She’s waited far too long for a girl this special. At 2 years old and 28 pounds, Gypsy is a delightful blend of Cattle Dog smarts and Basset Hound charm — think low-rider body, big-dog energy, and a personality that could light up a room. She’s basically the off-road model of a best friend: compact, sturdy, and always ready for an adventure. Gypsy LOVES her walks and is getting better and better on leash every day. She’s happiest when she’s outside, exploring the yard, supervising chores, or keeping an eye out for squirrels (her self-appointed job, and she takes it very seriously). When playtime winds down, she’s just as content following her favorite human around like a loyal little shadow. She’s playful, affectionate, and full of goofy charm. Toys are fun. Shoelaces are very intriguing. And her signature low-rider zoomies? Superpower #1: Ultra-Soft Floof. Her fur is soft… but those ears? Even softer. Warning: petting may result in instant happiness and zero productivity because you won’t want to stop. Superpower #2: The Incredible Sniff. Crumbs on the floor? Gone. Snack wrapper hiding in the couch? Found. Katydid’s nose misses NOTHING. Superpower #3: Love Without Limits. Dogs? Besties. People? Obsessed. Kids? Yes, please. Cats? New friends! Katydid is the definition of friendly. She believes everyone she meets is just a friend she hasn’t kissed yet. Whether it’s cuddle time on the couch, playtime in the yard, or greeting you like a rockstar when you walk through the door, Katydid is ready to make every day great.  All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH.
