The reason I can't care for him anymore is he has issues with separation that I think can be managed by someone with more time to devote to him, or a family, as opposed to someone single working full time. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225 . We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. When Irish eyes are smiling, does that mean they are happy? Or maybe they had too many pints at the pub? My eyes are smiling, and I am a non drinker, just want to have full disclosure here! Even though my eyes were smiling in these pictures. I was desperate for help for my little one, Lewis. You see, he was dying...full of internal and external parasites he really had no fight left in him and I knew it as his mother... so I used my Irish eyes to get us saved. AND IT WORKED!! Our lives are do amazing now, Lewis is alive and well after some very intense care, and ADOPTED INTO AN AMAZING HOME!!! I am not ever producing more babies, so it is all good! Now I get my turn for love, comfort and safety and a FOREVER HOME!! I am an adorable girl, about 50# of low-rider basset/heeler-ness. I am great with other dogs and like to play keep away! Tommy is a 5 year old basset shar pei mix and will require a home with a fence. His adoption fee is $250 and he is being fostered near Cincinnati. Can you resist this freckle faced fur baby? Not a chance. Especially after you meet this handsome dude! Tommy was placed with us due to no fault of his own. His family got him as a puppy 5 years ago but it turns out their youngest child is severely allergic. They spent months trying different treatments for her with no success. They were heartbroken to make the decision to surrender and when he was picked up, there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Tommy is 5 years old and was cared for on a phenomenal level. He is great with kids of all ages, dogs and even passed meeting cats for the first time with his foster with no incident. However, he is a bunny annihilator because though he has never tasted one, he heard they taste like chicken. The 2 older children had no problems walking this sweet boy on leash walks and he loves car rides and toys. Tommy is a family dog and will do best in a home with kids and is used to a busy schedule. Tommy was crated only as a puppy, is not destructive and does not go potty in the house. His amber eyes and happy disposition will have you inviting him onto the couch in no time flat. If you think Tommy could be the perfect match to complete your family, adopt him! I promise you won't be disappointed! Hey folks far and wide. Jake is a wonderful 6 almost 7yo basset mix looking for a forever home! Jake came to us after being relinquished to a shelter because he wasn't happy when the new baby started to crawl. Well ya know what Jake? I'm right there with ya buddy! Those little buggers are a pain in the curly tail when they get mobile! Speaking of Curley tail...check out his tail! We don't know why. He is a mix but looks very bassety so who knows where the tail came from! Jake is a big fan of toys tho! Has been emptying out his Foster's toy box! He gets along with other dogs but is not a cat fan. Jake is house broken, up to date, chipped and fixed. A fenced in yard would be nice but not a deal breaker for this guy.
