She’s house-trained, walks nicely on a leash, and rides calmly in the car. With a medium energy level, she’s happy to play, explore, and then curl up for snuggles. A yard would be a wonderful bonus for her as she loves to be outside. This girl slipped seamlessly into her foster’s life, and will surely do the same in her forever home. Hi! My name is Mindy, and I’m looking for my forever home.  I was picked up by Animal Control and taken to a very scary place called a shelter. When no one came looking for me and my hold time was up, I was put on “the list.” Thankfully, a kind shelter worker saw what a good girl I am and reached out to a small local rescue, which eventually led me to BCAA—and that’s how I got my second chance. I appear to be a Basset Hound mix, about a year old, and I’m on the smaller side at just under 25 pounds. I was a little shy when I first arrived in foster care, but I’ve really blossomed with all the love, treats, and attention (which I absolutely adore!). I’m doing great with my house training and am learning good indoor manners every day. I go right into my crate when asked and do very well in it—no accidents, barking, or destroying bedding. I enjoy my meals and treats and always take them gently. I get along well with the other dogs I’ve met and enjoy playing. I haven’t shown much interest in the cats I’ve met so far. I’m good on leash and love going for walks and exploring.
