Story
Marigold is fostered in Milwaukee. Marigold is a very happy, loving, curious girl. After a few days of sizing up her new life, Marigold started to take in the world around her. She wants to be near her people and is learning the joys of snuggling up on the couch. Marigold has the softest ears and squishiest face, and she loves the attention. As each day passes and she settles in, she becomes more generous with kisses. Marigold isn't wasting anytime making up for the simple pleasures she missed out on before. She is curious about everyone and everything. She knows the neighbors give treats, enjoys a carrying around a good toy, and loves to sit on a comfy bed and enjoy a bully stick. Best of all, Marigold likes to smell flowers. She's going love exploring the yard in summer! Marigold also loves dogs. She iniates play with her foster siblings with the happiest play bow. She would really love siblings in her forever home. Marigold keeps her crate clean and potties outside. She needs time outside to get it done, but that gets better everyday. She is learning the leash and just like everything else she's mastered, it won't be long until she's excited to see a leash and go for a walk. There's a big world and many flowers to be sniffed out there! Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Story
Fern is living in a foster home in Madison, Wisconsin. This beautiful adult female beagle was recently welcomed into our foster program. She was vaccinated, microchipped and seen by a vet prior to her release to our rescue, so for her safety, she’ll be kept away from other dogs and outdoor spaces to give their immune systems time to adjust. Each girl is settling into a cozy bed in a loving foster home and that’s a dream come true. Once she receives complete medical care, she’ll be ready for a cozy bed in her forever home. We are accepting applications at this time, but not providing a timeline for adoption. Patience is her #1 need. Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Story
Rosebud is living in a foster home in Lake Mills, Wisconsin. This beautiful adult female beagle was recently welcomed into our foster program. No age or weight was given at this time. Rosebud is a happy, healthy, floppy-eared wonder of joy, love and understanding. Her soulful eyes are full of beagle mischief, adventure and warm snuggles. She is ready for a future of green grass, squeaky toys and afternoon naps snuggled in next to patient humans. Rosebud currently shares a home with two dogs and a few humans. She has fit right in. As she decompressed from her past she slowly found out being a dog is a pretty cool thing! Especially when you can lap water out of a bowl, get all the nose kisses and run free in a fenced in backyard. She is beginning to understand how to walk on a leash when properly fastened into a well-fitted harness. Loud noises are still scary but she recovers nicely when a calm voice tells her everything will be ok. She loves a good song and watching tv is pretty cool too. She is ready for a chill, patient family who will celebrate all her achievements and help her get through the unsure moments. Rosebud is a petite, intelligent and smoochable beagle who is ready to soak up the summer sun in a forever home. Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Story
Huckleberry is currently fostered in Fort Atkinson! Huckleberry was released from Ridglan and transferred to a shelter. When he wasn’t thriving there, he was transferred to our program. Huckleberry very much loves other dogs and like many of the beagles, would thrive with a confident canine companion. He is still learning the safety of the world and takes comfort in canine company. He’s is incredibly soft and sweet and loves to be pet. He’s a very good boy and will make a wonderful family member for a patient home. Fenced yards are ideal for safety and he loves to explore the grass and feel the sun on his floppy ears. Huckleberry has not had an accident in his foster home, which is not a very common thing! He still struggles going inside and outside and needs to be carried in when he is ready. He will sit in the grass and wait for his foster mom to come and pick him up. Huckleberry loves soft beds and has picked up a toy or two. His foster home has multiple crates available and he will choose to lay in one and chooses to sleep in one at night, with the door open. He likes routine and comfort and a patient home that can give that to him will be rewarded with his love for life! Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Story
Iris is being fostered in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, with two other Ridglan beagles. Iris was released from Ridglan and transferred to a shelter. When she wasn’t thriving there, she was transferred to our program. Iris is a sweet 3-year-old beagle who loves being close to her people. Whether she’s curled up in your lap, napping beside you, or cuddling with another dog, she’s happiest when she feels safe and loved. She’s already working hard at potty training and is learning about life in a home, including leash walking and basic cues. She does so much better when she has another dog by her side, plus when treats are involved. Iris can be shy with new experiences and loud noises, but other dogs help boost her confidence, and she enjoys their company and playtime. She would thrive in a calm, patient, and nurturing home with a secure fenced yard, and with another friendly dog to help her continue building confidence. If this sounds like your home, fill out an application for Iris. Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Leo, male, 1.2 yr old Beagle mix, 28 lbs. Leo is a handsome young Beagle who came to us from Arkansas after spending the first year of his life living in a backyard kennel. Despite that rough start, this boy’s spirit is still bright — his tail is always wagging, and he is so ready to feel loved. Leo is wonderful with other dogs and will require a confident dog companion in his forever home. Having another dog by his side helps him build confidence as he learns about the world for the first time. Once he warms up — and he warms up quickly — Leo becomes your loyal shadow and lifelong friend. He is gentle, affectionate, and incredibly eager to bond with his people and he loves children. He just needs a patient adopter who will give him a little time to trust. Leo appears to be housebroken and crate trained, and he’s catching on fast with his leash manners. He is doing beautifully in his foster home and continues to blossom every day. Because of his background, Leo will need a secure fenced‑in yard where he can safely explore and gain confidence at his own pace. This lovable boy deserves a family who will show him what it means to be cherished. If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive companion who will adore you forever, Leo may be your perfect match.    We are located at S47 W30760 State Road 59, North Prairie, WI As always, we never guarantee the breed OR the size they'll be as an adult.
