Meet Flint, an adorable Beagle/Dachshund looking for his forever family! This poor boy ended up at a high kill shelter after he was confiscated form a hoarding case. Flint isn&#39t going to let his sad past define him, and he is working on adjusting to &#34normal&#34 life with his foster family! He is estimated to be around a year old and weighs just 15lbs. This cutie walks great on leash, is house trained, and is working on his crate training. Flint loves other dogs, and would do best in a forever home that has another confident and friendly pup that can help show him the ropes. Fint is best described as sweet, charming, and loving. He will need a family who is patient with him, and will continue to help him feel safe and confident. He does not like being picked up, but Flint does enjoy being pet and loved on. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Meet sweet and loving bonded pair, Zandra (brindle) and Stella (lighter face)! These sisters came to BarkVille Dog Rescue after they were both abandoned in an apartment. They have both adjusted well to life in their loving foster home, but can be timid and uncertain at times. Once they settle in and get to know you, both are very loving and have great personalities. Loud noises can make both Zandra and Stella a little nervous, so a home with older (or no) kids would be preferred. Zandra is a brindle-colored terrier mix. She is a mature girl, who is estimated to be around 8yr old, and weighs 43lbs. Zandra loves to play in her fenced yard, is treat motivated, and is eager to please. She is crate trained, perfectly house trained, and has a medium energy level. Although she always has a serious look on her face, don&#39t let it fool you - Zandra is very loving and sweet! Stella is a Beagle/Hound mix, is estimated to be around 5yr old, and weighs 40lbs. She loves to run around her fenced yard with her sister Zandra, is very food motivated, and is overall a sweet girl. Rocko was a Christmas gift in 2024. Born October 6, 2023.. Rocko is a pure breed Beagle with all of the characteristics. Strong sense of smell and hearing. He would be a great hunting dog. We unfortunately have to re-home Rocko due to our busy schedule. He has a ton of energy and we no longer have the availability to keep up with his level of energy. We would love to find a family with a large fenced yard and /or children. Rocko is AKC certified and documentation can be provided. We have all of his current medical records and we have maintained a Pet Insurance policy (MetLife) during his time here with our family.

    Meet Rio!    Rio is a handsome, neutered, 10-month-old, Beagle weighing approximately 28 pounds, and he’s searching for his forever home. He can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but with slow introductions and a bit of patience, his sweet, playful, and affectionate personality quickly shines through.   Rio Valentine gets along with everyone and especially enjoys the company of small dogs. He plays beautifully with his foster Beagle sister and would love a canine companion, though it’s not a requirement. He loves toys, enjoys his daily walks, and is always happy to explore the great outdoors.    He’s crate trained, fully potty trained, and already knows a few basic commands - making him an easy and eager learner in his future home.    Medical Note: Rio Valentine has a cherry eye and is scheduled for corrective surgery.     **Home for the Holidays adoption special.  Half price adoption fee through December 31st Doxy is a 9 year old, 17 pound, Beagle/Doxy mix. He was returned to AAU because his adopter was going into a senior living situation. He is a very sweet little dog. He does bark a lot, so he can not live in an apartment or condo. He is house trained, but he’s on Lasix (a fluid pill) for his heart condition. He can only be left for a few hours or so, depending on the time you gave the medication.    Speaking of his heart condition, Doxy does have rather advanced heart disease. He is on 2 other heart medications besides the Lasix. And I’ll add to his being left, that he has separation anxiety. He needs a home with another sweet dog. I would not crate him. I do have 2 personal dogs and I give them and Doxy the run of the house when I leave.    Doxy also has urinary crystals and must be on a special diet. Finally, he has Gallbladder disease for which he must take medication. Summing it up, he will be on a special diet and medication for the rest of his life. He would do best with a fenced yard because of his medication.   I know he sounds like a train wreck, but he’s a very good dog. He loves everyone and other dogs. He is not a fan of cats. Doxy is very attached to his people and smart! He picked up our routine quickly. He enjoys watching TV on the sofa.    Doxy is also a good watch dog. He spends much of his day “lounging”. He loves, loves, loves his evening leash walks. Honestly, you would never know he had any health issues when you meet him. I am retired and have a busy life. Doxy’s health issues have not interfered with my lifestyle. He has only added love to our household! Doxy is a sweet and loving 9-year-old Beagle/Dachshund mix weighing in at 17 pounds. This charming little guy adores everyone he meets and gets along well with other dogs, though cats aren’t quite his cup of tea. What makes Doxy special:   Doxy has some medical needs, so he’s looking for a dedicated and compassionate -person to provide him with the care he deserves. He’ll need to stay on a special diet to prevent urinary crystals and will require lifelong medications for his heart and gallbladder. Despite these challenges, Doxy is full of life and love! His perfect home: --A fenced yard where he can easily go out.  He's potty trained but prefers going out every 4 - 5 hours. --A stay-at-home parent or someone with a flexible schedule to keep him company and help with his separation anxiety. Having another sweet dog in the home helps him feel secure, too! --A peaceful setting, as Doxy’s barky moments may not suit apartment or condo living.   What Doxy loves: --Evening leash walks—his absolute favorite activity! --Lounging during the day and snuggling on the sofa to watch TV with his family. --Being involved in family routines, as he’s a smart boy who quickly adapts to new schedules.   Though he’s a great watchdog and has some special needs, Doxy doesn’t let his medical issues slow him down. His foster mom, a busy retiree, says he has only brought love and joy into her home. Doxy is looking for someone as special as he is—someone who will give him the love and care he needs to thrive.          November 22, 2025, 11:10 am
