Meet Corbin! Corbin is a cuddly and spunky shorty 7 month old basset mix! This playful pup loves to chase and bring back the ball to you happily! He enjoys playing tug of war with humans, as well as other puppies! Corbin can be a little overexcited with other dogs, and does best around submissive ones. He is crate trained and potty trained. He adores cuddling up next to you on the couch with a chew toy, staying busy for hours. Corbin is just happy to be around! He walks well on a leash and is eager to go anywhere with you! Charlie is an unusual, unique but gorgeous dog! He appears to be a mix of a Bassett Hound (with his short legs) and Golden Retreiver. What a great combo! He is about 7 months old and currently weighs about 35lbs but will likely grow to about 40-45lbs. He is so incredibly sweet and really loves the women! We have to say, he seems to be partial to the ladies:) However, he does do well with men and kids and loves to play with dogs of all sizes. He will steal your heart! He was rescued from a rural shelter when they became overcrowded, saving him from being killed.

That makes him a Bagle Hound! What’s better than a basset that doesn’t drag their ears thru their water bowl? Harvey is about 2 years old and super people friendly and has been around an 8 year old without issue. Due to his weight (45 lbs) he should be monitored around younger kids as he’s likely to sit on them. He rarely barks (haven’t heard a howl yet) and prefers to snuggle at night but will sleep in his crate without fuss. He walks well on a leash without pulling and hasn’t shown much interest in squirrels or birds. His favorite toys squeak and he doesn’t chew them up! Car rides are best in a back seat as he would prefer to ride in the drivers lap. He knows how to use a dog door too. Harvey would love a playful furry sibling. He’s fine with small or larger dogs. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Our Sadie Lady. Sadie arrived with a mouthful of broken and abscess teeth. Poor girl was drooling and smelled of rot. The family member who had taken in Sadie after her mom had passed realized Sadie needed some serious medical attention. Not everyone can afford to do this for their beloved pets and sadly sometimes even themselves. At least the family member did the right thing and contacted NTBHR instead of dumping Sadie lady at the local shelter. NTBHR stepped in and got Sadie the medical care and attention she so desperately needed. Having now only three teeth remaining you’d think her life would take a turn of different special needs. Not this Sadie Lady! She is an active , sneaky, funny , well mannered snuggle buddy lady pup. Foster Mom simply soaks her dry kibble with a little water, sort of like soggy cereal left in a bowl and she gobbles it all down and fast. If Foster Mom doesn’t pay attention Sadie will run over and eat her younger stepbrother food bowl. Sadie may be a senior who naps a lot and only has three teeth remaining but nobody told her that she is considered special needs. She loves her waddle walks and even will walk into the shower for bath time. Now don’t try to trim her nails unless you want to see this old gal truly show you how strong she is and what she can do with three teeth!
