Story
Meet Tessie, a gentle 15-year-old female she arrived at the shelter on December 2, 2023, through an unfortunate owner surrender, a circumstance beyond her control. Despite the upheaval, Tessie remains remarkably sweet, albeit a bit scared in her new environment. She entered the shelter with two companions, but unfortunately, their microchips did not match. Tessie's previous owner, did not care and surrender her.. At 48 lbs, Tessie is a well-behaved and polite companion. She responds to commands like sitting and is particularly good with children. Tessie is also housetrained and gets along well with other animals. Resting comfortably in RUN #90, she's already been spayed, microchipped, and is up-to-date on her vaccines. The shelter staff will conduct a heartworm test before her adoption to ensure she embarks on her new journey in the best health possible. Tessie is patiently waiting for a loving home where her gentle spirit and loving nature can blossom once again. If you're looking for a loyal and caring companion, Tessie might be the perfect addition to your family. Her ID is 652178. Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. If this pet came in as lost (not an owner surrender), we don't know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, names are oftentimes made up by volunteers. This pet and many others are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information. Shelter hours are: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m, CLOSED Mondays & Holidays. The shelter prefers people to make an appointment, go to - https://nqa3.nemoqappointment.com/Booking/Booking/Index/as65fg9dr953 and select Adoption. You can also show up between 10:30 & 4:00 Tues. thru Sun. (shelter closes at 4:30), you might have to wait a few minutes until someone can help you. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heart worm or combo test and a microchip. When you book an appointment, it doesn't reserve a particular pet for you. Thank you for considering a Cobb pet!

Story
Hello this is Ore, my roommate got her from the animal shelter almost 2 years ago. She is a fun, loving, and sweet dog. She will come with a crate, toys, dog food bowls, and a bed! If we are unable to find her homing soon, then we will have to return her to the shelter which is not something we really want to do. Please give her a chance, she is truly an amazing dog with lots of love to give !

Story
Rachel is a petite and sweet older gal! She is a beagle mix, born on 1-16-14, and is the perfect size weighing only 28lbs. This beautiful girl was left by her family at the shelter in 2022, and was very fearful of everything. Rachel has spent time with a trainer gaining confidence and learning what the good life is like! She is low/medium energy, and is perfectly house trained and crate trained. She has good leash manners and walks nicely on leash. Rachel loves playing with other dogs, but it is unknown how she would do with cats. She is very timid when meeting new people but will quickly warm up with treats! Due to her timid nature, a home with no young kids would be best. Rachel is fully vetted and ready to find her forever family! She would love a family who will commit to her for the rest of her years, and provide her with the love she deserves. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. For more information about Rachel, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org. If you would like to adopt this sweet girl, please submit an application for her at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.December 1, 2023, 8:28 am

4 year old beagle mix looking for a new home (along with his sister if you are willing to take both - see 4th pic). A real sweet boy if you are looking for a good companion dog. He loves to curl up on the couch for a nap. Adopted from a shelter at 6 months old, but due to family (human) health issues we are no longer able to give him the life he deserves. Looking for a loving forever home.

Story
4 year old beagle mix looking for a new home (along with his brother if you are willing to take both - see 4th pic). A real sweet girl if you are looking for a good companion dog. As with most beagles can be a bit vocal when excited. She loves to curl up on the couch or on the bed for a nap. Adopted from a shelter at 6 month old, but due to some family (human) health issues we are no longer able to give her the life she deserves. Looking for a loving forever home. Does have some allergy issues in the summer and is currently on Apoquel to help with itching.

Story
Brinceston is a very high energy dog. Very food motivated so into things. Highly intelligent so can and will escape if bored. Severe separation anxiety. And vocal. So too much for just one person. But he is a very very sweet dog. Also super loyal. Very fun. Thinks everyone and everything is here to be friends with him. Velcro dog. Hates to be cold and loves snuggles. Also hates the rain. He will come with pretty much everything. Kennel, clothes, food. Would love for him to go to a family that could keep up with his energy
