sure i will lose a few pounds shortly! I am good with other dogs but need some time to warm up to new people, they scare me a little bit. I am working on feeling safe in the crate too, but i have been doing a lot better! We got Myles last year when he was 3 months from the humane society in Milpitas. He will be a year old on April 25th. Since then we have had a lot of change happen and as much as this hurts us we need to rehome him. We have exhausted every option and no one can help with the level of capacity at all the facilities or the lack of people willing to take him in. He is a great dog with a lot of energy. Due to our schedule and living situation we are unable to provide him with the time and home he deserves. A good family for this dog would be someone who is at home and has a backyard. He is a lover and loves attention. Please help us find his forever home 🥹
