Name: Joe DOB:11/30/25Gender: male Weight: 5 poundsLocation: Buffalo, NYStatus: adoptable starting January 25, so start getting your applications  Our mom, Princess, is a sweet beagle mix who was found as a stray in Kentucky, very pregnant and in urgent need of a rescue. Just in time, she was given a safe place to land and like any good fairy tale, the next chapter came fast. The very next day, Princess gave birth to 10 tiny heirs. We don’t know who our dad is (mystery prince ), but we do know our mom is definitely a beagle — and we’ve inherited her charm, floppy ears, and sweet personalities. From the moment we were born, our foster mom has taken such great care of us, making sure we were safe, loved, and thriving every step of the way. Raised in foster care with love and stability, we’ve been busy growing, cuddling, and preparing for our royal debuts. If you are interested in adopting, please apply at www.716paws.org/adopt. Story
Samantha is an approximately 6-month-old female weighing about 23 pounds, with a beautiful tri-color coat of brown, white, and black. Her start in life was challenging—she was rescued at just 6 weeks old after becoming paralyzed due to a severe intestinal parasite infestation. With prompt intervention and care from specialized veterinarians, Samantha made a complete recovery and has no resulting issues. Because she spent so much time at the veterinary clinic early on, Samantha developed a truly unique and confident personality. She is extremely energetic, playful, and thrives on interaction. She would do best in a home that already has another dog, as she loves having a playmate to match her energy. Samantha is very clever, obedient, and intelligent, and she’s eager to learn. Like any puppy, she still needs patience, consistency, and plenty of love. She is crate-friendly, primarily for sleeping, and is house-trained, as long as she is on a good schedule. Samantha is a resilient, joyful puppy ready to bring energy, intelligence, and affection into the right home. Samantha will arrive in Albion, NY in mid January and we would love to have a family waiting for her! * Please note: All dogs are rescues so we often do not know the actual breeds but use an educated guess to tell you what they most look like. Our adoption fee is $400 and unless otherwise stated all dogs and puppies have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, 4DX tested(if age appropriate), Put on heartworm/flea/tick prevention, age appropriately vaccinated, dewormed, vet checked and flown from Puerto Rico. Story
Jolene was born around June 24, 2022 and weighs about 20-25 pounds.  Jolene came to us from Kentucky with the one hour at a time volunteer transport team and a very kind overnight foster person.  Everyone along the way adored her as we do now! Jolene did have a home in Kentucky with the town drunk and he tossed her out the front door and said he 'wanted her gone'.  A kind neighbor called her over and kept her until she could get her into the hands of another kind person and then she, tearfully, loaded her in the first transport car to come here to us.  She is very sweet and affectionate and really loves to be carried (good thing she's little) and snuggled with and have her belly rubbed.  Jolene rides well in the car and LOVES to wrestle, play, run, with other dogs and she does need another fun playmate in her next life and a large enough, physically fenced, safe area in which they can release the energy she has.   She is also a very good swimmer.  She is not a constant barker, but when she feels like it she sure can whoop it up and when she is on a trail of some fun odor she can be heard a ways away.  The Adoption Fee for this dog is $500.00 Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES   We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.   Can't Adopt Me?  SPONSOR ME Look for the Link 'Special Instructions to Seller' if you want to note a particular pet Before you seek to adopt a pet from Joyful Rescues, please read our Pet Adoption page http://www.joyfulrescues.org/pet_adoption.html. Story
Ace was born about May 28, 2016 and weighs about 43 lbs.  He is a really adorable and HAPPY tri-colored boy that was released to us after his human went into assisted memory care.  We were sent a photo of a small shack with a dirt floor and a hole for him to go outside into a small fenced area and then he got to get out to go rabbit huntin' now and then.  Well, no more and here he is in his foster home all clean, warm and cozy with a choice of blankies to cuddle in.  He adores us humans and strives to be near us.  His tail is constantly in motion whenever we look his way or talk to him.  Speaking of his tail, we were sad to discover that there is a plum sized mass under the base of his tail and at the top of his rectum.   The mass was biopsied and it is cancerous and in a location that we were advised would be extremely difficult to fix with a  potential the surgery would be fatal.  So, Ace is a hospice case and he is welcome to spend his life here with us, but maybe a special human will come along willing to adopt him.  At this time he has no idea he has any issues.  Ace is happy, appears healthy, and is loving life!   He quickly learned the dog door and he, and the friend he came here with, were absolutely delighted to have so much yard to meander and sniff!  Ace did well on his car ride here and he does fine on leash.  He is excellent with all the other dogs here small and large, he's never been around cats.  He is a love and we love him already and we know there are humans out there that can show Ace what his life should have always been like and give him all the love that he's missed out on all these years! The Adoption Fee for this dog is $_TBD_. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability.
