Introducing Gambit - the name's not just a coincidence; it's a testament to my ability to shape my destiny. Just like my Marvel/X-Men namesake, I've overcome my past and now look forward to a brilliantly bright future. My journey started in a rather somber place - a lonely field next to a gas station. Thankfully, kind souls would drop by, leaving me food and their hopes for a better life. One day, a persistent and resourceful lady decided to play her "pawn" and orchestrated my escape from that grim existence. Since then, I've been living with her and her doggy (and human) family. But now, I'm eagerly searching for my own forever family. Let's talk quirks. I'm a cheerful guy, but I've got some personal space boundaries. I'm protective of my face, so a home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids is my ideal match. I'm also a bit of a goofball and adore the company of other dogs. Now, I might not instantly become your best buddy; I take time to trust and get comfortable in my surroundings. But trust me, the patience will be worth it. I'm brimming with love and loyalty, just waiting for the right family to share it with. Here's the good news - I'm house and crate trained, proving that, yes, young dogs can indeed learn new tricks. Oh, and there's more - I'm pretty chill around cats, though a gentle introduction is wise. And I've been curious and respectful around a human baby, so that's a plus. One thing to note, though, is that I've had some reservations around men. Despite two years together, I haven't quite warmed up to my human's fianc and have snapped at him a few times. So, it might be best if I find a home without men. During a short stay with Kathy, I was a little shy but kept to myself. Hi. I'm Hermosa. My name means darling or beautiful. Boy, did my foster dad know what he was talking about when he gave me that name. You see, I am a beautiful female beagle mix. I was found wandering the streets by my foster dad with my 3 month old son, Pedro. I am approximately 20 pounds and a few years old. I am fairly energetic and love to play and go on walks. Foster dad says I am friendly to everyone I encounter. Foster dad even thinks I would be good with children. I do, however, have a tendency to chase cats. I also have been known to dig in the yard if I am bored and left unattended for long periods of time. I have been a great mother to Pedro but foster dad says those days are over! Foster dad says it may be hard to adopt us together since many folks are looking for a singleton. A girl can dream thought, right? We came into the rescue together after enduring hard times and we would love to leave together. If that isn't possible, we understand but please consider the advantages of having two. And will not go through a doorway if a person is standing by the door. She's shown what a loving little girl she is in her new foster home, but will need continued work and love.   She loves other dogs and to help her trust the people in the home, she will need another dog in the home to help her show her the way. Once she trusts you, she is quite affectionate. She loves pets and will give you kisses. She is not sure yet about being held and walks on a leash are still being worked on. It will be some time before she is able to go for walks. She is more of a homebody and quite happy to run and play in the yard with her dog friends. The  yard must be secure as she will need supervision as she does like to dig.   Jenny is a puppy so she's playful and has a lot of puppy energy! She is super cute and fun, but a lot of work. Her forever family should be committed to lots of training - obedience, housetraining, and socialization. This will ensure that she grows into a confident, well behaved adult! Meet Mollie! 🐶💕She was rescued from a Mass Dog Slaughterhouse with other 101 friends at the end of July. Mollie may need help to learn how to behave in a home environment. At first, Mollie did not know how to eat treats. She now even chews a lubber mat in the bottom of her cage. 😊 She always lays her head on the top of her feeding bowl and patiently waits for her kibble. Do you know how cute Mollie is when she peeks out from her cage to see the outside world? It is her signature pose! 🐶❣️ Even though Mollie is energetic, she was so scared when she first stepped out from her cage. She even had to be carried from her first walk since she was frozen during her walk. But now? She eagerly waits for her walking time with a volunteer and explores the nature. If she senses that the volunteer is exhausted, she takes a break from walking and waits for the volunteer to be re-energized. How sweet our Mollie is! 🐕 With a black magic cape she is wearing, Mollie would steal your heart right away. She is ready for any and all adventures ahead of her.
