Story
Chunk is a 2 year old English Bulldog, who came to us as an owner surrender. Chunk absolutely adores humans, but he's definitely a man's best friend. He just finished a 4 week board & train with Wolf Mother K9 to work through his trauma. Chunk is a bit of special boy, he's very dog neutrally and friendly, he gets along great with them and could live with them. However, when he does live with another dog, it makes him lose trust in humans and causes him to bite when he's afraid, though he never does this in a home without other dogs. So, a home where he can be the only dog would be best or in a home with 1 other mellow dog. He loves to play, very food motivated and enjoys walks! He gets triggered by loud noises, quick movements and will bark when he wants cuddles. Chunk is a very healthy English Bulldog and doesn't even have most of their allergies or skin concerns that typically accompany the breed. Without dogs, he is absolutely perfect, cuddly, affectionate, and calm. He'll follow you around the house and try to be a lap dog whenever he can! Chunk is being fostered in Fairfield, CA. If you would like to meet Chunk, please fill out our adoption application on our website www.cabullyrescue.org/adopt.

Hi! I am Cheesecake, well...simply because i look like one. LOL. I am dog friendly but have had a hard time trusting new people. I am working on this and my confidence and am doing my best! I was saved from Merced Shelter right around Thanksgiving. I am 57lbs and still trying to loose a little weight, but with all the walking i do, i am sure i will lose a few pounds shortly! I am good with other dogs but need some time to warm up to new people, they scare me a little bit. I am working on feeling safe in the crate too, but i have been doing a lot better! I am a sweet girl, who just needs to feel safe, loved and have boundaries. I am currently being fostered in Pleasanton, CA. If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website www.californiabullyrescue.org/adopt

Hi, I'm Cardi but everyone calls me Moo! I am not sure why they call me that, but I'm guessing it's because of my spots and love for grazing the grass. I was saved from Stanislaus Shelter in Modesto CA when i was at risk for being euthanized because of space. The lovely people of CBR saw my potential and here I am, thriving in my foster home! I am dog friendly, love to roll on my back in the grass, sunbathe and make weird noises! HAHA. I am crate trained, potty trained and walk well on leash! I will make any home a happy one! Would you give me a chance to be your new best friend? I am currently being fostered in Richmond, CA. Story
If plenty of doggy wrinkles and endless squishy cuddles are your thing, beautiful Dahlia is your girl! Dahlia is quite the affectionate, 6 -year-old, 50 lb English Bulldog, whose ideal forever home is one where she can thrive as the sole, spoiled pup princess. While Dahlia does okay with other dogs in general, she can be possessive of her food and treats. She currently lives in a home with multiple dogs. Since she guards her goodies from both dogs and kids, she’s better suited for an adult-only household where she’s the only dog. A bull-dog savvy home is a plus! Dahlia is a loyal girl who loves to follow her foster mom around. She is very fond of gardening outside when it’s not too hot and loves to play ball. A cozy nap on a comfy dog bed is her absolute favorite thing to do - she’s sure to win your heart with her soft and endearing snores! Dahlia is a seasoned cuddler, sleeps through the night in her crate, and is also housebroken. She’s always up for an adventure, be it a nice walk or an exciting car ride where she can explore the world. She’s great on the leash and makes a fantastic walking buddy! Bulldogs are wonderful dogs that require a bit of extra care. All Dahlia is looking for is a loving home where she will be doted on and adored for life…and she promises to return the favor! To help set her up for success in her new home, a training session will be provided with her adoption if needed. If you’re interested in meeting Dahlia, send an email to olveiry@yahoo.com and tell us about the home you can provide for her. Or, complete our online application at 1luckydogrescue.org

Story
Monty is a 2 1/2 year old, English bulldog. For his breed, he is very energetic and will need a home with a yard or someone who can take him out to exercise a lot. He loves to play tug-o-war, fetch and running! He has behavioral issues around barking and lunging at other dogs. He is also protective over his toys and special treats (like bones). He is very smart and food motivated so training and socialization will improve his behavior. We need to rehome him due to his behavior around stealing food and being reactive to our young child. For her safety and his overall happiness, Monty needs to be in a home without children. We've had surgery on both of his eyes for Cherry Eyes, however, the one on his right eye has popped back out and may surgery eventually. Monty loves to cuddle and be around his people, he has a hilarious personality (as most bulldogs do) and would love to be someone's center of attention!

Story
Willow is looking for a person who understands a drivey bully breed/ bulldog temperament like hers, who loves the quirks of a bull dog, The Willow situation: Willow has lived with a wonderful family for a couple of years now. She is still in need of a home who is ideal for her and her special needs but she has come a very very long way. She is deaf and has one eye, she has been through a lot of personal training, is also trained in hand signs and to use a stim collar (vibrate recall) etc.In the RIGHT situation with routine she mostly lays around all day, and is an easy bull dog 90%. She needs a home without other animals and while she absolutely loves kids, she is too strong for them at times. This may seem silly, but the problem is that while she is VERY tolerant of kids, she is also an extreme leg humper🤦🏼‍♀️.. yup! And sometimes she gets super excited and will grab onto a leg and scratch you up if you don't correct her and kiddos aren't strong enough to do this. She is very very strong. In a home with other animals she is very different- she has high drive and becomes neurotic and overstimulated and very difficult in a home with other animals. In the wrong home she can be difficult to manage so we are looking for the right situation now that we have her figured out. Crate trained, potty trained, great temperament. She thrives and requires a strong calm structure and leadership. She can be very submissive to her people but can also be pushy and dominant if you aren't managing her properly. It is hard to get her attention with her hearing special needs and loss of an eye, so her person needs to continue to work on her on e collar recall/ hand signals. She has already received lots of training. We want to ensure that her adoptive home will love and keep her for life.🐾 Go to www.k9ppr.org to send us an adoption application and tell us all about you and the home you would give sweet Willow! #k9ppr loves their bulldogs! Opt to adopt!-Treadmill trained-Can get too excited (overstimulate), like many bully breeds, so she thrives and requires a strong calm structure and leadership.- Too much prey drive for cats, and while she can now be around other dogs in a controlled setting, she should not live with other dogs. - Can be very submissive to her people but can also be pushy and dominant if you aren't managing her properly. - She is Active but calms down and chills. - She loves kids but right now we are looking for an adult home It is hard to get her attention with her hearing special needs and loss of an eye, so her person needs to continue to work on her on e collar recall/ hand signals. She has already received intensive training, and is awesome with her trainer, who will give her adopter free training. We want to ensure that her adoptive home will love and keep her for life which the communication benefits from training will help with.Being special needs her adoption fee is just a donation of your choice towards her medical costs with the agreement that you do some free training with her trainer. However please note that bull dogs are not low cost dogs to own!🐾 Go to www.k9ppr.org to send us an adoption application and tell us all about you and the home you would give sweet Willow! #k9ppr loves their bulldogs! Story
Meet Macaron Cookie, the sweetest pup in town! Hey, I'm Mac, but you can call me Mac for short – 2 years old, 34 lbs of pure handsomeness, and a mysterious mix of  WHO KNOWS LOL... something bulldog and something active     My hobbies include howling at the moon (it's a dog thing), stealing treats (who can resist?), and long ear scratches (seriously, it's my weakness). Despite my charming looks, I'm still perfecting my 'how' etiquette and basic commands. But hey, Rome wasn't built in a day, right?   I'm a playful guy, 2 years young, who loves short walks and can be your Netflix buddy for the night – crate-trained and all! Did I mention I'm a foodie? Training me is a breeze when treats are involved!     I've got a soft spot for chasing small animals (cats and squirrels, watch out!) and chewing on bones. Not a fan of loud noises or thunderstorms, but if you've got treats, I'm a brave boy!   Overcoming shyness with men?I I am working on it. Treats involved of course. A trainer to help me overcome my shyness with men is recommended.   Great with kids 5+ and other dogs – I'm basically a social butterfly! Ideal home? Someone who can shower me with love, attention, training, and a dash of patience. Currently chilling in foster care near Oakland, CA. Interested in making me your forever buddy? Shoot an email to beourpet@gmail.com Let's make memories and have a pawsitively amazing time together! #AdoptMac #MacaronMagic #PawsomePal       GENERAL INFO:   Housebroken?: Yes, we think so Crate Trained?: Yes Leash Trained?: Yes Rides Well in Car?: Yes Non-Shedding?: No Good with cats?: Chases Good with dogs?: Yes Qualifies for Seniors for Seniors?: NO regular adoption fee applies Umbrella of Hope does not have any strict rules on ages of children because all children are different, but our best approximation is that this animal would do best with children over the age of 5 Umbrella of Hope is an all-volunteer, donation-run, non-profit animal rescue based out of Pittsburg, CA that rescues animals from local shelters, places them in private foster homes, provides them with needed medical care and then finds them new homes.  Also, ask us about our seniors for seniors program, where we adopt animals 5 years or older to qualified homes with a $5 donation as an adoption fee. Story
Rosie is her name. Her birthday is 03/18/2018. She’s a great home dog. She loves walks but not too far :). She’s great with kids. If you are going to take her around other animals I’d be very careful and take it slow. She does have an eye problem in her right eye. Her eye lid rubs against her eye which causes “sleepies” in her eye. They are easily cleaned with a paper towel. Also her nose is very dry right now because she would rub her nose against a wooden fence continuously to see the dog on the other side. We’re using lots of coconut oil to cure it. Overall Rosie will be a great addition to your family. She’s an easy going dog just wants to be loved and given lots of attention.

Story
French Fry is a bit of a diva; she likes to be the center of attention and claim her person for herself! When in a calm household, she is a good girl and a nice companion. She sleeps well in a crate or a dog bed and is completely housebroken. French Fry loves to chew, so she'll be thrilled if her new family has plenty of yummy snacks on hand for her. She has puppy energy and loves to follow her person everywhere they go, before flopping down next to them to relax. She weighs 22.8 pounds and is estimated to be between 1 and 4 years old.French Fry was diagnosed with intervertebral disc disease at T12-13 and possibly 11-12 and L1-2. This is a condition where disk material presses against the ligament and the spinal cord. Symptoms can include back pain, ataxia and paraplegia. She is currently on an anti inflammatory and gabapentin which are controlling her symptoms well. She will need to be on these medications ongoing. There is a possibility that symptoms can worsen and surgery may need to be pursued.Have you fallen in love? Ready to adopt?
