Sophie, a 9-year-old beagle mix, is the ultimate social butterfly—she adores dogs, cats, people, and even carrots! She’s happiest on a stroll but also enjoys neighborhood watch duty from her favorite cozy spot. Though she was recently diagnosed with diabetes, she’s doing well with insulin management.Her BFF, Scout, is a 10-year-old shih tzu mix who started life in a puppy mill, making her a bit shy around humans. But when it comes to dogs—especially Sophie—Scout is all in. Scout enjoys walks alongside Sophie, though she prefers to avoid grass.Sophie is potty-trained, while Scout prefers using a potty pad due to lingering effects from her early life. Both are up to date on vaccines and looking for a home filled with love. Can you give this loveable, bonded pair a safe space? Onyx is a cuddly, friendly girl who does well with other dogs, cats and kids. She is still working on housetraining which will have to be continued in her new home. A fenced in yard is required.Please submit an application at pawshs.org and NOT a Petfinder inquiry as they may not be answered due to the volume of these inquiries received. Our adoption fees include the cost of spaying/neutering, vaccinations (including rabies for cats / dogs over 4 months of age), flea prevention, worming, FeLV/FIV testing, heartworm test for dogs over 1 yrs old, and microchipping. Sydney is a Mama dog that is about 1 year old. Her previous owner told the shelter he left her and her 2 day old puppies at, that she is a Beagle/great Pyranese mix. She was not treated well at her previous home and is very human shy. We are working hard, along with her great foster home, to show her what love and care are. Her pups are tri colored and will be available in February. If you have any questions on Mama or pups or would like to make a donation to their care, please contact us.

Born: January 12, 2026 I am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $650 My litter includes: Bartley, Darling, and Sherlock All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble.
