People say I’m “super sweet” and “friendly with everyone,” and I’d have to agree — I’ve never met a stranger, just friends I haven’t sniffed yet! I may be a little older, but that just means I’ve had time to learn how to be the best boy. I’m calm, kind, and really just want a cozy spot by your side (or on your lap, if you’ll let me!). I love short strolls, soft beds, and quiet moments with my favorite humans. My tail wags for belly rubs, gentle ear scratches, and the occasional tasty treat. If you’re looking for a sweet soul who’ll greet you with soft eyes and a wagging tail every single day, I think we might just be made for each other.FOSTER REASON: I’m being treated for possible bronchitis and will need a dental procedure once I’m feeling better. Hello there! I`m Lucy, a sweet senior girl who is a little nervous about my new living environment in the shelter. I came from a real home for several years and this is a bit difficult to get used to. I love sniff walks and know `stay`, `down`, and `come` commands. I like treats (maybe a bit too much!) and they think I am probably house-trained. I`m having some skin issues though, but the nice vets are helping it get better. I`m really hoping someone will take me into there home so I can heal more quickly with calmer nerves. I promise I won`t be any trouble. I just need a cozy place to sleep and a little attention. I`m also dog-friendly and have enjoyed meeting other dogs in play group. Really, I`m a great dog who found herself in a lonely situation.FOSTER REASON: I am dealing with some allergies that are causing my skin to be a bit irritated. My doctors are helping me figure out what is going on and make me feel better. I need a foster home that can help keep an eye on me and bring me to the SPCA of Texas periodically for vet visits.While I`m not available for adoption yet, I am available for foster-to-adopt!
