Story
I actually have three, 2 1/2 year old beagle brothers that I rescued when they were 10-12 weeks old. I named them Huey, Dewey, and Louie. They do everything together. They love attention, great with kids, good with cats (I have one that they're good with), and highly energetic. I was going to foster them for a bit but, I wound up falling in love with them. I thought I'd be able to continue to raise them but, continuing physical restrictions prevents me from matching their energy and running with them. Story
Meet Paloma, aka Polly! Polly's past is a bit of a mystery novel, we know she's had a couple of homes and two litters of pups along the way, but that just means she's ready to skip straight to the good part: her happily ever after. This girl is sweet down to her core. She's not really into being left alone (who is, honestly), so she does best chilling in her crate when everyone's out of the house. She's not exactly a snuggle-on-your-lap kind of gal, but don't let that fool you, she absolutely wants to be near her people at all times. Think "close but cool," her love language. Give this girl a leash and she's in heaven. Walks, car rides, and prime sunbathing spots are basically her three favorite hobbies, and she will find the sunniest patch of yard and claim it as her own personal tanning bed. She's calm and easygoing most of the time, but she does keep a watchful eye on her turf, if a stranger shows up uninvited, she'll let you know about it. Polly gets along great with other dogs and cats, and she's wonderful with kids of all ages, especially the ones who understand that "personal space" is a two-way street. She can be a little shy when you first meet her, but give her some time and her sweet, funny little personality comes right out. Fair warning: Polly fancies herself a bit of an explorer. Okay, fine, an escape artist. She'd love a fenced yard to satisfy her wanderlust, though she also does great on a cable if that's what you've got. And bonus, she's fully house trained and will absolutely let you know when nature calls, day or night, no exceptions, no accidents. Polly really is the sweetest little thing, and she's more than ready to stop exploring other people's yards and finally find her forever one. Paloma will be attending the St. Johns Mint Festival in St. Johns, MI this weekend (https://www.mintfest.org/) at the Happy Feet Pet Rescue booth.  She will be attending Friday afternoon.  Come meet this sweet girl and check out the festival - it will such a great weekend.   Complete an adoption application here: https://www.happyfeetpetrescue.com/ ##2751336##

Story
Meet Sandy! 🐾 If you're looking for a fun-loving family dog, Sandy might be your perfect match! We'd especially love to see her join a home with kids—she absolutely adores people and has the happy, playful personality to make a wonderful family companion. According to her previous owner, Sandy loves car rides and is an excellent passenger. She knows sit, shake, and lay down, is both crate trained and potty trained, and happily sleeps in her crate each night around 9:30–10:00 p.m. Sandy has plenty of quirky favorites, too! She loves ice cubes, enjoys munching on bugs, and thinks getting brushed is the best. She loves other dogs and is always ready for affection, though she can get a little excited and may jump up to greet people. She does best with a crate when left alone, as she's a strong chewer and can destroy toys or blankets. She also has a sensitive stomach, so treats like carrots, cucumbers, bananas, Milk-Bones, and ice cubes work well for her. She currently eats 1½ cups of Purina One Puppy twice a day. Like many dogs, Sandy isn't a fan of nail trims and can be startled by loud noises, but she settles well when she's safely inside the house. Sandy is a sweet, affectionate girl who is ready to bring love, laughter, and lots of tail wags to her forever family. Come meet her—you just might fall in love!
