Gypsy loves her walks, is getting better and better on leash, and would make a fantastic hiking buddy. When she’s not scouting for squirrels (her favorite hobby), she’s happily following her person around the yard, supervising all outdoor projects like the best little forewoman on four paws. She’s playful (sometimes with toys, sometimes with your shoelaces), great with people, and does well with other dogs. LADY is long and low and simply gorgeous. She's a basset hound/beagle type mix, about 18 months old and fully grown at 32 pounds. She is an absolutely delightful girl who loves everyone she meets. She was a family pet who was surrendered through no fault of her own, her family was moving and couldn't take her along. Lady lived with kids, is dog friendly and ignores the cat in her foster home. She's confident and playful. She loves to run and romp and play and needs a home with a physically-fenced yard to keep her from following her nose into trouble. Lady is housebroken and crate trained. If you'd like to meet Lady, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Lady at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Please note that Archie will not be available for adoption until late November. His neuter is scheduled for November 18 however we will speak with anpproved Adopter’s beforehand. Archie is a one year-old basset hound. He is a sweet boy who does great with other dogs and loves people. He his house trained, his foster family has not left him in a crate as he has done fine without it. He will need a home with a fenced in yard. Older children only please. Preferred at 10 and up. Archie has some guarding issues so he will need a family who is willing to continue his training and let him know what is expected of him. He is a young boy so he will learn quickly under the proper guidance! He is being fostered near Dayton Ohio. He is currently on some antibiotics which is preventing him from being neutered until later in the month. Chance is a 2 and a half year old beagle basset mix hoping Santa brings him a new home for the holidays! He is about 26 pounds and up to date on shots and neutered. Chance is your typical beagle basset who is high energy and has a tendency to grab his own treats off the counters! He is house trained and crate trained and sleeps in his crate at night. He was relinquished to OBHR because he was one of 4 high energy dogs in the house and it was too much to handle. Basically because he is a hound dog! So if you are familiar with hounds he will fit right into your family! He will need a home with a fenced in yard and someone who can keep him active and exercised! He loves to play with his toys and snuggle, go for hikes and loves ice cubes and baby carrots! His adoption fee is $300 and he is currently located in Columbus.
