Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee. This dog will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, December 13th from 12-3pm unless adopted prior to the event. To be considered for adoption, pls submit an application in advance.   Adoption fee: $700 Meet Bandana At just 12 lbs, Bandana is a pint-sized bundle of charm— a 1–2 year old Beagle/Terrier mix with a big heart, a silly streak, and a deep love for his people. He starts every day with a happy wag and a quick morning routine: out around 7am for a potty break, breakfast, and then a walk that can be as short or as long as you’d like. He enjoys stretching his legs, sniffing the neighborhood, and taking in the world around him, whether it’s a leisurely stroll or a more active outing.   Back home, Bandana spends the day with a mix of play and relaxation. He loves a good game of fetch with a tennis ball, and he also entertains himself with toys and chews. Once he’s gotten his wiggles out, he’s all about the cozy life— napping near his foster parent while they work, curling up in a sunny patch, or snuggling in for ear and chin scratches. His number one priority is being close to his people and soaking up all the love.   Potty training is going very well. Bandana stays accident-free as long as he’s taken out every 3–4 hours, and with consistency, he’ll have the routine fully mastered soon. He sleeps quietly in his crate at night and settles well when it’s time to wind down.   With other dogs, Bandana is flexible. He enjoys playing with his foster’s youngest dog but coexists calmly with the others, and he’d be perfectly content as an only dog or as part of a home with friendly canine companions.   When meeting new people, he may bark briefly out of excitement or uncertainty, but he warms up quickly and soon flops over for affection. His mix of playfulness and sweetness makes him easy to love: zoomies, fetch sessions, squirrel-watching, and walks are all in his repertoire— but once he’s had his fun, he’s a total snuggle bug and happiest curled up next to you. He doesn't need a ton of exercise; walks and/or yard playtime will work just fine.   Bandana’s ideal home is one that enjoys companionship, appreciates a dog who’s affectionate without being overly demanding, and can offer him a balance of activity and downtime. He’ll slot in beautifully whether you’re a single adopter, a couple, or a family with kids.   Favorite things: walks of any length, fetch with tennis balls, toys and chews, sunny napping spots, following his person around, and sleeping on his back with all four paws in the air.   In short: Bandana is a lovable, goofy little guy with a heart full of devotion and a tail that never stops wagging. With continued patience and routine, he’s well on his way to becoming someone’s loyal, easygoing, and endlessly entertaining best friend.December 14, 2025, 4:46 pm

Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption fee: $750 Meet Fruit Punch, a 12–14 week old girl weighing about 15 pounds (and growing!), with a personality as big and memorable as her name. Fruit Punch came to the rescue from a shelter where she was all on her own, no siblings in sight— but you’d never guess it from her confidence, affection, and joy for life. She has truly blossomed in her foster home and is already showing what an incredible companion she’s going to be.   Daily routine & training progress Fruit Punch has settled beautifully into a consistent routine. She goes to bed when the household does, usually between 10:00–11:30 pm, and sleeps in her crate overnight. Most nights she sleeps straight through, especially if her water intake is limited late in the evening. She typically wakes around 6:00 am, heads straight outside to potty (both pee and poop), and then is perfectly content to crawl back into bed for a couple more hours of snuggling. After her early potty break, she often cuddles up with her foster mom or dad until it’s time for the day to really begin.   Breakfast is usually around 7:00–8:00 am, followed by another potty break. After that, Fruit Punch enjoys free time in a gated kitchen and dining area where she plays with toys, romps with the resident dog, or simply follows her people around to see what they’re up to. If she gets tired, she will happily put herself into her crate for a nap. Her second meal is around 11:30 am–12:00 pm, her third around 4:00–5:00 pm, and sometimes a small additional meal by 8:00–8:30 pm if she’s feeling extra hungry (which is often—she is very food-motivated). Any later than that, and she may decide a midnight potty break is necessary.   In just about a week and a half, Fruit Punch is already going potty outside almost 100% of the time. She’s learning the rhythm of going out after meals, playtime, and naps, and continues to improve every day. She is crate-training well and can comfortably stay crated or in a playpen for 1–3 hours when her foster family steps out. On one recent day, she was crated for about four hours during a family event and did great with no accidents. She is not yet going on walks due to her vaccination status, but she enjoys plenty of supervised play and exploration in the yard.   Personality & temperament Fruit Punch was only shy for about five minutes on her very first day. Once she realized she was safe, her true personality came shining through—a nd it hasn’t slowed down since. She is the definition of a velcro dog, following her people from room to room and always wanting to be part of whatever is happening.   She is extraordinarily cuddly. Her foster family lovingly calls her the “master smuggler” because of her unmatched ability to snuggle her way into the tiniest nook. If you’re lying down, she will gently wedge herself near your neck, rest her head on your shoulder, and fall fast asleep. She is, quite simply, one of the best cuddlers you could ever meet.   As she’s grown more comfortable, her playful puppy side has emerged, including some typical play biting. Her foster family is actively working on correcting this with consistent feedback and brief pauses in interaction, and she’s already responding well—especially with adults. Like many puppies, she’s still learning her manners with kids and will need continued guidance as she grows.   Dogs, kids & home life Fruit Punch lives with a 4-year-old Cavachon named Benji, who weighs about 17 pounds. At first, Benji wanted nothing to do with her, but now they play daily— chasing each other around the yard and engaging in enthusiastic (and sometimes very dramatic) play-fighting. Supervision is still important, as things can occasionally get too rough, but overall they have a fun and active relationship.   Fruit Punch is a very enthusiastic eater and eats quickly. She will try to steal food or water from Benji if given the chance, so she’s learning patience and better manners around shared resources. This is very manageable with structure and continued training.   She also lives with two girls, ages 11 and 15, and absolutely adores them. She follows them everywhere, cuddles endlessly, and soaks up all the attention she can get.   Energy level & behavior Fruit Punch lives at two extremes: she can lounge and cuddle on the couch for hours, or suddenly burst into full-on puppy zoomies with playful, joyful energy. She loves hard and plays hard, making her a great match for someone who enjoys both active play and serious snuggle time.   She is still learning what is and isn’t appropriate to chew and will happily go for shoes, loose clothing, hands, or anything that moves. Redirecting her to toys is ongoing, and she is improving with consistency. She does not dig but will try to eat grass or leaves outside, so supervision is needed. She is not much of a barker, aside from occasional play barking or protesting when she really wants out of her crate.   Training & potential Fruit Punch is already showing how intelligent and trainable she is. She learned how to sit very quickly and picks up cues fast. With continued positive training and mental stimulation, she is going to thrive.   Ideal home Fruit Punch would do best in a home that enjoys an active lifestyle, understands the needs of a high-energy, intelligent puppy, and is committed to continued training and socialization. She will shine with adopters who appreciate her playful spirit, her need for both physical and mental outlets, and her deep desire to bond closely with her people.   What makes her special In just a short time, Fruit Punch is already sleeping through the night, nearly fully housetrained, learning commands, and settling into a routine. She is sweet, loving, funny, and incredibly affectionate. She has the makings of a deeply loyal companion and the kind of dog who wants nothing more than to be close to her people.   And if you need one last reason to fall in love: she has classic little sister energy and delights in stealing all of Benji’s toys just to get a reaction. It works every time.   Fruit Punch is truly something special— an affectionate, smart, joyful puppy who is ready to grow into an amazing lifelong companion.  December 15, 2025, 9:13 pm
