Zeus (the third) has clearly had some training. He already knows how to sit, lay down and shake! Belgian Malinois are extremely smart and thrive in an environment with lots of continued training and mental stimulation. They are frequently trained as police K9 dogs or service dogs because they need a job to do and keep their brain busy. This breed is not suitable for someone without large dog experience or working breed/high energy experience. Zeus would do best in a large yard with secure high fencing and someone with an active lifestyle. He would be perfect for someone who runs daily or goes hiking regularly. Zeus would do best in a household with older teens who have been around high energy dogs before. We have not had Zeus around other dogs just yet, a meet and greet is required if there are already dogs in the household. No cats please, this breed has a high prey drive and would not do well.

3 1/2 year old female Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix About 75 lbs she's very timid, submissive, and shy. She LOVES all dogs no matter their size and always wants to play with all of them. She loves parks but will run away playing if it's not an enclosed park.She's very afraid of men but with patience she'll get used to him.Once she knows you're her person she'll sit on your feet and let you pet her. She knows some commands like sit, spin and shake hands. She had some leash training and walks well using the Gentle Leader. She'll do well with another dog as a companion for when you're not home. We don't have cats so we can't say how she would behave around them. She's very active and needs an active lifestyle. She needs at least 30 mins of walking everyday, or some other activities. She has mild kidney disease but she only requires special food. We'll gladly provide a month's prescription kibble, wet food and treats to the happy new owners.

Stary was rescued at the 11th hour right before she was scheduled to be put down. This girl now has a second chance at life and we can't wait to find her forever family. Stary is estimated to be about 10 months old and is about 45 pounds and still has some growing to do. She has puppy energy, but is very polite and takes treats gently and is already learning commands! She seems to be friendly with dogs, but has not yet been tested with cats. She is treat motivated and was already mastering "sit" in the first 20 minutes! She gazes deep into your eyes and just wants to love and be loved. This little angel is currently staying at 2 Hands 4 Paws to get her leg back to normal! The shelter thinks she has some hariline fratures, possibly from being hit by a car, but you would never know it with the way she moves around. We are going to get her healed and taken care of and would love to schedule meet-and-greets for her future family. ##1972314##
