Story
Meet Benny Jacks!  Hello there! My name is Benny Jacks, and I'm an adorable 8-year-old Beagle/Corgi mix (DOB: 03/22/2018). I may be a mature gentleman, but don't let my age fool you—I still have plenty of love, personality, and playfulness to share! I came into rescue with my little brother, Boomer Jacks, a 5-year-old Beagle/Basset mix. We've been together our entire lives and recently lost the only home and family we've ever known. We are incredibly bonded and would love nothing more than to find a forever family willing to keep us together. We're the perfect pair! We:  Sleep in our crates side-by-side  Share food and water bowls  Sunbathe together  Snuggle in our humans' bed at night  Simply enjoy spending every moment together While Boomer is a little more laid-back, I'm the outgoing one of the duo! I love being part of whatever my people are doing and enjoy getting attention and affection from everyone I meet. One of my favorite pastimes is entertaining myself with plush toys—especially the ones with squeakers! Give me a soft toy that squeaks, and I'm one happy boy. I'm also a very good house guest! I:  I'm house-trained and crate-trained  Have had no accidents in the house or crate  Will let you know when I need to go outside  Love spending time with my humans I do take daily medication for allergies, which helps keep me feeling my best. My favorite things include:  Sunbathing with Boomer  Playing with plush squeaky toys  Going for walks  Snuggling and getting belly rubs  Spending time with my family We don't bark much, but we may get excited when our people come home or when we're first left alone. And, being hounds, we occasionally enjoy showing off our musical talents with a little baying and howling! Boomer and I have already lost so much, and our biggest wish is to stay together as we begin our next chapter. Everyone says we're just like having one dog because we're so easygoing and devoted to each other. Could you open your heart and home to two sweet boys looking for a second chance? If you'd like to meet me—and hopefully my brother Boomer too—please submit an adoption application today. We can't wait to find our forever family! Story
Meet Boomer Jacks!   Hi there! My name is Boomer Jacks, but my friends call me Boomer or Boom Boom! I'm a handsome 5-year-old Beagle/Basset Hound mix (DOB: 05/07/2021) weighing about 39 pounds. With my classic tricolor hound markings, soulful brown eyes, and easygoing personality, I'm ready to bring lots of love to my forever family. I came into rescue with my big brother, Benny Jacks, an 8-year-old Beagle/Corgi mix. Benny and I have been together our entire lives, and he's truly my emotional support buddy. We recently lost the only home and family we've ever known, so our biggest wish is to find a forever home where we can stay together. We're the definition of a bonded pair! We:  Sleep side-by-side in our crates  Share food and water bowls  Sunbathe together  Snuggle in our humans' bed at night  Simply enjoy doing life together I'm a sweet, affectionate boy who loves attention, but honestly, my favorite things are spending time with Benny, hanging out with my people, and soaking up the sunshine. I'm also a very well-mannered pup! I:  I'm house-trained and crate-trained  Have had no accidents in the house or crate  Will go to the door when I need to go outside  Know the commands "sit" and "shake" One thing to know about me is that I can drool when I'm feeling anxious or stressed, which is likely thanks to the Basset Hound side of my family tree. A little extra slobber just comes with my charm, especially when I'm adjusting to new situations. Having Benny by my side helps me feel safe and comfortable. As for treats? I'm not particularly treat-motivated unless you're offering the really good wet food! Then you've definitely got my attention. My favorite things include:  Sunbathing  Walks  A little toy playtime  Snuggles and belly rubs  Spending time with my humans Benny and I don't bark much, but we may get excited when you come home or when we're first left alone. And yes, there might be a little baying and howling involved—we're hounds, after all, and we like to show off our musical talents! If you have room in your heart and home for two wonderful boys, adopting us is truly like getting one amazing package deal. We're looking for a family who will love us both and give us the happy ending we deserve. Could you be our forever family? If you'd like to meet me—and hopefully my brother Benny too—please submit an adoption application today. Story
Hi, I’m Calvin Theodore! And yes — you’re thinking, “Oh my gosh, he’s so cute!” I’m overflowing with charm, and these big puppy-dog eyes, they work every time (get my way). I am 11 weeks old and expected to be small when full grown. I have adorable brown eyebrows and cheeks and a black spot right in the middle of my forehead.  I adore my humans and light up when I get love and pets. I would do well in a house with another dog or I am happy to be the only one. I am doing great on my potty training but I am a typical puppy with puppy behaviors so I will need a home that understands that and will be patient with me. Just imagine the adventures we could have together. I’d be thrilled to be your personal taste tester, your cozy lap warmer, or your next Instagram superstar — if that’s your vibe. So, let's just cut to the chase and have your people call my people, and we can set up something.     Meet Bumper — A Brave Young Beagle Looking for a Special Home One-Year-Old Beagle | Neutered | Up-to-Date on Vaccines Bumper’s story is one of survival and slow transformation. After being lost and on his own for five long months, this 1-year-old beagle is finally safe and beginning to learn how to be a dog again. He's shy, cautious, and still unsure about human touch, but he’s showing us he wants to try. Bumper is currently in foster care, observing and learning from the other dogs in the home. They’re helping him gain confidence and showing him that it’s okay to relax and trust. He’s taking baby steps, and every day is a victory. Because of his past, Bumper is a high flight risk and will need extra care when it comes to containment and leashing. He does not like to be touched or picked up, and he needs an adopter who understands that trust is earned slowly and gently. We are looking for an experienced beagle owner to become Bumper’s forever family. His ideal home will be: Beagle-savvy and knowledgeable about their sensitive nature and strong noses Patient, calm, and consistent, with no pressure to rush his progress Dedicated to ongoing training and socialization at Bumper’s pace Securely fenced yard and/or escape-proof containment Home with at least one confident, friendly dog to guide and comfort him Bumper isn’t ready to be your snuggle buddy yet, but he is ready to begin the journey with someone who truly understands him. If you're the person who sees potential in the shy ones and has the heart to help them blossom, Bumper is waiting to meet you. Could you be the one to help this brave boy find his way home?     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
My name is Jeanne! I'm a 10-year-old beagle, weighing in at 26 pounds. I've come a long way since I became an Angel dog with a severe medical condition called IMHA - Immune medicated hemolytic anemia that affected my liver.   I'm told that I have had the best medical care in my last 2 years with the rescue ranging from multiple ER visits, regular vet appointments, specialist and continual labs with follow up appointments, along with prescription medications. With this life changing event with my liver, I will have to remain on a liver protectant the rest of my life and I cannot have vaccines for the rest of my life due to the possibility of causing a relapse. I know it is a huge commitment, but I will have "extra requirements for my ongoing care" for the rest of my life including recheck of a CBC (complete blood count) every 3 to 6 months working closely with my veterinarian and avoiding exposure to contagious diseases - this includes group settings with unknown dogs, boarding environments, kennel environments or environments with wildlife.   I'm really good at sleeping the day away in a dog bed, the couch, sometimes the floor and let's not forget about taking naps out on the deck in the sun. I sleep in the human's bed curled up against one of them or in a dog bed on the floor in the bedroom.I can sleep the entire night away - no worries there, and won't get up until you tell me we have to or that it's time for breakfast! I love simply being touched and petted, given treats and food.   I'm not destructive and don't have potty accidents in the house, but I do throw up from time to time. I'm 100% trustworthy and never crated. I'll let you know by barking when I need/want to go outside.   Here's a little info: I enjoy being around other dogs - it's kind of crazy at my foster home because I've been around 7 other dogs, and we all like each other. I really just kind of hang with them and we are all just pretty much a pack, but I can be independent too. I guess if you can say "I get a little loud" when I know it's feeding time because I bark and carry on - that will be most energetic you will see me because it really is the highlight of the day along with when it's time to go upstairs to go to bed.   I would love to meet my new family soon; I've been waiting for you. If you would like to meet me, please submit an adoption application for me today!   For inquiries, email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online at http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue. *Some of our animals receive a high volume of applications, and we strive to select the best home for each animal.
