Story
Meet Millie!
Nickname: Millie Vanilli
Breed: Beagle
Rescue: Albert’s Dog Lounge
Age: Sexy Senior
Weight: 40 lbs of pure wonderment
Hometown: Tennessee somewhere
Current digs: Hartland, WI
Personality Snapshot:
If I were a human, I would be your great aunt Ethel, who has multiple personalities. I am the sweet old lady, leaving lipstick kisses of your forehead whether you want them or not. Coming to visit you and sitting too close on the couch next to you to show my love. I have a marked lack of boundaries. But once I walk out your mom's door, I turn into that old lady who drinks Manhattans and catcalls hot guys. I just got a barbed wire tattoo because I lost a bet. And I ROCK it.
I love all people, men, women, boys, girls, tall, short. My foster mom says that I demand pets by pawing at you.... HARD if you aren't responding. I can get a little too exuberant, and demanding, so cover your sensitive bits, ok? I don't to do any permanent damage! Also watch me around little people. I don't want my zest for love and cuddles to accidentally knock someone over!
I love all the dogs, especially the ones who want to play with me, but if I am your one and only and YOU want to play with me, that is fine too. Big dogs, little dogs, let's play! Matching my energy and play style would be nice. I do zoomies, I like to play with a ball, and I like to wrestle with my friends. I can be pushy if someone doesn't want to play with me. I don't understand why they wouldn't!
Millie's Stats:
Sleep style: I am happy in a dog bed, but am even happier if the people bed is an option.
Meals: I eat American Natural Premium Turkey with Pumpkin, 3/4 cup twice a day. NomNom
Snore-o-meter: 2/10 I am a polite sleeper
Bark-o-meter: 3/10 I will let you know when someone comes to the door, and I will entertain you and your guests with the songs of my people (quintessential Beagle howl)
Shedding: 4/10 I prefer sparkle to shed. I sparkle. Your floors sparkle. You sparkle. But just a little bit.
Fashion sense: think 80s at their 80-est. Neon anything. Scrunchy socks. White Reebok aerobic shoes.
Signature color: Acid green and maybe a touch of super hot pink
Walk-out song: Bon Jovi's "Bad Medicine". Because I NEEEED your bad medicine. Gimmee all that love!
Favorite season: For a southern girl, I am an anomaly. I LOVE the snow! Give me the soft fluff of a snowy January day!
Dream job: Professional pickleballer. Us old gals still got game! And also, it allows me to smack that ball at Agnes. She is an annoying twit. She has it coming.
Special Notes:
As long as you have love to spare, I will be happy with you. A dog sibling would be great, but not totally necessary. If you do have another doggo, I would love it to be someone who wants to play.
I came up from Tennessee, where they thought I might be pre-diabetic, but my January 2026 bloodwork has my blood sugar looking just fine. I did have a lipoma removed before I came up too. Upon arrival, i was found to have Ehrlichia, and I am on Doxycycline until February 10. Other than that, no meds, no health issues!
