Story
Meet  Tazz,  Tazz is a 31 pound, 2 year old,  good ole Heinz 57 mix who is ready to find a home.  Tazz is house trained, walks well on a leash and rides well in a car. Tazz's favorite activity is fetch. He would love a failry active forever home where someone will play fetch with him. Ideally he would also have a doggy companion in his forever home.   Background: Tazz came into rescue with Pepe (also available for adoption) when the person who found them could no longer keep them. They have lived in their finder's home for 5 months and are easy indoor dogs with house manners of much loved dogs. Tazz and Pepe can be adopted together or separately. If adopted together the combined adoption fee will be $400. Personality:   Tazz is very friendly and has had no issues with anyone he has met.  He has been in a home with young children. Tazz is a friendly dog and we think he would do well with respectful children.  Tazz loves to be held and cuddled  and has rabbit soft fur coats. He adores attention. Health:   Tazz is neutered, microchipped and is   current on his vaccinations.    Ideal Home:   Tazz's needs a fairly active forever family.  Because he is so friendly he would be an ideal dog to take on camping, hiking adventures.  He also will always be on the lookout for somone to play fetch with him. Adoption Fee: Tazz's adopted fee of $350 (or $400 for both Tazz and Pepe) helps offset the cost of medical expenses as outlined above. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and think Tazz could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application*:   helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application .   *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up. June 28, 2025, 3:16 pm

Story
Coco is the sweetest little beagle girl – an absolute angel that's always down for an adventure. She’s 2-3 years old and has the most playful spirit. She’ll gladly follow you around wherever you go and does perfect on long car rides! She takes treats gently and loves to show off her tricks – she knows sit, shake, stay, spin and lay down. She’s a really smart, curious girl and LOVES to solve doggy puzzles! She’ll also completely house trained and very respectful of plants and furniture. Like most Beagles, though, she needs someone who can be around and take her for walks often! I got her back in February of this year as a rescue thinking that I had more time in my schedule to focus on a dog, but have recently had a significant increase in my travel for work. I’m looking to rehome her before my next big trip in a few weeks and would be happy to provide a whole basket full of treats, toys, bedding, and more!

Story
Hi, I`m Alice! I am a senior beagle that found myself at the animal shelter. Nice friends from Arizona Beagle Rescue scooped me up, got me to the vet, now I`m back to taking my medicine (I`m a diabetic, you see, but tolerate my shots very well!). I am very happy with my foster mom and doggie siblings, but I am still looking for a home of my own. Do you think you might be that home?Luv,Alice

A very active girl, Coco loves to run around the yard -- incredibly playful and LOVES long walks when weather permits! She is timid around other dogs (gets overwhelmed in free roam dog park settings but would likely come out of her shell with another calm/submissive dog) but does not do well around cats. Coco is good around kids.

Story
Meet Bear! Bear is a tri-color beagle mix (possibly part lab?) who is being surrendered for adoption due to the health of his owner (owner`s health does not allow her to keep up with his high energy needs). Bear is a very active young many who loves to play, great with older kids (he is great with all kids, loves to lay with kids and play with them but his high energy might overwhelm some young kids). Bear is SMART. He knows lots of commands, is crate trained, and if he`s not running/walking/playing with his people he will lay on the couch and nap. Typical beagle, Bear will bark and does jump when people first come home (calms quickly), but Bear does think he can be a student... if the human kids get to go to school, why can`t he? Bear hasn`t figured out the `writing` part of being a student yet, he chews the pencils instead. It is unknown how Bear does with cats. His favorite treats are scrambled eggs, cucumber, and bananas! Oh, in the Arizona summer I bet those cucumbers taste amazing!
