He is great with dogs when introduced correctly to and is a typical shepherd that’s vocal in play and likes to slap with his paws! He is still slowly putting weight on but is doing great! Arty will require somone who has had previous breed experience If you have previously applied with us please email adoptionatmars@gmail.com to reactivate your application with new interest.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    DOB: 02/08/2021 Requires another dog in home: No, picky about her friends Okay with dogs of all sizes: Not good with small dogs - read more in profile  Okay with cats: No, dog savvy cats only Okay with children under 12 years old: Older, considerate kids only Requires a fenced yard: No Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area. Invisible/ underground fencing is not recommended for most rescue dogs. Hello, my name is Raquel. I am a stunning, wrinkly-faced young adult female Belgian Malinois/Boxer mix with an adorable underbite who’s the perfect mix of energetic and relaxed. I am an unpredictable gal with a high prey drive so cats are not a good fit for me; I’m reactive when it comes to other dogs or unknown/sudden sounds like bikes whizzing by etc.; and I’m a pack follower so if there’s a fight, I may feel compelled to join the chaos. That said, I went to a training facility where there were many other dogs and I did great so I think with time, patience, and continued training I may overcome these ‘quirks’ of mine!! Hee, hee! Anyway, my favorite activities include cuddling with my people; going for leashed walks; snoozing on the couch; eating; playing with squeaky toys; chewing on bones/sticks; chasing the cat; chilling with my canine sib; running zoomies; and barking at strangers outside! I don’t like a lot of commotion and have been known to bite if someone comes into the house when foster mom is not home. I am, however, a very smart girl who will not only give myself a kenneled ‘time-out’ if I’m barking too much but I am potty trained and I know commands like “sit”, “down”, “kennel/crate”, and “heel”! Seriously, how brilliant am I!?! I am a great listener too which makes training a lot easier! Hee, hee!! I know that I’m a bit unpredictable right now but I’m still young and I really am a sweetheart who simply wants to find unconditional love in my own furever home with a patient family who will NEVER give up on me! My heart is SO full of love that I really want to share with YOU…please be my new family, I assure you I’m worth it! Love Raquel NOTE: Raquel has had a DNA test and is 38% Belgian Malinois, 18% Boxer and 17% American Pitbull Terrier Note that this dog has been treated for heartworm  and will need monthly heartworm preventatives year round for life.  Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit.  Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.      ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. Story
Meet Ranger, the intelligent and active Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and boundless energy. This handsome boy is a fast learner and has mastered essential commands like sit, down, wait, and shake. He's so clever that he tackled a level 3 puzzle on his first try! Ranger is a well-behaved and well-trained pup, making him a pleasure to have around the house. He's house trained, crate trained, and shows no signs of destructiveness indoors. However, he does experience some separation anxiety when his human leaves the house, which is why he's kept in his crate during errands. But don't worry, when he's playing in the backyard with his furry friend, he's perfectly content and doesn't exhibit any separation anxiety. Ranger is an active boy who loves going on walks, and he'll gladly accompany you on all your outdoor adventures. While Ranger is intelligent and affectionate, he can be barrier reactive, meaning he may react when he encounters certain barriers or boundaries. Patience and positive reinforcement training can help him overcome this behavior. This is very typical behavior for both breeds and he absolutely has to be adopted into a Mali/GSD knowledgeable family/ Ranger was in pretty rough shape when rescued and the vet initially thought he had an intestinal disease. Nothing was definitively diagnosed but the vet believes he has small intestinal issues. He is on a folate vitamin daily and will just need annual lab work and a high quality RAW FOOD diet. Ranger's charm and charisma shine through in the photos and videos provided, capturing his playful and loving nature. If you're looking for a smart, active, and affectionate companion, Ranger is the perfect match. Give him the love and care he deserves, and he'll reward you with loyalty and companionship like no other. Meet Rainier – A Spirited and Loyal Companion! Rainier is a stunning 7-year-old Belgian Malinois who may have a little seniority in age but still has the energy and zest of a much younger pup! This incredible girl has so much life left in her and is eager to find a forever family that will cherish her. Rainier has been treated for heartworms and has fully completed her treatment. To ensure she stays protected, several months of heartworm prevention will be included with her adoption at no additional cost. She is house-trained, crate-trained, spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccines and preventions—completely ready to start her next chapter! With a strong prey drive, Rainier takes her role as Squirrel Patrol Enforcement Officer very seriously. While she’s not the best match for a home with cats (she finds their zoomies irresistible to chase), she’s fantastic with kids and gets along well with other dogs, often showing a sweet and submissive side in canine company. Despite her age, Rainier is still full of adventure and would make an excellent companion for someone looking for a loyal, fun-loving, and devoted dog. If you’re searching for a faithful friend with a big heart and an even bigger personality, Rainier is ready to meet you! Submit your adoption application today—this wonderful girl is waiting to brighten your life! 🐾❤️ $200 Local Adoption Fee (in Texas) $450 Out of State Fee (includes transport to your area)

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
How do you write a bio on eight week old maligators... That are 100% full on... Part of the breed is their nipping and their mouthiness... This is not a behavior you train out of them any more than you teach a border collie not to herd sheep or herd 3-year-old toddlers🤣 for that matter This breed works with their mouth and their nose and unfortunately, their incredible intelligence😳... I get tons of apps for the breed, cuz they are stunning and they have a reputation and one of the first things I put in every bio is must have breed knowledge or something extremely similar❤️ I'm always stunned how many applications have absolutely nothing to offer as far as experience... I don't say this to be difficult.. and I don't say this to think that not everyone is capable of handling the breed... But the reality is... Not everyone is capable of handling the breed People always say, well we're real active we do a lot of running and jogging, physical activity is not enough for this breed... They'll outrun you, out play you, out frisbee catch you, out swim you in all things and then they will wear you out because they will look at you like now what 😁 😄😳 These puppies are full on Belgian Malinois... They are purebred with no papers.. I have seen both parents and they are stunning.. we were able to fix the mom praise God... These guys have the angst 😳.. and if you don't know what that means then you don't know the breed 🤣 They have the energy.. they have the 100% commitment of loyalty and they have the brilliance😉 So, if you want to talk about owning the breed then I recommend you put an application in... But if you have no knowledge of what it means to work with an intelligent dog as far as... Mental stimulation.. mental work.. plus physical work... Plus the constant of this breed... The absolute relentless pursuit of all things crazy...😳 we will need to talk If your first time owner really wanting the breed it's not to say you can't have the breed... I didn't always have the breed... And I promise you there are many days, I'm not the brightest one in the group when I'm sitting with three of them... But I do understand the parameters... I understand mental... As well as physical... And I'm committed to the insanity of the breed. 🤣😉❤️ These kids also broke with parvo... And thank God, God's Dogs Rescue has the mono colloidal parvo injection... Because they were sick less than 8 hours😳... But that is also attributed to the fact is I recognize a sign of a puppy being off literally within an hour in behavior... And got them to the injections quickly.... They are an incredible breed .. they will wear you out mentally daily 😁 .... But they are incredible these kids are going to be amazing... They would be fantastic for someone who wants to commit to working with the dog and helping them shine in all their brilliance ❤️ So.. if you want to learn more you can go to our website and put in an application 😉 but we will have conversation😳 www.godsdogsrescue.org And be prepared for destruction of all things personal 🤣🤣 be prepared for occasional bloodshed jk...sort of..(ie: bitey scratches and love nips) but also be prepared that if you commit to this dog and this breed you will probably never own another breed❤️❤️❤️ Rating on a scale of 1 to 4 as far as who's the most crazy to the most laid-back.. and mind you this is relative to the moment.. this order can be changed at any time 🤣 Most mal lol 1. Rodeo 2. Boomer 3. Aslan 4. Minx Local Adoption fee is $250 ( In Texas) Out of state adoption fee is $550( includes transport to your area)

Story
Tulane is a timid pup; he's just a baby who wants to be a homebody and cuddle buddy. This sweet Shepherd mix is all about love and affection—he’ll happily snuggle up in your arms and shower you with warmth whenever you need it most. Tulane is a big fan of being close to his humans, and once he feels comfortable, you'll discover an incredibly loyal companion who’s always by your side. Whether it's a quick snuggle session or just being in the same room, Tulane thrives on love and connection. Tulane is already house-trained and crate-trained, so he’s ready to settle right into your home. While he’s friendly with other dogs, Tulane would prefer to be the only dog in his house. He does best when he has his home and his people to himself, so he can soak in all the attention and have a place to decompress.  Tulane has a condition called patellar luxation, affecting his kneecap, but with a few lifestyle adjustments, he’s still an active and joyful dog. The vet recommends avoiding long walks on pavement, but this doesn't keep him from living life to the fullest—he’s great at finding ways to entertain himself without putting stress on his knee. If you're looking for an affectionate, and incredibly loyal companion, Tulane is the one for you! With him by your side, you'll always have a furry friend to keep you company and fill your heart with joy. Take this sweet soul home and let him bring love and warmth into your life. Story
Meet Brodie, a spirited and lovable 1-year-old German Shepherd ready to steal your heart!  I am such a good boy, you will love me once you meet me.  I am potty trained, I stay in my kennel at night with no problems. I am still young, about one year old so I do still have some puppy attitude and I love my chew toys.  However I do not chew on furniture, shoes, anything I am not suppose to chew on. I am very social and love all the people I have met and dogs that have come to visit me.  My foster dad loves to be in the garage working on stuff and the loud noises do not seem to bother me at all. Please consider me as your next puppy.  I will not disappoint.   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, dental, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
