Kira is a female, mixed breed dog who was picked up as a stray in TX. She may be a Belgian Shepherd Malinois mix based on her appearance. She appears to be young and medium sized. She is friendly with people and other dogs. She is currently located in a kill shelter in Texas and will be euthanized to make space unless she is adopted before her timestamp is up. We are trying to spread the word to help Kira (and others like her) find adoptive families in the NJ area. Hunter was abandoned from his last owner and was left for training and the owner never came back. He was left in the kennel in the back only being fed once a day and not socialized I ended up picking him up middle of May. I do not have a lot of information from him from his previous owner. I got him to be socialized with people he is prey driven and super smart. Need a lot of love and training. He has very basic obedience, but definitely needs time and effort for training. He is up-to-date with all his shots. I need an owner that is willing to show him the love that he deserves. He is only one years old.

Meet Mama Rosa Mama Rosa’s journey is one of incredible strength, devotion, and second chances. She was rescued from Devore Shelter in California, where she not only faced an uncertain future—but also rose to the challenge of motherhood. Mama Rosa did an amazing job nursing and caring for her nine babies, keeping them safe, healthy, and thriving until rescue stepped in. Thanks to her dedication, every one of her puppies got the chance they deserved. After being transported across the country to Brixies Rescue Inc., Mama Rosa has continued to show just how special she is. Since arriving in rescue, she has made remarkable progress. She’s learned basic cues like “sit,” is actively working on disengaging when she notices strangers, and has shown herself to be very food motivated, making training and confidence-building both effective and rewarding. Mama Rosa does well with children (with supervision) and is thoughtful and observant in the home. She is still working through slow, structured introductions with resident dogs, and we are committed to honoring her pace so she can feel secure and successful. Pluto is a dog that I adopted from an animal shelter last year. He was rescued at 2 months in Texas and was shipped to Chicago. His birthday is 12/7/2024. A lucky family will love him because of his constant playful energy, cuddles as well as his love for other animals and kids. He is very smart and knows the commands of sit, stay, outside, treat, down, and place. His energy is a lot, so I would encourage someone with a big backyard so he can get his energy out! :)
