Story
A SUPER SWEET & CUDDLY GIRL:  Approx. 8 years old / Approx. 21 lbs.     Hello – I’m Eden!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control after having some very hard luck.  I had been bitten by a snake and was recovering from that. I had skin issues, fur loss, and ear infections all due to neglect. I also had to have the tip of 1 toe amputated due to torn ligaments at the joint, dry eyes, and 2 fatty lipomas removed when I was spayed.  All that took time, but I have been a total trooper while Mosly Mutts and my wonderful foster tended to these needs and now I’m ready to find my new family and continue living the good life that Mostly Mutts has started for me - so exciting!   • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  There are dogs in my foster home, and we don’t really interact much.  I’ve been just fine with them but am not looking for a playmate.  I also met dogs at Mostly Mutts and had the same reaction. So, if you have a dog that sounds like a match for me, let’s meet. / I ignored the cat in the home I visited when first rescued, so if you have a dog-friendly (or dog-tolerant) kitty, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. / I’ve been around a gentle 3- and 14-year-old in my foster home and I do well with them.  I also met nice kids at Mostly Mutts that were around 10 years old, and did well with them, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over or that may fall on me.      • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  My foster describes me as super sweet, fun, friendly, cuddly, and loving!  I really want/need to be with a family member, so I need a work-from-home or stay-at-home family member to be happy!  I’ll be the best company you could ever ask for!  Though I am a beagle mix, I’m pretty quiet, but when I do talk to you (not bark or howl), I make funny little sounds like groans and cries, etc. while looking right at you – it’s like we’re really having a conversation. / My energy level is currently 3-5 but I think it will increase a little now that I’m starting to feel better. I’m having little bursts of energy which are adorable.  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m working on ‘wait’ using my name for feeding times and ‘stay’ at doors as I want to go out the door with you. I’m sure you can teach me lots more. / I absolutely HATE being in any type of crate to the point that I’ve hurt myself when in them, so no crates for me! / My potty habits are great in my foster home!  They have a doggie door to a fenced yard, and I go out when I need to.  If the doggie door is locked, I’ll stand by the door for a moment but if no one lets me out I will go in the house.  If you don’t have a doggie door, my foster thinks I’ll do well on a good schedule.  • LIKES/DISLIKES: I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE people and want to be with them all the time!   A true lap dog, I am super happy to be held and to cuddle up with you for a nice nap. I’m pretty much up for whatever you would like to do around the house so I can keep you company and spend time with you.  I’m starting to play with toys now too. / I don’t like being without people, and of course I hate the crate! I’m not a fan of human food which is actually good – but I do like a little American cheese.  Otherwise, I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, good care, and training.  • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.  I’ve come a long way on my road to recovery and my fur is growing in nicely now.  Mostly Mutts will be happy to go over the above-mentioned medical challenges that I came in with.  I am looking for a wonderful family to love and be loved by for life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m in Kennesaw, Ga.  May 1, 2024, 8:47 am

Story
All our dogs are spayed/neutered and fully vetted. Senior dogs receive extra bloodwork and we try to do dental cleanings on any dogs that need them. Most of the dogs in our care are crate-trained and cat tested. We test with kids when we can. Our process can seem involved and long - we appreciate your patience. Adopting a dog is not like buying a candy bar in the checkout lane; it should never be a last-minute decision or one that is not fully thought out. Bubba is  medium size senior beagle.  He is 14yrs old, but still has a lot of love to give.  Bubba came to us as a home surrender after his person passed away. He loves to hang out in the back yard and soak up the sun, but then come inside and cozy up with the humans.  Like what you see? Fill out our online application! We work on a first received, first approved, first adopted basis. We definitely encourage people who are interested in adopting, even if they haven't found the right dog yet, to fill out an application. Our process can take as long as two weeks (we work day jobs!) so having an already approved application speeds things up considerably when you see a dog that catches your eye. April 25, 2024, 4:39 pm

Kevin is a tiny Bagel (basset & Beagle) approximately 10yrs old.  He is a laid back dude who loves to snuggle with the humans and stroll the yard.  He’ll be a great fit for someone looking for a calmer beagle to just hang out with. Like what you see? Story
Major is an incredibly sweet, playful, intelligent dog. He’s 1 1/2 years old. Loves people and other animals. He’s shy at first, but warms up quickly. He needs a good home where he will be loved and spoiled. He’s a comfort dog. He loves warm, comfy places to sleep, lounge and cuddle! He loves playing chase and tug of war with other dogs. Best guess is he’s a Basset, Beagle mix. Pictures should help. He’s a very handsome boy and deserves the best. He loves to run. He loves to go for walks. Loves treats! Knows how to sit. He will make an amazing addition to a loving family and he deserves to have that.
