Story
Andy is a wonderful senior beagle dog, with the right amount of lazy, and spunk. Unfortunately, my family is going in all sort of directions, and we believe it's best for our beagle to not live in an apartment. We think he'd fit best in a family with maybe older kids, teens, middle-aged, or even senior adults. He's 10 years old, so he won't be needing a lot of exercise. He's doing great with other dogs, he's a bit shy in the beginning. Very very affectionate dog, he'll love you to pieces.

Story
Sandy was received from my elderly parents who can no longer care for him. He has not been socialized with people or other animals. He become anxious. He is 1.5 years old and is extremely loyal. He is naturally trainable. Sandy is able to chase, retrieve, and return a ball. He will use the potty when you take him out. However, he will follow you if you walk away. He will need to be socialized. My busy schedule requires crating him most of the day. I want him to continue in a loving home and have freedom to roam.

Story
Female; 9-yr-old Beagle mix; 30 lbs. House trained. Hazel is a smart, healthy, spunky little girl. Her soulful eyes are very endearing. Sometimes medium energy level; other times low energy level. Gets along with other dogs & kids. Great at dog park & boarding. Enjoys pets & rubs; doesn't demand them. She LOVES car rides, head out the window; ears blowing in the wind! Needs to be on a leash when outside or in a securely fenced area. Generally, she is a low maintenance pup. Will let you know when she needs something; (i.e. potty, food). She alerts when an animal/person is outside the house. She does become anxious during thunderstorms and fireworks. She is on an inexpensive prescription medication that curbs her anxiety to a large degree when this happens. She needs her caregiver to be home during these times to keep her from panicking. At all other times, she can be left at home unattended with no problems.

Story
Mika – ID 17430 – Kennel 313 Arrived March 7 – Dachshund / Beagle Mix – Black and White – Female 12 years old – 46 lb Spayed – Up to date on vaccines – Heartworm negative House trained – Dog friendly – Cat friendly – Good with children Mika is a precious senior girl who has spent her entire life with the same loving person. Sadly, her person recently had to move into assisted living and Mika could not go along. Through no fault of her own, this sweet girl is now hoping someone will open their heart and give her another chance at a home. Despite the big changes in her life, Mika has been incredibly gentle and well behaved in the shelter. She is quiet, easygoing, and very polite, doing her best to keep her kennel as clean as she can. It’s clear that she has been a well-loved companion and understands how to live peacefully in a home. Mika is house trained, good with children, dog friendly, and even cat friendly, making her a wonderful fit for many different families. She doesn’t ask for much — just a comfortable place to rest, a little kindness, and someone to share her days with. After spending 12 years being someone’s loyal companion, Mika deserves to spend her senior years in a warm home with a soft bed, loving hands, and a family who will cherish her. She still has so much love to give and is waiting patiently for someone to give her that second chance. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers.
