Story
My name is Peanut and I'm the sweetest, most affectionate lil' gal this side of the Mississippi! I love, love, LOVE snuggling and giving kisses. I'm an approximately 5 year-old female, predominantly rat terrier but my foster parents think I'm mixed with beagle. I'm currently overweight at 16 lbs. (ideal ~12 lbs.) but working on my summer bod via controlled portions and going on walks. Speaking of walks, I'm an absolute gem on a leash; I don't tug or pull nor am I reactive to other people, dogs, or distractions! Maybe it's these short little legs, but I walk at a very leisurely pace and I'm in no rush to get anywhere. Laid-back couch potato at heart, but I enjoy casual walks around the block and ride well in the car. I would prefer someone who can match my energy with a laidback lifestyle and let me nap next to them during the day and sleep next to them at night. My house-training is stellar; I use a doggy door to go outside when I need to and then come right back in; I'm very efficient! I'm also very trustworthy – my foster parents have never crated me! However, I have no issues with laying on a comfy dog bed in a crate and can often be found snoozing or chilling in there. I'm not a big fan of stairs but will navigate them if they are carpeted or have tread covers. I'm food-motivated and quick to learn! I enjoy playing with and squeaking my toys and occasionally chewing on rubber Nylabones. I do fine with other respectful dogs big or small, but prefer to avoid rambunctious pups. At this point, you must be wondering how a great, mellow dog like me could end up without a home? Sadly, I wound up in a shelter after my elderly owner passed away – but was thankfully pulled for rescue. Despite my loss, I remain sweet and gentle and would make a wonderful companion in a calm, steady home. Story
Vicki is 10 1/2 yrs old. Being a terrier mix, she has lots of energy. She loves to chase a ball, go for walks, run, and receive lots of pets. She also loves food, treats, almost anything so it's up to her person to make sure she doesn't eat too much. Because she will do anything for treats, she is very eager to learn new things including a variety of tricks. She would do well with another friendly dog in the house, but as long as she gets attention, she's happy.Vicki knows many obedience cues. She walks pretty good on leash, but being part Beagle her nose tends to direct where and how fast she wants to go.

Story
I need to get rid of my dog Sebastian. He will be 4 on July 10th. He is a sweetheart most of the time but he does get protective sometimes when strangers are around especially men he doesn't know. He has been great with my 4 kids. He doesn't like other dogs most of the time. He gets along with our cats most of the time. Feel free to reach out with any other questions.
