Neglected, skinny, toes nails embedded into his pads, forgotten. He was tossed aside like a piece of garbage. Who knows what his home life was like but the way he was discovered seems like he wasn't ever taken care of.Fast forward to today, you would have never guessed that this goofy, spunky, happy, soulful dog had ever been on the streets of El Paso. He is full of personality. Just look at his Forth of July outfit. You can see the regal gentleman deep in his eyes. His gentle demeanor and his tender soul, as he sits proudly showing off his is glorious outfit. Charleston has grown fond of the pampered life. Beau lost his family when his family was going through a divorce. When a foster was found, the foster went out to look for Beau. That is when they discovered he was living in a car with his Mom. She didn't want to give up Beau, but she knew her boy didn't deserve that lifestyle. Through tons of tears, hugs, and kisses, Beau's Mama  surrendered him over to BRAT where she knew he would be safe. Even through all the changes Beau has gone through, he is still so loving, playful, and goofy. Bentley was seen wandering by a trucker, who happened to be from Lubbock Texas, who decided Bentley needed to take a ride with him back to Lubbock. This trucker reached out to B.R.A.T. and well the rest is history. Bentley instantly fell in love with his foster family and their dog. Bentley is a very active three year old basset. He is going to need someone (two legged and/or four legged) who can play with him. Take him on walks, throw the ball with, anything active to keep this boy stimulated. Rider has some trust issues though but he has just enough curiosity that allows him to come close to his human to sniff him without running away. Rider came from a backyard breeder. Rider never learned what it is like to be a dog. He was always kenneled with very little human interaction. So it is only natural to understand why he acts the way he does. Rider is going to need someone with a lot of patience to allow him to be the dog he desires to be. It would be beneficial for Rider to have a fur sibiling(s) in the home that will help show him the ways of what it is like to be a dog in a loving family. He was adopted by a loving family in 2022, but sadly they are moving overseas, and Reggie needs to find a new home. Reggie's hobbies are napping, snuggling, playing with toys, and eating. He does well on a leash and enjoys going for walks. Thank goodness, because he weighs over 90lbs, and needs to lose some weight. A healthy diet and regular exercise are necessary for Reggie.Reggie is house trained and crate trained. He loves his humans dearly, but very picky about his canine friends. He can be very playful with some dogs, but reactive to others, especially female dogs. Reggie needs a stable, permanent home where he can feel secure and loved. He enjoys spending time outdoors in good weather, so a home with a doggy door and fenced-in yard is ideal.
