Are you a couch potato?? Do you like short walks & long naps in front of the tv?? Enjoy sunbathing by the pool but not a fan of actually getting your hair wet?? Do you love snacks?? If so, Shai is your spirit animal!!  Shai is around 8 years old and has 2 speeds….  Short walk & long naps!! She is by no means an old lady….. she can still kick up a zoomie when the mood strikes!!  She loves food (& is shaped a bit like a potato), she likes toys, loves napping on the couch & will do anything for a treat….. ( peep this perfect sit on a bale of straw… trust me that’s all her & the treats…. I’m not a good dog trainer!!)  Shai is wonderful with dogs, totally fine in a crate & is waiting for her soul mate!! She thinks it’s YOU!!  Apply to adopt her today!! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. I’ve never even asked to sit on the furniture because I’d rather chill in my crate or on my own bed. I love humans, especially small children. I prefer to be the only pet because I worry that other dogs may hurt my foster mom and I’m very protective of her. I love to play outside when the sun is shining but I don’t like going outside in the rain because I’m sweet as sugar and might melt if I get wet. Every human I meet says I’m an awesome dog, which I’m a little offended because I identify as a beautiful princess. Tiago is a wonderful dog who would love to have a special person to bond with. He loves our family and kiddos but he would thrive to have his special person over being a family pet. He loves to be active, is very agile, and is friendly with other animals. He has been around other dogs, cats, chickens, horses, and goats. He is not always self aware and can knock little ones over. He also needs to be on a tether or monitored in an unsecure yard as he likes to adventure. He will come with his cage, coat, and toys, and he wants to make sure he always has a comfy bed. I didn't even have a bed, toys, bones and even hoomans that I love so much. I had to learn a lot... Fomma says I am a very quick learner and I am always eager to learn. I have learned sit, wait for my food till I'm told to get it, manners and a very important one... Who's in charge.. Come to find out it was not me! I like it better that way honestly. I love to take walks and I am working on my leash manners as well... There are just so many awesome things out there to see and smell its hard to stay focused. I have worked so hard at it that I hope you are up for taking walks, cuz I don't want to forget anything I have remembered. Lets see... Oh yeah if you are wondering if I like other dogs... Ummmm it would have to be very slow introductions. I love to run the fence line with the other fosters here and the neighbor dogs. It's just when the gate opens I tend to get a little overly excited and so I think it is just best we keep it to playing on opposite sides of the fence. Now if you would like to go outside and throw some ball I am down for that any and every day. Sometimes I bring it back and sometimes I don't.
