Story
He is a great companion, loves to cuddle, stay on the sofa and to bark to other dogs that pass by our window; he enjoys to stay out in the sun in the garden and to do circle runs where he can. Loves to do short hikes and walks around. His favorite home is where he can be the one and only, the beginning, the middle and the end. He truly soaks up being loved and will love his humans in return. Rocco appreciates the soundness, calmness and assuredness of an adult person. Children make him nervous, so we seek an all adult home who is happy to have one perfect dog and protector. In addition to cuddle time, he will especially love rigorous play time with a big ball or tug-toy. He gets tired and satisfied very quickly after a short play session. He is used to be alone during our working hours, once he knows what is ok to touch/chew and what is not will leave the home as we did (but he shades a lot). He is used to two potty walks x day and the occasional long walk Rocco prefers to be the only dog, the only one that makes your heart flutter! Submit the online application at karmicrescue.org

Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $500   Lewis is a 3 year old Beagle x Chihuahua mix who was a rescue from the shelter. He has the most fabulous ears and an incredible personality to boot! We don’t know how Lewis ended up in the shelter but we do know that his life since we scooped him out has been amazing. His forever home should be ready for a lifetime of love!    Below is a note from his foster.    “Lewis is a huge cuddler and loves being with us as we work. He took a few days to settle in but ever since then he has been nothing but an amazing companion. He is playful when he has a toy but is also happy to hang out on the couch when I am working.    Lewis wakes up at 7:30 AM and goes outside for a walk and potty break. He has breakfast at 8:30 AM and then spends time playing with his toys and taking naps while I do some work. He gets another short walk in the afternoon when I need a break from work. He gets a longer walk around 5:30 PM and then has dinner at 6 PM. He likes to cuddle and get attention from us before he heads to bed around 9 PM.   Lewis will need a home who is excited to keep socializing him and working on his leash walking skills. He would love a home where someone works from home or is at home during the day because he loves his people more than anything!” Lewis is an option for those who have prior dog experience. Children in the home should be over the age of 6. October 3, 2023, 1:34 am

This sweet girl is eager for her second chance at a happy ever after and hopes you might be her perfect fit!   Below is a note from Coral’s foster.   “Coral is a total cuddlebug who loves pets and treats and giving kisses. It took her a few days to settle in after being sprung from the shelter (understandable), but she quickly learned how great the life of pets and treats was! Coral is the perfect mix of playful and relaxed. She loves her doggy bed but also does little excited hops when she gets to go outside.    Coral goes outside twice a day for long potty breaks. She gets a walk in the late afternoon. While I work, she sleeps next to me in her doggy bed which is also where she sleeps at night. She has shown herself to be fully housetrained. She has been good with dogs, cats, kids, and adults.   Coral is going to make her forever home so happy. If you want a loving and loyal gal, look no further than Coral!”   Coral is an option for just about any home. Kids should be over 5.October 3, 2023, 1:34 am

Story
Here’s Wilson (4 yo)! He is sweet and goofy and loves being around people. He greets people with a wiggly bottom and loves to be the center of their attention (although he’s good letting you do your thing too). Wilson is good on a leash, although sometimes he will get excited and bark at other dogs (not aggressively). He is working on the “relax” command when we walk and most of the time he does great with it and won’t bark. He also knows “sit”, “off”, down”, and occassionally “stay”. He is good in a car and doesn’t mind baths. He was crate trained as a puppy but then slowly weaned out of it and was able to stay house trained out of the crate and started sleeping in bed with his human. He would probably be able to be crate trained again if you’d prefer that.

Story
We've got something that everyone is jelly over and his name is Peanut Butter. Part Beagle, part Pug, some might even call him a Puggle. We call him perfect! He is handsome. He is active. He is so smooth that he can kiss everyone in the neighborhood without a second thought. This guy is soo nice! He's sure to be a crowd favorite! *Peanut Butter and Jelly's adoption fee has been covered by a superfan!!* Here's some notes from their foster: These pups are just so sweet, attentive and willing to learn. They are excellent eaters - They event LOVE scrambled eggs. They are fine eating out of bowls and will share back and forth (so we don't put meds in food, just in case). They both walk fine on leash and will use pads too. They are so polite! Jelly will sometimes pretend she's a total couch potato--but she is actually quite the peppy walker! Both are totally fine with stairs and jumping, Jelly wants to jump even when her dinky chichi legs probably shouldn't, so stairs or a ramp up to high beds may be warranted. PB is a mellow guy who loves the acquaintance of his gal, Jelly. PB is happy to sleep on the couch at night but the princess Jelly has discovered the joy of the Big Bed. We would absolutely keep them if we could, but we know they will make their new family sooooo happy!!!
