She recently transferred to our facility, mostly because her non-stop tail wagging was creating an unauthorized breeze in her previous kennel.Abby’s life motto is simple: If it fits in the mouth, it is a snack. She is a professional food enthusiast, a world-class people-pleaser, and she recently passed her dog-to-dog greetings with flying, wagging colors. If you are looking for a friendly, low-riding social butterfly who will love you—and your leftovers—unconditionally, Abby is ready to waddle right into her forever home!To get started in the process of meeting this dog, please visit https://azfriends.org/testing/adopt.html to complete an adoption consultation form, and then come by the Adoption Center to meet with one of our adoption counselors. In the event there is more than one home interested in the same animal, a lottery may be held that will include all families that are at our adoption center at the time we open the day the animal becomes available. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. Bandit is a cute little chihuahua/dachshund mix who is estimated to be one year old. He is a neutered male who doesn't mark in the house. He can be a little shy at first, but quickly warms up to anyone who will give him loves. He loves scratches on his neck, ears, and belly. He's pretty chill, but likes to play with toys and occasionally with other dogs if they can be gentle with him. He is very treat motivated. He has an adorable curly tail and greets us with excited wags. When he's especially excited or happy, he splays out his front paws and we joke that it looks like the hands of the character Stitch. He doesn't lick faces, which is nice if you don't like that. He walks very well on the leash, calmly trotting along and not pulling, his curly tail bouncing along. He likes to sleep on the bed with his favorite person. He's so sweet and adorable. He would be the perfect addition to just about any home.
