Story
Looking for a home for my niece’s dog. He is a 2 year old male mix breed Belgium malnois with unknown breed. He is small 28 lbs. We are looking for a forever home for him since he doesn’t get along with our two pit bulls. We have tried integrating them several times and he is aggressive towards them. He is very hyper and will do well in a home where he is the only pet. Preferably with someone who is active and not a couch potato. He loves to play fetch and loves snuggling. However, he has separation anxiety and needs someone who is patient with him. We will want to meet the potential owner and their home to ensure it is a match for him. Serious inquiries only please.

Story
Looking for a big personality in a medium-sized package? Meet Meredith, a stunning "Mini Malinois" who proves that the best things really do come in smaller sizes! At roughly 30 lbs, she’s the perfect size for any adventure, but don't let her stature fool you—she has every bit of the sass and intelligence of a full-sized Belgian Malinois. The Basics: • Age: Estimated 2–3 years old (the perfect young-adult age!) • Weight: 30 lbs • Breed: "Mini Malinois" (Small in size, huge in spirit) Personality & Training Meredith is a happy-go-lucky girl with an active engine. She’s always up for a game or a hike, and she’s already got the "indoor" stuff down pat. She is crate trained and potty trained when kept on a consistent schedule. While she is great with people, she prefers to take things at her own pace. She may take a little time to warm up to new faces, but once you’re in her inner circle, you’ve got a loyal friend for life. The Perfect Home Lil Mer gets along well with other dogs and would love a family that understands the "working dog" brain. Because of her Malinois-level energy and sass, she would do best in a home with older children (10+) who can respect her space and keep up with her play style. Meredith’s Must-Haves: • An active lifestyle. • A predictable routine. • Someone who appreciates a dog with a little bit of attitude and a lot of heart! Ready to bring some sass and sunshine into your life? Come meet Meredith and see if she’s the missing piece to your family! 🦴✨

Story
Meet Hugo: a Belgian Malinois with a resume, we just don't have the whole document. We may not know Hugo's exact origin story or where he came from, but we do know this - he's one of the smartest dogs to come through our doors. And that's saying something. While most Mals understandably struggle in a shelter environment, Hugo is out here defying expectations and breaking the mold. Focused, composed, and always thinking, he's clearly had prior training...and we're not talking your average "sit for a treat" situation. In fact, Hugo doesn't respond to commands in English - but switch to German and suddenly you have his undivided attention. It's a very strong hint that he has had exposure to Schutzhund-style work, or something close to it. Beyond that? Your guess is as good as ours. What we can say is that this dog has untapped potential written all over him.Hugo is not a beginners dog and he's not trying to be. He's looking for someone who has a firm understanding of a working dog's mindset - someone who appreciates drive, intelligence, and the kind of partnership that comes from working WITH a dog, not just owning one. In the right hands, Hugo isn't just a good dog - he's an exceptional one.If you've been waiting for a dog that challenges you, impresses you, and meets you on an entirely different level psychologically, Hugo might just be your guy.If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.savehomelessanimals.org. SAVE is operating by appointment-only for approved adopters. For more information please call SAVE at 609-309-5214. Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Black Weight: 82.5 Age: 5yrs 2mths 0wks

Story
Mariner is a 12-month-old Belgian Malinois who’s as smart as they come, but with a calmer, more easygoing temperament. She’s eager to learn, loves to please, and thrives on positive reinforcement and routine. Unlike the high-octane Malinois you often hear about, Mariner has a moderate drive — she enjoys activity, playtime, and mental challenges, but also knows how to relax and settle down when it’s time. She would be a perfect fit for a family experienced with working breeds or one that understands the Malinois’ need for structure, consistency, and engagement. With regular training and a “job” to do, whether that’s obedience work, hiking buddy, or canine sports, Mariner will shine. If you’re looking for a smart, loving, and steady Malinois to grow with your family, Mariner might just be your perfect match! She is around 50 pounds. She is crate trained, seems to be house trained, knows basic commands, loose leash walks, does the treadmill everyday, and is eager to learn more! All our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They have been dewormed and are current on vaccinations. Our adoption fee includes 30 days of complimentary medical insurance for your new pet. Breed and size is frequently a guess and can not be guaranteed. Our dogs are fostered on a private residence, we do not have a free standing shelter. They live on a farm where they run and play with other dogs, cats, horses, and barnyard fowl. Initial contact with us must be made through e-mail. E-mail ARFofMercer@gmail.com directly for an adoption application or with any questionsg. Once your adoption application is approved, you will be invited to meet our dogs/puppies.

Story
Brewer is a sweet girl who will make a lovely pet for an active home. She has learned basic commands, loose leash walks, and does the treadmill everyday. A Belgian Malinois is an active working breed, she will need to go into a home where she has training and an outlet for her energy and intelligence. Malinois thrive on guidance and routine, they are awesome dogs in the right home, and a nightmare in the wrong one. A Malinois is NOT a dog, they are a lifestyle. If you think you got the grit, she could be your new best friend. She is about 12 months old and is about 50 pounds. All our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They have been dewormed and are current on vaccinations. Our adoption fee includes 30 days of complimentary medical insurance for your new pet.
