WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌟🐾 Meet Gypsy — Short Legs, Big Heart, Still Waiting 💛🐾 Gypsy has been waiting… and waiting… and waiting. And honestly? She’s waited far too long for a girl this special. At 2 years old and 28 pounds, Gypsy is a delightful blend of Cattle Dog smarts and Basset Hound charm — think low-rider body, big-dog energy, and a personality that could light up a room. She’s basically the off-road model of a best friend: compact, sturdy, and always ready for an adventure. Gypsy LOVES her walks and is getting better and better on leash every day. She’s happiest when she’s outside, exploring the yard, supervising chores, or keeping an eye out for squirrels (her self-appointed job, and she takes it very seriously). When playtime winds down, she’s just as content following her favorite human around like a loyal little shadow. She’s playful, affectionate, and full of goofy charm. Toys are fun. Shoelaces are very intriguing. And her signature low-rider zoomies? Absolutely legendary. 🐾 Gypsy’s Highlights: ✅ 2 years old, 28 lbs ✅ Dog-friendly ✅ House & crate trained ✅ Loves walks and outdoor time ✅ Sweet, silly, and full of personality ✅ Equal parts sass, snuggles, and sunshine While Gypsy does great with other dogs, cats are an unknown — mostly because Gypsy believes squirrels are public enemy #1 — so she may prefer a home without feline roommates. What Gypsy really wants, though, isn’t much. She wants a family who will love her quirks, laugh at her goofy legs, and finally give her the forever home she’s been patiently waiting for. She’s ready to be someone’s hiking buddy, couch companion, and daily dose of happiness. 💛 Gypsy has so much love to give — she just needs someone to give her a chance. Short legs. Big heart. Endless loyalty. ✨ Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Gypsy finally stop waiting and start living the life she deserves. 🐾💛

Story
Miss Cannoli Mae Longbottom is a stunning 5-year-old, 60 lb Basset Hound with the most glorious long ears and soulful eyes to match. She came to rescue after life as a mill mom, and now she’s learning what it means to simply be a dog. Cannoli is a shy, gentle girl who prefers a calm, patient environment. While she may be cautious of sudden movements or loud, unexpected things, she truly enjoys being near her people and finds comfort just being in their presence. She loves taking her time sniffing and exploring the world around her, nose to the ground, ears trailing behind like a classic Bassett queen. She is doing well with her crate and potty training, and will need a fenced in yard as she currently prefers to potty off-leash. Above all, Cannoli is incredibly sweet. With a little patience and a lot of love, she will blossom into a loyal companion who will steal your heart one soft sniff at a time. Miss Cannoli Mae Longbottom is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
LYLA is an adorable little short stack looking for a home. She appears to be a Bagel -- a Basset Hound/Beagle mix. She's a friendly little medium-energy girl, about 2 years old and fully grown at 30 pounds. She loves attention and is very food motivated. She's dog friendly and best suited to a home with a physically-fenced yard to keep her from following her nose into trouble. We're pretty sure she can small a snack from 3 blocks away. If you'd like to meet Lyla, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Lyla at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30-1:30 at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
