Once we receive it a volunteer will be in contact with you via email.  This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cin c innati, Lexington KY,     or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225   . We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. When Irish eyes are smiling, does that mean they are happy? Or maybe they had too many pints at the pub? My eyes are smiling, and I am a non drinker, just want to have full disclosure here! Even though my eyes were smiling in these pictures. I was desperate for help for my little one, Lewis. You see, he was dying...full of internal and external parasites he really had no fight left in him and I knew it as his mother... so I used my Irish eyes to get us saved. AND IT WORKED!! Our lives are do amazing now, Lewis is alive and well after some very intense care, and ADOPTED INTO AN AMAZING HOME!!! I am not ever producing more babies, so it is all good! Now I get my turn for love, comfort and safety and a FOREVER HOME!! I am an adorable girl, about 50# of low-rider basset/heeler-ness. I am great with other dogs and like to play keep away! I am ready when you are, do your stuff so we can ride off into the sunset, in air conditioning, of course! MOOSE is a handsome young Basset Hound/Beagle-type mixed breed dog. He has the dreamy good looks of a beagle and the legs/body of a Basset. He's about 10 months old and currently 42 pounds but a but too chonky, he should be 35-37 pounds.  Moose has a a big personality. He's a busy little guy best suited to a home where he'll get lots of attention and exercise. Moose needs a home with a physically fenced yard to keep him from following his nose into trouble. He's dog friendly and would be fine with a dog sibling his size or larger. Moose still has some puppyish behaviors so we've been working with him on his manners. We will work with Moose's adopter to continue the work we've begun. If you would like to meet Moose, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Jeromeo at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate, if he's still available. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. Meet the cutest gal on the block with the best smile, Lucinda! Lu is a 4.5 year old hound, boxer mix who loves her people, including kids, and is full of exuberance. She is also only a medium girl at 45 lbs— the perfect size in our eyes! She came into rescue at 6 months old & was adopted, but was returned 3 years later because the adopter was having a baby. Sweet Lucinda did nothing wrong, & she’s looking for a forever, loving family this time around!    Lucinda loves playing with energetic dog friends after slow meets & is working on manners (she can get a tad bit excited for some hehe)! She would love an active home where she can go on adventures with her people— a favorite of hers is hiking! A family that gives her lots of belly rubs? Hi, my name is Ellie and I’m a five year old beagle mix. First, let me tell you all the great things about me; I’m a snuggler and love sleeping under the covers, I know a lot of commands and can be taught more because I’m super smart and very good motivated. I’m a barker, foster mom says it’s because I’m a hound but sometimes I wear a bark collar because I’ve decided it’s my job to let you know about anything that might be a threat, whether it’s a squirrel in the yard or just an unknown sound. I also would not do good around small kids and prefer ones ten or older that are respectful of my space. I do take anxiety medicine which helps me. I want a person/family that understand my needs and want to help me continue my training. ~*REBEL*~ Hello!! Foster Mom here, and I cannot even begin to explain how much we love this sweet and funny boy! He has so much silly, playful energy. He’s still figuring out the difference between toys, shoes, couch pillows, etc.  He loves to play with our big 90lb dog even though he only weighs 50 lbs. True to his beagle/hound breed, he loves to follow his nose outside and explore! He’s done well with my older niece and stepson but had issues in the past with other kids/teens, so we’re thinking it’s a case by case basis with Rebel and kiddos. He just needs someone who understands his breed and the fact that he’s still working on manners and training. He’s only 2 years old.
