A SWEET & FRIENDLY GIRL: Approx. 10 years old / Approx. 36 lbs. Hello – I’m Honeybun!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I am so happy they were able to bring me into the MM family!  I’ve recently spent time in a couple of great temporary foster homes and am now back at the shelter – sharing love with everyone I meet. I have a large tumor on my right hind quarter that will be operated on approx. 02/25/26, see medical below for details about that.  I also needed a good dental cleaning which I have already had completed.  • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I enjoyed hanging out with two dogs in one of my temp foster homes as well as playing with some dogs I met at the Mostly Mutts shelter, so if you have a nice doggie at home already, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I was a bit scared when I arrived at the shelter but began to blossom quickly.  Then the weather got really cold and there was an ‘all call’ for temporary fosters to host us until the weather passed, I went to a nice home and gained even more confidence there and had a great time too!  I have a quiet and gentle nature, and my foster said I am ‘just a lovely dog’ who will be a great addition to a lucky family. With my cute little face, I am ready to charm my new family and live a great life with them. / My energy level is 6-7 so I have pep in my step at 10 years old. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I will be learning lots of great commands with my trainer.  Check back soon to see what I have mastered. / My crate manners have been good at Mostly Mutts. / My potty habits have been good on the shelter schedule with only a few accidents and they were good in my temp foster homes. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  My favorite thing is being with my people.  Whether we are enjoying a nice walk or cuddling on the couch, I treasure those times.  I love to be in a lap, so make room for me, and let’s cuddle! / I was VERY nervous during the car ride from the shelter to my foster home.  Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I had a good dental cleaning and a few teeth removed, so my mouth is fresh again.  I have a large tumor on my right hind quarter that has been evaluated by the vet and as much as possible will be removed approx. 2/25/26, so local adoption only. Just ask about that. I am looking for a wonderful home with a loving family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  February 11, 2026, 6:55 am

A SWEET & FRIENDLY GIRL: Approx. 8 years old / Approx. 19 lbs. Hi there, I’m Lori! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and I’m so happy to be safe and loved while I wait for my forever family. I just went into a foster home, so we’ll be learning even more about me soon-but for now, just know I’m already feeling grateful, hopeful, and excited for this new chapter!  I needed a good dental cleaning when I arrived, so I’ve had that.  I’m also heartworm positive and I’ll be treated for that in early April and I hope to be with my new family before my treatment starts.  • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I haven’t met other dogs at Mostly Mutts yet, so let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me.     • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  The volunteers report that I’m a very friendly and happy girl with a sweet and calm nature. I was a superb bather-relaxed in the tub and so patient during my extensive ear cleaning. I have a peaceful side, but I’m also a happy and playful pup who enjoys having fun. / Energy Level: 3–5. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program, so, I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands.  I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. My ‘sit’ and ‘down’ commands need to be on soft surfaces please as I don’t like doing those on a hard surface. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I’ve had a few accidents on the shelter schedule, but not too many, so please keep me on a good schedule and I think I’ll do well. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love spending time with the nice volunteers and having fun too. Pup-Peroni treats are a big favorite, and I’ll happily smile for the camera-the photographer even said I was a sweet, fun, and friendly subject! I’m sure we’ll discover lots of other things we’ll like doing together / I can’t think of any dislikes but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I’ve just had a dental cleaning with a few extractions, so my mouth is fresh again.  Since I wasn't kept on heartworm prevention in my previous home, I'm HW positive. The good news is that I'll be treated for that in early April and Mostly Mutts will cover the cost of that treatment with their vet, so local adoption please.  I hope to be with my family before treatment starts. Since I'm a Dachshund mix, I naturally have a long back which is subject to injury, so please don't allow me to jump on and off furniture so we can keep me safe and healthy. I’m a darling little pup looking for a wonderful family to love and be loved by! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  February 16, 2026, 11:52 am

Story
A WONDERFUL PUPPY FRIEND: Approx. 7-8 months old / Approx. 19 lbs. & growing Hi, my name is Cuddlebug!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and I’m having fun in my foster home learning and playing while I wait to meet my new family!  Everyone agrees that my name suits me perfectly as I just love to cuddle!  I’m now ready to find my new family and start living the good life with them! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I’ve not met dogs while with Mostly Mutts, though I talk to the ones I see from a distance. If you have a dog at home already, let’s meet and see if we can be buddies! / Cats unknown. / I enjoyed the company of the two kids in a temporary foster home (ages 5 and 11).  So, let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me or that I may bump over with my puppy energy. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am a sweet and snuggly puppy who is ready to love and be loved.  A typically playful and fun pup, with a little mischievous nature - if a chair is pulled away from the table, I’ve been known to scamper onto the table – and I have mastered the ‘puppy high jump’. Silly me! My foster says that I’m a great dog who is still very much a puppy! / My energy level 5 -7, sometimes a little higher.  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog - so get ready for some training with your new best friend.  In my foster home, I’m working on the ‘sit command, and I’m sure you can teach me lots more. / I’ve had good crate manners at the shelter, as well as in my foster home. / I’m still a young puppy, and my potty habits are a work in progress.  I’m getting the hang of it though, as the accidents are becoming less and less on a good take-out schedule, every few hours. Please continue to be consistent with me on a very good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES: There are few things better than squeaky toys, playing outside with my people and cuddling.  I like mealtimes too, but I prefer to eat in the afternoon and evening, not in the mornings. / Loud noises startle me and I am no fan of the vacuum cleaner.  Otherwise, I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m so young, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on my immunizations, micro-chipped and neutered. If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.    February 14, 2026, 3:06 pm

A SWEET LITTLE FELLOW:  Approx. 2 years old / Approx. 15 lbs. Hi, my name is Sean!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I am really enjoying the love and attention I am getting from the nice volunteers.  I came in with some healing skin and a little fur loss, but I’m being well cared for, so I’m coming along!  Now I’m available for adoption, so plan to come meet me soon! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and did not like them, so I’ll want to be your only dog. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me.    • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a sweet, friendly, and loving little guy with a calm, easygoing nature. I was especially sweet for my photo shoot and such a good boy during my bath. I was even a wonderfully patient sport when they had to do some intense gum removal from my chest - how did I even get that there? I’ll happily offer up my paws for a deep clean and stayed calm for ear cleanings, too. I’m truly an all-around sweet, relaxed, and loving boy. / Energy Level: 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already mastered the ‘sit’ command and I look forward to learning more. Let's continue my training with the free for life training that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / My crate manners have been good. / My potty manners have been very good on the shelter schedule.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I like being held and absolutely love attention. My tail wags when I walk, and I enjoy spending time outside with the volunteers - and inside with them, too! / I can’t think of any dislikes yet, though like all dogs I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. Since I came in with a little fur loss and healing skin, I’m getting medicated baths twice a week and these can be easily done in my new home.  I’m a wonderful dog looking for a wonderful family to love and be loved by! Story
Louie – ID 16885 – Kennel 301 Arrived February 11 – Beagle mix – Tri color – Male 6 months old – 28 lb (estimated adult weight 35–45 lb) Will be neutered prior to adoption – Up to date on vaccines – Heartworm negative House trained – Good with children Louie is simply darling — the kind of puppy who makes you smile the moment you meet him. With his soft tri-color coat, floppy ears, and soulful eyes, he has that classic beagle look paired with an especially gentle heart. Arriving as a stray is a big change for a young dog, and Louie has handled it quietly and sweetly. He can be a little shy at first, taking a moment to make sure everything is okay, but once he feels safe, his affectionate and playful personality starts to shine. He leans in for attention, watches you closely, and clearly wants to connect. Louie already knows how to sit and is eager to please. He’s still learning leash walking and building confidence, but he is at the perfect age to grow into a wonderful, well-mannered companion. With consistency, patience, and love, he will thrive. He is young, smart, and very trainable — the kind of pup who will bond deeply with his family. House trained and good with children, Louie would fit beautifully into a home ready to guide a sweet young dog through the next stage of life. He doesn’t need perfection — just kindness, reassurance, and someone willing to show him the world is a safe place. Louie is ready to leave the shelter behind and start the life he deserves — one filled with soft beds, daily walks, gentle training, and a family who will love him forever. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
