Story
🎄 Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree with Roxy! 🎅🐾 Hey there, future best friend! I’m Roxy, your soon-to-be holiday sidekick, ready to fill your home with cheer, zoomies, and energy this season. If you’re into plush toys, festive fun, and a pup who lives for adventure, then we’re about to make some holiday magic together! 🎁✨ When I play, I go all out—think of me as your little Christmas whirlwind! I LOVE chewing on toys (Santa, please bring me more!) and have enough excitement to light up the whole neighborhood. My enthusiasm might be a bit much for some pups, but my foster sister keeps me in check when I need a reminder. I promise, it’s all in good fun—I’m just here to sleigh the day! Now, I’ll admit: new places can make me feel a bit like a Christmas cookie fresh out of the oven—nervous and warm. I might pace, drool, or pant when I’m adjusting, but with patience, love, and a good decompression plan, I’ll be as cozy as a pup in a stocking. Once I know the rules, I’ll show you how amazing I can be! 🎁 Here’s my holiday wish list: 1.) Patience and understanding while I adjust to my new home. 2.) Clear boundaries and rules to help me feel safe and secure. 3.) LOTS of playtime to burn off my reindeer-worthy energy. 4.) A loving family who understands vet visits make me a bit nervous (but treats help a ton!). 5.) Treats, belly rubs, and a cozy spot by the fire to call my own. If you’re ready for a lively, loving, and loyal pup to make your holidays brighter, I’m your girl. Let’s deck the halls, play in the snow, and create a lifetime of memories together! 🎅 Love, Roxy 🐾

Story
Location: Cincinnati, OH Food: Hydrolyzed Protein Medication: Monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention Chorizo would like to find a home with a patient family as he is still learning how to be a spoiled house boy. He lives in a home with other dogs, he doesn't yet know how to play. We are hoping that will come. He likes to think he is the king of all toys and bones in the house where other dogs are concerned. If you are the leader of your pack and willing to work through this with him. Then other dogs are permitted. If you are going to let him make the rules and him control the house. Then a home with other dogs probably won't work out. Chorizo is a spunky boy. He knows what he wants and he's not afraid to tell you! Water? Food? He'll flip that bowl to the high heavens! He is still getting the hang of potty training. With frequent potty breaks, he does very well. He is still learning how to alert when it's potty time. His favorite past time is laying in his person's lap with his favorite toy, which we call his binky. He will chew it to sleep just like a binky.

Story
Location: Marion, OH Food: Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein Medical: Athena has a condition commonly known as "dry eye," which requires lifelong daily eye drops to keep her comfortable and her remaining eye healthy. She will also need occasional check-ins with a veterinary ophthalmologist to monitor her condition. She is currently under the care of the Animal Eye Institute, but her care provider may change depending on the location of her adoptive family. Bio: Athena is a bulldog in every sense of the word: strong-willed, full of personality, and unapologetically herself. She’ll test you at first, but once you’ve earned her trust, she’ll be your fiercest, most loyal best friend. Athena’s journey hasn’t always been easy. She was previously returned to the rescue due to medical and behavioral challenges that stemmed from a lack of structure, clear leadership, and a diet that did not do right by her allergies. Since then, she has made incredible progress and proven that with the right environment, she can thrive. Athena is looking for an experienced, bulldog-savvy home with older kids or no kids at all. She does best with a routine, her own space to decompress, and people who understand that bulldogs march to the beat of their own drum. Despite her tough exterior, she adores snuggles, and being with her people. She’s great with other dogs and does well with laid-back cats (even if she might sneak a treat or two from the litter box). She enjoys walks, car rides, and chew toys — and she’s very food motivated, though she does have a severe chicken allergy, so she’ll need to stick to her prescription food. Athena has a lifelong condition commonly known as “dry eye,” which requires daily eye drops and occasional ophthalmology visits. She’s currently under the care of the Animal Eye Institute, though this may change depending on where her adoptive family is located. She also has some trauma associated with vet visits, but with continued training, patience, and compassion, she’s made great strides in learning that the vet isn’t so scary after all. Athena will test your patience at times, but once she knows you respect her boundaries, she’ll give you that same respect tenfold. She’s also taken on the role of house mediator in her foster home — always wanting to keep the peace. If you’re ready to embrace Athena’s quirks, meet her where she’s at, and give her the love and structure she deserves, she’ll reward you with unwavering devotion. Apply today to be her forever!

Story
A few important notes: Izzy is currently attending training with a professional trainer and doing great. Her trainer offers lifetime support to her and her forever family to ensure a smooth transition and long-term success. Interested adopters must be Ohio residents and willing to attend a session with our trainer and Izzy to review all she’s learned. Now, let’s cut to the chase. I’m Izzy. I’m a 58-pound bulldozer of love with a strong preference for booty scratches and minding my own business—unless you have snacks, in which case, hi. I’m crate trained, house trained, and generally respectful as long as you give me a few clear rules. I don’t do chaos, and I like knowing what’s expected of me. Structure? Love it. Predictable routine? Even better. I’ll thrive in a home that doesn’t operate like a circus. Food-wise, I’m a bit of a diva. I’m on hydrolyzed Royal Canin because apparently, my stomach has opinions. I take my meals seriously—think gourmet, not garbage. As for other animals: Dogs of all sizes? Absolutely. The more the merrier. Cats? That’s going to be a no from me. Kids? Older ones are great. I’m built like a linebacker and occasionally forget my size, so I’d prefer not to topple any toddlers. My hobbies include: Sitting on my bed like it’s a throne Shredding soft toys (RIP to the plush octopus) Romping around with dog friends Quietly judging your life choices from across the room Accepting praise like it’s my full-time job I’m not clingy, but I do love affection—just delivered with some dignity. No need to scoop me into your lap like a purse dog. Just sit next to me, scratch my back, and tell me I’m pretty.

Story
Location: Springboro, OH Food: Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein, prescription food Medication: Monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention My name is Sweet Pea, and so is my attitude! I am so full of love for anyone who talks nice to me. My ears perk up, my feet get to stompin and booty gets to hoppin whenever you say my name. My last chapter of life was hard on my body, so I lost quite a bit of fur. Bath time with special shampoo really helps me feel pretty again, and I'm a good girl in the bath! I get along really well with my foster brothers! Ive learned how to play and even chew on toys. I'm very quiet in my crate. And when I'm not in my crate, I love to follow my foster dad around. He's my favorite! He makes me feel really special and safe! My foster family thinks I'm so silly with my special dance I do. I love to dance! I dance when you sit next to me, when I want to play, when I'm excited, and just because I've got a little boogie that needs to come out! My ideal family will have lots of love to give me, and will want a cute little dancing shadow to follow them around!

Story
Location: Columbus, OH Medication: Monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention Winston is one of the happiest fosters we’ve ever had. Born February 20, 2024… Winston first came to us as a wee baby puppy. Badass Bulldog found a great home for Winston, but due to his owner’s health issues, he was returned to us. Now that he’s a little older, it’s good to see this little Exotic Bully boy is still the happy-go-lucky doggie we knew as a pup. His permanent smile and want for our love makes him so much fun to come home to. He loves to greet us, with his ever-wagging tail. He’s also prone to laying on his side in order to encourage belly rubs. Plus, he loves hugs, kisses, and chew toys. As much as we’re enjoying having Winston back, it’s our mission to find him his forever person… Could that be you? Winston is a small guy, weighing in at around 30 pounds. He wants to play. He’s social. He wants to be in the middle of the action, but he’s not going to be a dog that goes on long walks. Winston’s elbows don’t bend… or we should say, they stay bent. So, while he gets around just fine, he won’t be able to keep up a long, walking pace. (We take him for walks in a doggie stroller!) *Winston does not know this isn’t “normal,” and he lives his life in joy, getting around the house and yard just fine. A ranch home would be best for Winston. (Our ranch has a deep step down to the outside, so we have a ramp he uses when going out, and he has no issues using the ramp in order to potty outside.) Other than his elbows, he has no special needs. He’s a healthy, happy boy who wants nothing more than to continue being a spoiled pet! He loves kids and plays well with our 10-year-old daughter, but he barks at our cats. I think he may eventually get used to them, but that’s the stage we’re currently in. He also barks - sometimes - at our dogs, but we think he just wants to play… or have all the attention. Either way, Winston is easy to love. Winston is being fostered in Columbus, Ohio. Potential adopters, their pets, and all human members of the household, will be required to travel to Columbus to meet Winston in person as part of the adoption process. Winston sleeps through the night in a gated off area. We have his crate in the gate. Sometimes he goes in it. Sometimes he sleeps outside of it. I often let my dog out in the middle of the night. Unlike other fosters we’ve had, Winston does not bark. He’s happy to stay put until morning. When we leave the house, we keep him in the same area.
