Story
Meet Paloma, aka Polly! Polly's past is a bit of a mystery novel, we know she's had a couple of homes and two litters of pups along the way, but that just means she's ready to skip straight to the good part: her happily ever after. This girl is sweet down to her core. She's not really into being left alone (who is, honestly), so she does best chilling in her crate when everyone's out of the house. She's not exactly a snuggle-on-your-lap kind of gal, but don't let that fool you, she absolutely wants to be near her people at all times. Think "close but cool," her love language. Give this girl a leash and she's in heaven. Walks, car rides, and prime sunbathing spots are basically her three favorite hobbies, and she will find the sunniest patch of yard and claim it as her own personal tanning bed. She's calm and easygoing most of the time, but she does keep a watchful eye on her turf, if a stranger shows up uninvited, she'll let you know about it. Polly gets along great with other dogs and cats, and she's wonderful with kids of all ages, especially the ones who understand that "personal space" is a two-way street. She can be a little shy when you first meet her, but give her some time and her sweet, funny little personality comes right out. Fair warning: Polly fancies herself a bit of an explorer. Okay, fine, an escape artist. She'd love a fenced yard to satisfy her wanderlust, though she also does great on a cable if that's what you've got. And bonus, she's fully house trained and will absolutely let you know when nature calls, day or night, no exceptions, no accidents. Polly really is the sweetest little thing, and she's more than ready to stop exploring other people's yards and finally find her forever one. Paloma will be attending the St. Johns Mint Festival in St. Johns, MI this weekend (https://www.mintfest.org/) at the Happy Feet Pet Rescue booth.  She will be attending Friday afternoon.  Come meet this sweet girl and check out the festival - it will such a great weekend.   Complete an adoption application here: https://www.happyfeetpetrescue.com/ ##2751336##

Ash Male DOB 07/02/26 Icons Working on housetraining High energy Hi! My name is Ash, and I'm the leader of Momma Maple's "Tree Pups"! We started out as a litter of six, but our sister Laurel was recently adopted. Now, five of us are still waiting for our forever homes! Our mom, Maple, is a petite 18-pound Beagle mix who took wonderful care of us. Thanks to her, we are all happy, healthy, and thriving. According to our DNA test, we are 54.1% Beagle, 20.6% Shetland Sheepdog, and 8.1% Dachshund, with just a sprinkle of Chihuahua, Poodle and some other breeds mixed in. Since our mom is so small, we expect to stay on the smaller side once fully grown. Meet the crew: Birch: The biggest boy of the bunch, weighing in at 8 pounds at 8 weeks old. He's cuddly, easygoing, and my best buddy. With his tan coat, he looks a bit like a miniature yellow Lab! Joshua: Our goofy, fun "baby brother." He has adorable shorter legs—definitely the Dachshund shining through! He's always up for a good wrestling match. Aspen: She was the runt of the litter, but she has caught up beautifully. She looks the most like Momma Maple with her slim build and long legs. Aspen is smart and independent—she was the first to wean, the first to master squeaky toys, and is already catching on to potty training! Olive: A sweet, laid-back girl with the fluffiest coat of the group. Like Joshua, she rocks the low-rider look with shorter legs and loves to lounge. Ash (That's me!): The coolest guy around! I have a sleek build like my momma, but foster mom says she sees a little Sheltie in my expressive eyes and cute little nose. I'm a happy-go-lucky pup who loves playtime just as much as snuggling. We are the sweetest Beagle mix puppies and all ready to fill your home with cuddles, puppy kisses, and endless love! NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI). ---------------------------- Please read our Standards for Adoption and the information about beagles and puppies before you submit an adoption application. Remember that owning a puppy is a full-time commitment and you must have the time to commit to a dog that will be with you for 12-17 years. Beagle puppies are cute - but they are very challenging. Puppies may eat your apartment (no refund of security deposit); people who are gone for more than 5 hours at a time will need to make dog walker, neighbor or doggie daycare arrangements. We discourage the adoption of puppies to families with children under the age of six, since puppies will chew toys, shoes, blankets, hands, feet and other important parts of your child's anatomy.

MOOSE 1 – 2 years GYPSY 1 – 2 years Attributes: Bonded pair Dog friendly Shy Medium energy Housetrained Snuggly Requires fence Playful Meet Gypsy & Moose, a sweet, inseparable duo who have grown up side-by-side and are ready to find a loving home together. At just 1.5 years old, Gypsy (19 lbs) and Moose (22 lbs) are young, playful, and full of heart. Their previous family adored them deeply, but due to hard times, they were lovingly surrendered to Midwest BREW so they could have the future they deserve. Gypsy is the more outgoing of the pair—curious, affectionate, and quick to offer trust once she feels safe. Moose is a gentle soul with longer hair and a beagle-plus-cocker look. He’s more reserved at first, but once he warms up, he becomes a devoted snuggler who melts into your lap. Both pups were not well socialized early in life, so they’re shy when meeting new people. They do get nervous in new situations. They’ll need a couple of weeks to settle in. Gypsy and Moose are fun, lively dogs who enjoy toys, chasing a ball, and wrestling with each other. Watching them play is guaranteed to bring joy and laughter to their home. They will need a secured fenced yard as they LOVE doing zoomies together 3–4 times a day. It’s their favorite shared ritual. They are fully house trained and know how to use a dog door. They enjoy daily walks and are improving on leash manners. They sleep in bed with their foster parents and adore bedtime snuggles. This pair will thrive with adopters who can offer patience, consistency, and a secure environment. Once they feel safe, Gypsy and Moose become affectionate, playful companions who bring double the love and double the fun. NOTE: Dogs may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
