I am a stunning, wrinkly-faced young adult female Belgian Malinois/Boxer mix with an adorable underbite who’s the perfect mix of energetic and relaxed. I am an unpredictable gal with a high prey drive so cats are not a good fit for me; I’m reactive when it comes to other dogs or unknown/sudden sounds like bikes whizzing by etc.; and I’m a pack follower so if there’s a fight, I may feel compelled to join the chaos. That said, I went to a training facility where there were many other dogs and I did great so I think with time, patience, and continued training I may overcome these ‘quirks’ of mine!! Hee, hee! Anyway, my favorite activities include cuddling with my people; going for leashed walks; snoozing on the couch; eating; playing with squeaky toys; chewing on bones/sticks; chasing the cat; chilling with my canine sib; running zoomies; and barking at strangers outside! I don’t like a lot of commotion and have been known to bite if someone comes into the house when foster mom is not home. I am, however, a very smart girl who will not only give myself a kenneled ‘time-out’ if I’m barking too much but I am potty trained and I know commands like “sit”, “down”, “kennel/crate”, and “heel”! Seriously, how brilliant am I!?! I am a great listener too which makes training a lot easier! Hee, hee!! Welcome Jack to CCPAL Rescue. Jack is a 4-month-old German Shepherd Pup. He weighs about 35 pounds and he has some really wonky ears. They should be upright sometime soon. He bonds very deeply to his human and follows her around everywhere. He is good in his crate and good with other dogs. He is smart and wants to learn. He is still very clumsy and very much puppy, even though he is pretty big. His dad was around 100 pounds. Jack may be 75 pounds full grown is our best guess. He was found on the side of the road that someone was giving them away or going to take them to the pound. CCPAL took the girl and the boy puppy. Our guess a breeder or something. Jack goes potty outside. He will take a bath but doesn’t like the blowdryer much. He has a medium length coat with some waviness on the hair near his back and back legs. He is a big baby boy, even if he does look like he will have a fierce look. He would be great with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Someone that doesn’t work all day everyday is best for a puppy. He needs to finish his puppy training and he also will be best in a home with someone that knows GSD need physical and mental stimulation to be happy.
