Story
Hi, I`m Alice! I am a senior beagle that found myself at the animal shelter. Nice friends from Arizona Beagle Rescue scooped me up, got me to the vet, now I`m back to taking my medicine (I`m a diabetic, you see, but tolerate my shots very well!). I am very happy with my foster mom and doggie siblings, but I am still looking for a home of my own. Do you think you might be that home?Luv,Alice

Story
Hi,I`m Minnie! I was found on a rural country road in Illinois and picked up by animal control with some wounds - I was probably attacked by a hawk! I was very sad in the big, scary, shelter, but a nice lady said I was too young and sweet to stay there, and she took me on a road trip to this place that she calls Arizona. I got to go to the vet where they made sure my wounds were healing well, and now I`m told I`m going to find a fur-ever home of my own!I am being a very good girl and learning all the things that dogs are supposed to know - house training, walking on a leash, and playing with toys! I get along very well with other dogs, including those that are way bigger than me!Do you think you have a little room on your couch for me to call my own?Luv,Minnie

Story
Goldie is an adorable beagle mix with a darling smile on her face all the time. She sleeps in bed with us and loves to cuddle on the couch. She is housebroken, uses the doggie door, likes cats and dogs and people, too. Loves car rides but prefers to be on the driver’s lap. She’s receptive to correction–a simple NO or redirect and she’s good to go. She does love food and will snatch it if able. She is very nimble and can jump on the furniture but is little enough to not reach counter tops. Goldie rarely barks but if she does bark, stops with the simple command, “Quiet”. She loves to play and will sit and catch treats tossed to her. She is full of love and is happy to sit on your lap as long as you’ll let her.Goldie is up-to-date on vaccines, will be spayed in the near future, and then available for adoption. If you are interested in meeting Goldie, please fill out an application! https://azbeaglerescue.com/adopt/adoption-process

Story
Hi my name is Maple! I’m an energetic, kind, cuddly, mischievous 5 year old hound dog. I think I’m a mix of a lemon beagle and basset hound, because I have big floppy ears, big paws, and a long body. I really love people. I will follow you, sit by you, try to sit on you and always offer my belly for extra scratches! I can jump much higher than you’d expect, so be careful about leaving kitchen chairs pulled out or food near the edges of your counter…I will very stealthy get it! Sometimes I’ll even knock over garbage cans because my silly human friends left perfectly edible food in there. I’m anti-waste!!I really enjoy walks. I have so much energy, but I was never taught how to walk properly on a leash, so bring you muscle because I’m very strong. I love getting my harness on, and never make any trouble. I will howl when I see other dogs enjoying their walks, but once I pass them I quiet down.I have a fantastic hound dog nose & sometimes that gets in the way of my hearing. So if I’m investigating a scent, don’t expect me to hear you call my name.I love outside so much that I try to get out there with any opportunity. I can use a doggie door and I’m 100% potty trained, but I will dart out the front door fast if you don’t hold me back. Most of the day I just lay in a dog bed in my foster mom’s office while she works. She tells me I’m a good girl.I’ve never met a cat, or really little kids, but I do like other dogs! My pawfect family would be:~ Someone who is home a lot, because I just love people so much!~ Someone who has patience for my beagle behaviors (counter surfing, stealing random things and trying to bury outside, or behind pillows )~ Someone who likes to speed walk their dogs every day.~ Someone who doesn’t mind that I already have old habits like going on the beds and couches (but my foster mom’s is trying to teach me not to).I sure would like to meet you! If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out an application. https://azbeaglerescue.com/adopt/adoption-processLuv,Maple????
