Story
Tiny is a petite, sensitive soul who has clearly had to navigate a tough start in life. Because of that, she values her personal space and feels safest when interactions are calm, respectful, and on her terms. With other dogs, Tiny communicates clearly-she'll give a warning growl if another dog comes too close, and once her boundaries are respected, she's able to settle and relax. She's shown that with calm, non-reactive dogs who give her space, Tiny can decompress, sniff politely, and even lie down nearby. High-energy dogs that are still learning boundaries can make her feel stressed, so slow, thoughtful introductions are important for her success. While she may coexist with the right dog in an experienced home, Tiny would truly thrive as the only dog, where she can feel secure and never have to compete for space or resources.Tiny is learning that people can be trusted-and it's been beautiful to watch. She's formed a strong bond with her caregiver and now seeks out affection, even choosing to curl up and lay on them. She's also made gentle progress with children, cautiously approaching an older child and allowing petting-something she wouldn't have felt safe doing just a week ago.Her kennel is her safe haven, and she does very well in it. She keeps her space clean and shows all the signs that house training will come easily in a home environment. Tiny doesn't want chaos-she wants peace, consistency, and someone who understands that trust is earned, not rushed.Tiny would do best in a quiet, adult-only or older-child home, ideally as the only dog, with someone who can offer patience, structure, and love. In return, she'll give deep loyalty, quiet companionship, and the incredibly rewarding experience of watching a once-guarded heart fully open. Meet Starburst! Just like her sweet name suggests, Starburst is full of sweetness and charm. This adorable little girl is the spitting image of her mama, a small breed dog weighing approximately 25 lbs, so Starburst is expected to stay on the smaller side as she grows. Starburst is a friendly, social puppy who loves everyone she meets. She's currently being fostered with multiple dogs and cats and gets along wonderfully with all of them. When she's not busy exploring or playing, you'll often find her snuggled up beside her brother Skor, enjoying a well-earned nap. Together, they love following their foster family around the house and being part of whatever is happening. Like many puppies, Starburst is still an empty slate with endless potential. She is looking for a family committed to providing the time, patience, and training needed to help her grow into the amazing adult dog she's destined to be. She'll happily let you know when someone is at the door, but her favorite job is simply being your loyal companion. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate puppy to join your family and share life's adventures with, Starburst may be the perfect match. Story
Miss Petunia's journey hasn't been an easy one. When she first arrived, she was battling multiple medical issues that left her uncomfortable, exhausted, and in need of a great deal of care. Through it all, she never gave up. Day by day, she fought her way back to health with quiet determination, showing everyone around her just how resilient and special she truly is. Today, Miss Petunia is a happy, loving girl who embraces life exactly as she is. Most of her fur has grown back, though she may always have a few uniquely bare spots that tell the story of everything she has overcome. Those little imperfections only make her more beautiful to the people who know and love her. Her ears deserve a special mention. When she shakes her head, they flap with such enthusiasm that it sounds like a tiny helicopter preparing for takeoff. It never fails to bring a smile to your face and has become one of her many charming trademarks. Miss Petunia is also a firm believer that mornings are meant to be enjoyed slowly. She loves her sleep and has perfected the art of taking her time. While others may rush through the day, Miss Petunia prefers a gentler pace and reminds us that not everything needs to happen right away. Like any proud Beagle, she has plenty to say. When she's excited, happy, or wants to share an opinion, she'll let out a howl that could rival a fire truck siren. It's all part of her personality and one of the many reasons she's impossible not to love. What truly makes Miss Petunia special, though, is the depth of her affection. Once she trusts you, she'll gently rest her head in your hand, close her eyes, and completely melt into your touch. Those quiet moments reveal the sweet soul behind her funny quirks and remind you just how grateful she is for love and kindness. She isn't demanding or clingy. Instead, she enjoys simply being near her people. Whether she's curled up nearby, following you from room to room, or stopping by for a brief cuddle before moving on to her next adventure, she finds comfort in being part of the family. Miss Petunia gets along well with other dogs and enjoys occasional play sessions, but she doesn't need a canine companion to be happy. She would do just as well soaking up all the love and attention as the only dog in the home. Miss Petunia isn't looking for perfection. She's looking for a family that will cherish her exactly as she is-a survivor with a heart full of love, a sense of humor all her own, and a gentle spirit that shines through every day. After everything she's overcome, she deserves a home where she can spend her golden years feeling safe, adored, and part of a family. If you're looking for a dog whose story is one of resilience, loyalty, and unconditional love, Miss Petunia may be the missing piece you've been searching for. Story
Ramona / Female / 4 Years /23 lbs / Beagle Mix / Good with Dogs / Untested Kids / Untested Cats / From Mexico / Fostered in Toronto **Follow Ramona's journey on Instagram: @Apple.the.potato Ramona's rescue was completely unplanned. After a busy three-day spay campaign that had already resulted in eleven dogs being brought to safety, her rescuer was determined not to take on another. Then Ramona appeared. She was found in heat and being chased by a pack of male dogs. Despite having no intention of rescuing another dog that weekend, her rescuer knew she couldn't leave her behind. Since that day, Ramona has seemingly been trying to repay the favour with endless cuddles, kisses, and affection. Today, Ramona is a confident, affectionate, and wonderfully goofy girl who absolutely loves people. She thrives on attention, believes every lap belongs to her, and will happily roll onto her back for a belly rub at every opportunity. One of her sweetest habits is carrying her humans' shoes to her favourite sleeping spot—not to chew them, but simply because she likes having their scent nearby. Ramona is social, friendly, and eager to make new friends. She loves being included in family life, whether that's joining you on an adventure, going for a walk, or curling up beside you for a cuddle. She enjoys toys, chews, frozen Kongs, car rides, and playtime with her canine friends. She hasn't been formally tested with kids but we believe she would love human siblings! She gets along well with other dogs and would likely do well with a respectful dog sibling following proper introductions. She has not been tested with cats. On leash, she can be reactive toward unfamiliar dogs, so her future family should be prepared to continue working on this with positive reinforcement and management. In the home, Ramona is an absolute dream. She is house trained, trustworthy when left alone, non-destructive, and has wonderful house manners. She settles easily into routines and has been described by her foster family as one of the easiest dogs they have ever fostered. Ramona is looking for a family who will include her in their lives, shower her with affection, and appreciate the loyal, loving companion she is. In return, she'll provide endless cuddles, plenty of laughs, and a lifetime of devotion. Prior to coming into care, Ramona tested positive for Ehrlichia which is a tick-borne infection and is not contagious. A CBC was performed to see if there is an active infection. Ramona 's CBC came back indicating that there was an active infection which is improving, but still needs another recheck in 4-6 weeks (retest due middle/end of July). The Ehrlichia also has made some minor elevation changes in her kidney levels so a urine work up is also pending. It is recommended that Ehrlichia positive dogs get an annual blood test to monitor and that pre-op blood work including a CBC test and platelet count be performed before any surgeries or dental extractions. Musculoskeletal: - Ramona has a valgus deformity of her front legs. This is when the paw turns outward, away from the midline, at the wrist, typically affecting the front legs, as seen on Ramona. Valgus deformities are a type of angular limb deformity, which are caused by abnormal bone growth due to rapid growth, injury, or damage to a dog's growth plate. Ramona shows no signs of discomfort and doesn't need any medication or surgery to correct it, it is just a characteristic! If at any point she starts to become lame or show signs of discomfort then a further radiograph work up is recommended. If you’re interested in adopting Ramona, please apply at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form Ramona’s adoption fee is $850. Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Forest Age: 1 year old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Beagle Jindo mix Color: Brown (with some white spots on my chest, paws,& tip of my tail) Weight: 10kg / 22lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a crowded city pound after being placed on the euthanasia list due to a lack of space. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in just in time and gave me a second chance at life. Now, I'm safe, loved, and ready to find a forever family of my own. I can't wait to start the next chapter of my journey with people who will cherish me and love me forever.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY While I can be a little shy at first, I warm up quickly and am a very resilient boy. The love and care I've received at the care facility have helped me come out of my shell, and these days I often approach new people with curiosity and affection. I have a big appetite and love my meals, but I also have a fast metabolism and don't gain weight easily, which is why I maintain my slim, athletic figure. I'm a popular guy among my dog friends and, being a young dog, I enjoy fooling around, playing, and having fun with my buddies. I'm also a very affectionate boy who enjoys building relationships with the people I trust. I love giving kisses and look forward to spending time with the staff and volunteers who care for me. Although I'm healthy, I do have a slightly sensitive tummy, so I do best when new foods and treats are introduced gradually. One of my most charming features is my unique look. I have long, slender legs, a classic Jindo body, and an adorable Beagle-like face and ears. People often say I look a little sad all the time, but that's actually part of my charm and what makes me so irresistibly cute! With my sweet personality, playful spirit, and loving heart, I'm ready to find a forever family who will appreciate just how special I am.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I'm a little shy when meeting new people, but I warm up quickly with patience, kindness, and a few tasty treats. I'll happily take treats from your hand and allow gentle pets while I get to know you. As I become more comfortable, my affectionate side starts to shine. I allow myself to be picked up and, once I feel safe and relaxed, I love showing my belly for extra attention and rubs. With a little time, you'll discover that I'm a sweet and loving boy who enjoys building close bonds with my people. · With Dogs: I'm super friendly with my dog friends and love socializing with them. In fact, I'm quite popular among my canine buddies and enjoy spending time playing, exploring, and hanging out with the other dogs at the care facility. I generally get along best with dogs who have a similar size and energy level to mine, as we tend to enjoy the same style of play and interaction. My friendly and easygoing nature helps me make friends easily, and I genuinely enjoy having canine companions around. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I can pull on leash at times when I'm excited or curious, but overall I follow my handler's lead nicely and am a pleasant walking companion. I have excellent manners around food and do not guard my meals from people or other dogs. While I may bark occasionally to express myself, I'm generally a quiet and well-mannered boy. I know how to settle and rest calmly in my kennel when it's time to relax. For potty habits, I can use both pee pads indoors and go potty outdoors, giving my future family a great foundation to build on. Most importantly, my confidence continues to grow day by day. As I gain more positive experiences and build trust with the people around me, I'm becoming a happier, more confident version of myself every day.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I'm an overall chill, easygoing boy who doesn't ask for much. While I may need a little time to settle in and fully open up, I promise I'm worth the wait. Once I trust you, I'll happily shower you with kisses, affection, and plenty of requests for pets and attention. I have a well-balanced energy level and enjoy both outdoor adventures and relaxing at home. My gentle nature and sweet personality make me an easy companion to live with, and I'm happiest when I can simply spend time with my people. If you're looking for a mellow, loving dog who will become your loyal companion and best friend, I may be exactly who you've been searching for.   FOREST'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2763203##
