This is Buster! He is approximately 6 years old & is full of spunk! Buster does well in a home full of love & activity! He’s a major cuddle bug but does well where he has space to play & run around. He takes awhile to warm up to other animals, but with patience & understanding, he will fit right in to any home. He also does great with all people. However, he is best around children who know how to deal with animals. We are rehoming due to changing circumstances in our living arrangements.

Story
🐾 Meet Buddy! 🐾 📍 Greenwood, IN 🎂 10 years old 🐶 Beagle Buddy is a sweet senior Beagle with a heart full of love and a playful, curious personality. When he first came to us, he was scared and unsure of people. Thanks to the patience of his foster family, Buddy has blossomed into a loyal companion who simply wants to be by his person’s side. His favorite things include stuffing-filled toys, relaxing on a comfy dog bed, watching TV at your feet, and spending time outdoors on beautiful days. He’s housebroken, sleeps soundly through the night, and will happily let you know when he needs to go outside by barking at the door. Buddy has a few quirks that make him uniquely him. He is absolutely terrified of leashes and will not walk on one, so a securely fenced yard is a must. He also has a stubborn streak (he is a Beagle, after all!) Buddy gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine companion to help him continue building confidence. While he hasn’t been around cats, he does enjoy chasing squirrels and rabbits in the yard. Buddy is healthy, not on any medications, and just needs to continue working toward a healthy weight with a good diet. He even knows how to sit! 🏡 Buddy’s ideal home: ❤️ A fenced yard where he can safely explore 🐕 A friendly dog companion 💛 A patient adopter who understands that trust takes time and will love him just as he is Buddy has come so far and deserves a forever family that will appreciate the loyal, loving dog he’s become. If you’re looking for a faithful best friend to share your days with, Buddy may be the perfect match. Apply to adopt Buddy today and help this sweet senior finally find the forever home he’s been waiting for. 🐾 www.taffystouchrescue.com/adopt

🐾 Meet Dawn – A Sweet 10-Year-Old Beagle Looking for Her Forever Home! 🐾 If you’re looking for a loyal companion with soulful eyes, a love for butt scratches, and the sweetest personality, Dawn may be your perfect match! Dawn is a happy girl who enjoys the simple things in life… treats, ear scratches, soaking up the sunshine on the patio, leisurely walks, and curling up on a comfy couch for a nap. She rides wonderfully in the car, sleeps through the night, and is happiest when she’s near her people. She can be a little bossy with other dogs from time to time, but does well with respectful canine companions. She’s mostly house-trained and does best with a doggy door or an adopter who watches for her quiet cues. She’ll simply stand by the door when she needs to go out. She also uses potty pads if needed. Dawn isn’t a fan of crates, baths, or ear medications, but she’s patient and tolerant when necessary. Her ideal home? One with a cozy couch, plenty of love, and lots of booty scratches! She doesn’t need an especially active lifestyle and would fit well with someone looking for a laid-back companion to share their days with. Dawn is currently finishing a course of Apoquel but otherwise has no special medical needs. This sweet girl has so much love left to give and truly deserves the very best retirement home. 📍 Age: 10 years 🐶 Breed: Beagle 💙 Dog Friendly: Yes (with respectful dogs) or happy as an only pet 🚗 Car Rides: Excellent companion 🛋️ Favorite Things: People, treats, sunshine, naps, and all the butt scratches! If you’re ready to give Dawn the loving forever home she’s been waiting for, we’d love to hear from you! Located in Greenwood, IN www.taffystouchrescue.com/adopt

Story
Meet the dynamic duo ... Dory & Luther! This pair will have you smiling in no time with their hijinks and antics! They just LOVE snuggles and cuddles! But when they aren't getting ear scratches and tummy rubs, they revel in games of chase and wrestling in the yard. Dory gets very proud of herself when she finds a toy and prances around like a racehorse with her prize in her mouth. Luther is our mischievous boy who is known to steal a treat from a countertop when he thinks no one is looking. Unfortunately, their first year and a half was not good. They were confiscated after a police raid of a drug house along with 45 other dogs. Both were severely traumatized from what they had experienced for those first 18 months. Luckily, they have flourished and blossomed as they've learned that people are safe and can be the source of good things. Dory is still pretty tentative around men; males were NOT good to her previously. She can learn to trust men with patience and kindness. Luther accepts everyone with a wagging tail. He is definitely Dory's "woobie" and provides her with a sense of confidence and feeling of safety. Dory follows his lead and feels safer when he is around. They are definitely a bonded pair. Both dogs are now 5 years old after rehabilitating with us for 3 1/2 years. Dory is an adorable beagle weighing about 25 lbs. Luther is a lab/border collie mix who is about 60 lbs. The ideal home for these wonderful dogs will have a secure fenced-in yard and, due to Dory's fear issues, no children under 16 years of age. They do need a calm home environment without a lot of visitors as it would be too much for Dory to handle as she progresses. Their new parents will need to be patient, loving and understanding as the two adjust to home life but they will reap an enormous amount of love this sweet pair. The adoption fee for both dogs is $300. They are spayed/neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations and heartworm/flea preventative.

Story
Red is a 4-year-old tri-color beagle weighing about 35 lbs who is personality personified!!! He has never met a stranger and loves to make new friends. He likes to serve as one of the "greeting committee" when people come to visit the Waldo’s Dog Dorm and welcomes people of all shapes, sizes, sexes and ages. Red is a happy-go-lucky, mischievous boy. He's our leprechaun who always searches for the toys and is known to counter surf on occasion. Red is active and so much fun! He thrives on games of chase and wrestling with all his doggy friends. However, when not playing, Red wants to cuddle for ear massages and tummy rubs. Although good with most dogs, Red is a pretty dominant male. He is able to be in the play yards with other males and does fine, but he does not do well with other dominant males and will stand his ground. His favorite playmates are the girls, so we feel that a very playful female is what he needs in his forever home. Red wouldn't do well as an "only dog," as he takes so much joy in rough housing and doing zoomies with all the other dogs at Camp Waldo. Also, because he is very active and mischievous, he would become bored if he didn't have a very playful "sister dog" which would lead to destructiveness and, more importantly, Red just wouldn't be happy. Red's ideal home will have a large fenced-in yard, a gregarious friend and people who will give him the activity he needs as well as the attention he craves. He is truly an amazing, happy wonderful boy who will make a fabulous family member. Red's adoption fee is $250. He's neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations as well as monthly heartworm/flea prevention.
