Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hershel is currently in a foster home and not at the shelter. He is a breeder release from Ohio. He's been working on learning to be a dog again, very shy of people still and he prefers woman over men. His crate is his happy place and he must have a fenced in yard as currently he is a flight risk. He is happiest with the other dogs in his foster house, so another dog or two is a must.Lastly, we will be requiring his new family to get a GPS collar/tracker due to him being a flight risk. Please call the shelter if you would like more info on him!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 5, 2023, 3:48 pm

Story
Snoopy: Male Beagle Mixed Breed Puppy - Hi, I’m an enthusiastic 7 month old, 33 lbs puppy who loves to play. I have lots of energy to play with dogs and chase a ball. I am food motivated which helps with training though it’s hard to stay in a sit position and wait for a treat. I’m working on that. I am crate trained and potty outside with few accidents indoors. I love exploring on my daily walks. If you think I’ll be a perfect fit, fill out an application at www.buffalounderdogs.com ##1840838##

Story
The Kramer family has chosen to sponsor the costs of transport and medical care for the 17 Walworth dogs as a Christmas gift in honor of all our fur babies we have lost over the years and all my friends' fur babies that have also crossed the Rainbow Bridge - none will ever be forgotten.  Our Christmas wish is that each of the Walworth-furred ones find loving homes where they are cherished. Merry Christmas sweet Pups!  Love, Cheryl, Dave, Ryan, and Cassie Kramer   Brownie was born around December 4, 2020 and weighs about 15 pounds.  Joyful received a message asking for help in the Rochester area with a home that had 30 dogs.   The humans started taking in dogs that no one wanted and after a few years, they became overwhelmed and asked for help. Brownie rides well in the car and walks fine on a leash. You will have some work to do on house training but Brownie is a very smart boy and already learning the ropes.  Brownie is a bit shy at first so maybe no little kids.  Brownie loves other dogs and adores his humans.  This is all we know so far and we will be learning as we go and so will you!    The Adoption Fee for this dog is $500.00 Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a "complete" pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES   We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. Story
Jolene was born around June 24, 2022 and weighs about 20-25 pounds.  Jolene came to us from Kentucky with the one hour at a time volunteer transport team and a very kind overnight foster person.  Everyone along the way adored her as we do now! Jolene did have a home in Kentucky with the town drunk and he tossed her out the front door and said he 'wanted her gone'.  A kind neighbor called her over and kept her until she could get her into the hands of another kind person and then she, tearfully, loaded her in the first transport car to come her to us.  She is very sweet and affectionate and really loves to be carried (good thing she's little) and snuggled with.  Jolene rides well in the car and LOVES to wrestle, play, run, with other dogs and she does need another fun playmate in her next life.   She is also a very good swimmer.  This is all we know so far and we will be learning as we go!  The Adoption Fee for this dog is $500.00 Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Story
I'm Really Nice Boy!  Max was born about August 30, 2010 and weighs too much at about 60 lbs.  He is definitely Beagley, but seems to be a bit larger and longer than normal so there could be some Basset mixed in.  Whatever breed he may be he is about the sweetest guy you'd ever want to meet.  He is also quiet, which we really appreciate.  He is wonderful with the other dogs, loves to go for rides, is house trained and fine with children.  He is with us because his human father had to take a job where he would be away for 10-12 hours a day and this was back in 2014.   Max was adopted a few times and always returned.  The first time is was because he couldn't be alone and it was much less alone than he was used to.  Then the next two times we found humans home much or all the time and then their lives changed.  When Max came back the third time and realizing what was happening and it was obvious his heart was hurting our amazing team of volunteers asked us to not put him back up for adoption and let him be a sanctuary pet at Joyful Rescues.  Which he has been and he is very, very, happy here with all the dogs and there is at least one human here at ALL times.  A volunteer once thought she'd try to foster him and found that she could not even take a shower without him becoming destructive trying to get to her. So, Max came back the same day.  We LOVE this guy and he LOVES the volunteers and staff at the main location - Max is living his best life - the best life for him.        SPONSOR ME Look for the Link 'Special Instructions to Seller' if you want to note a particular pet.
