Due to an unexpected change in my partner and I's living situation, we are no longer able to provide McKenzie with the stable and appropriate home she deserves. She is a 2 year old, medium-sized dog and a very sweet, affectionate girl. McKenzie has received all her necessary vaccinations, is spayed, is microchipped, and knows a few basic commands such as sit and high five. She's a very energetic, intelligent dog who thrives with structure, consistent engagement, and daily activity. She has a silly and warm personality and is very protective. When meeting new people or in unfamiliar environments, she does best with a calm, confident approach, as she can become reactive if she feels overwhelmed or threatened. With patience, clear boundaries, and proper exercise, she is able to settle, warm up, and be responsive. Our goal is to ensure she is placed somewhere safe and responsible, and we are doing everything we can to avoid putting her in a stressful or unsafe situation.

Eddie is about 6 years old. He loves being around people. He loves playing fetch with a ball. He doesn’t quite understand personal space with new people. Sometimes greets new people by hopping up and trying to lick their face, after that he just wants you to pet him and toss the ball! He does require a lot of space, he has tons of energy. Really good at bringing the ball back to you and dropping it. Knows simple commands. “Drop” “Sit” “Down”(Lays down) “Stay” sometimes works depending on if he really wants to listen. Before throwing the ball say “Go!” And he’ll run ahead of the throw.

Gushen is a striking young Malinois raised as part of our Paws with Purpose project dedicated to pairing dogs as companions for veterans, with the potential to grow into full-service roles. From the start, he’s been raised at a ranch with structure, love, and purpose. Unlike many high-energy Malinois, Gushen has a calm, steady presence. He enjoys lounging at your side, napping in the sun, and watching the world with quiet confidence. Yet, when it’s time to play, he runs with power, engages the pack, and shows the athleticism the breed is known for. Respectful, non-destructive, and rarely vocal, Gushen communicates more through posture and awareness than noise, a grounded dog who adapts to the energy around him. Because he was raised with the goal of one day joining a veteran, we are especially seeking a foster family to continue his training and socialization. We also welcome qualified adopters who may not be veterans but can provide a stable, structured, and loving forever home.
