Story
Sadie is very pretty girl, with the most soulful eyes brown eyes you have ever seen, and the sweetest freckles on her legs.
She's a happy and goofy girl, aways wagging her tail and often has a smile. She is gentle and doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She puts up with the tiny residence dogs when they pull her ears, jump up on her or nip her legs. She tries to play with them but they don't reciprocate. She would do well with another dog her size to play with.
She loves to be outside and let her hound nose take over. She enjoys smelling the outdoor smells, perhaps sensing the bunnies or squirrels who visited the yard before her. Sadie is crate trained, but would much prefer being with her person at night.
She loves to give the people she loves her sweet kisses, probably as much as she loves peanut butter and cheese. Sadie is very interested in the senior residence cats. I don't think she would hurt them but they are not too happy with her interest and simply stay away from her. She has not had any interaction with children, but with her gentle nature and medium size, I believe a family would be good for her.
Unfortunately, Sadie came into rescue with heartworms. She is under treatment and is in the final stretch of her treatment. If you are a hound lover, please consider Sadie. You will have a loyal friend forever.
