Story
My step daughter adopted her as a puppy, but she has gone to college and I can't afford to keep her. She's good with cats, chickens, older kids, she should be watched with younger children, although has always lived with them. She can be protective of the house and her people. She's been around livestock, she shows quite a bit of interest, but could be trained to get along with them I believe. The other day she met a teenage deer in the woods and they sniffed each other, and she started play bowing and seemed to want to be friends! She would do great in a farm type situation, especially where she could be a guardian. She can be bossy, and would do best with someone who understands guarding breeds. She can be on the fence about other dogs. She's always lived with them, but introducing them takes time. She is highly trainable, very affectionate, loves to cuddle and be next to you, bonds tightly with her people. She has some anxiety, that we have been working on.

Story
✨Meet Bessy!✨ Bessy is a 2-month-old Beagle mix who came into us as a surrender from a commercial breeding facility (aka Puppy Mill) in Lancaster County because she had obvious medical issues from birth and could not be sold. Sadly, poor breeding practices in puppy mills (unhealthy parent dogs, inbreeding, lack of genetic or health screening, and repeated overbreeding) frequently result in puppies being born with serious medical conditions. Rescues like ours are often the only hope for dogs who are born “unprofitable.” After Bessy arrived in our care, she was examined by our veterinary team, who discovered that she has two massive hernias—an umbilical hernia and an inguinal hernia. This condition is congenital, meaning she was born with it, and it can become life-threatening if left untreated. Thankfully, both of Bessy’s hernias can be surgically repaired, fully resolving the issue. Bessy is a sweet but shy puppy who will require a family up to the task of providing her the ample physical/mental exercise and training that all puppies require. Puppies require a family who can continue their basic training and socialization skills to grow into confident and happy adult dogs! Story
I’m not sure what bred!!!She is a really good dog she is crate trained. Sometimes she goes to pee and poop in the crate when I have no one to take her outside. She is hyper but will not bite. She likes to play a lot and she needs to run around a lot as well! She eats a lot and she loves water like alot so much where she throws up. She has anxiety from me and my husband not being home as much always working. So if you can have her outside so she’s not bored that would be okay or if you can be around her all the time that’s good as well. She doesn’t know how to walk on the leash because we just let her run freely ! She is amazing and would love to have fun with you .
