Story
A SUPER SWEET & CUDDLY GIRL:  Approx. 8 years old / Approx. 21 lbs.     Hello – I’m Eden!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control after having some very hard luck.  I had been bitten by a snake and was recovering from that. I had skin issues, fur loss, and ear infections all due to neglect. I also had to have the tip of 1 toe amputated due to torn ligaments at the joint, dry eyes, and 2 fatty lipomas removed when I was spayed.  All that took time, but I have been a total trooper while Mosly Mutts and my wonderful foster tended to these needs and now I’m ready to find my new family and continue living the good life that Mostly Mutts has started for me - so exciting!   • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  There are dogs in my foster home, and we don’t really interact much.  I’ve been just fine with them but am not looking for a playmate.  I also met dogs at Mostly Mutts and had the same reaction. So, if you have a dog that sounds like a match for me, let’s meet. / I ignored the cat in the home I visited when first rescued, so if you have a dog-friendly (or dog-tolerant) kitty, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. / I’ve been around a gentle 3- and 14-year-old in my foster home and I do well with them.  I also met nice kids at Mostly Mutts that were around 10 years old, and did well with them, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over or that may fall on me.      • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  My foster describes me as super sweet, fun, friendly, cuddly, and loving!  I really want/need to be with a family member, so I need a work-from-home or stay-at-home family member to be happy!  I’ll be the best company you could ever ask for!  Though I am a beagle mix, I’m pretty quiet, but when I do talk to you (not bark or howl), I make funny little sounds like groans and cries, etc. while looking right at you – it’s like we’re really having a conversation. / My energy level is currently 3-5 but I think it will increase a little now that I’m starting to feel better. I’m having little bursts of energy which are adorable.  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m working on ‘wait’ using my name for feeding times and ‘stay’ at doors as I want to go out the door with you. I’m sure you can teach me lots more. / I absolutely HATE being in any type of crate to the point that I’ve hurt myself when in them, so no crates for me! / My potty habits are great in my foster home!  They have a doggie door to a fenced yard, and I go out when I need to.  If the doggie door is locked, I’ll stand by the door for a moment but if no one lets me out I will go in the house.  If you don’t have a doggie door, my foster thinks I’ll do well on a good schedule.  • LIKES/DISLIKES: I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE people and want to be with them all the time!   A true lap dog, I am super happy to be held and to cuddle up with you for a nice nap. I’m pretty much up for whatever you would like to do around the house so I can keep you company and spend time with you.  I’m starting to play with toys now too. / I don’t like being without people, and of course I hate the crate! I’m not a fan of human food which is actually good – but I do like a little American cheese.  Otherwise, I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, good care, and training.  • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.  I’ve come a long way on my road to recovery and my fur is growing in nicely now.  Mostly Mutts will be happy to go over the above-mentioned medical challenges that I came in with.  I am looking for a wonderful family to love and be loved by for life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m in Kennesaw, Ga.  April 30, 2024, 11:38 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If you are interested in any of the FFOSK9 pups,  the first step is to fill out an application at  http://www.ffosk9resq.org/info/adoption . Tyrion and his brother followed two boys on scooters on a back road, stopped off to get a drink and just stayed at a neighbor's house. They tried to for over a week to find their home but everyone around denied they belonged to them. A former adopter lived next door to where they were hanging out and called us. We really have no idea what breed they are, but we think that they will be medium dogs when grown. These are the sweetest boys. They love to run and have really good recall for their age. Use to being loose, probably from birth, they had a hard time adjusting to a fence and are able to climb out of a 3-foot fence. So will need a securely fenced area or be under your control, when outside. We think possibly part Beagle but cannot be sure. They are current on all vaccines and preventatives. They will be ready for adoption on May 4th.They will make wonderful family pups.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes.  We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3  organization.  We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets. We do not adopt to "outside only" homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets.  All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and given rabies certificates.   April 20, 2024, 8:02 pm
