Meet Brookie! 🐾 Brookie is a beautiful one-year-old German Shepherd mix looking for her perfect forever home. She is incredibly sweet, loyal, and smart. Brookie loves being active and would thrive with a family or individual who enjoys walks, hikes, playing fetch, or spending time outdoors. She has a fun, playful personality and plenty of energy. She adores people and is very affectionate—one of her favorite things is giving kisses! Because of her enthusiasm and size, she would likely do best in a home with older children who can comfortably handle her excitement. Brookie gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy having a canine companion. She is curious and playful, though she does enjoy chasing cats, butterflies, and anything else that catches her eye. She has so much potential and will make an incredibly devoted companion for the right family.

Story
Hustle is a young adult, 40 lb Belgian Malinois mix with tons of energy and a big love for adventure. He's happiest running, hiking, or playing with other dogs, movement is his language. Left behind in boarding, Hustle is still learning to trust. He can be shy at first, but with patience and consistency, his loyal, affectionate side comes forward beautifully. He's fully vaccinated and ready for someone who understands active, working‑breed dogs and can offer structure, training, and reassurance. If you're looking for a devoted companion who will bond deeply, Hustle is ready to meet you. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment). To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Hustle is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.June 9, 2026, 12:07 am

Story
Meet a sweet, laid-back pup looking for a new loving home! This adorable dog was originally adopted from Austin Pets Alive! and has been a cherished member of the family. With the recent arrival of a newborn, the family is no longer able to give this pup the time and attention they deserve. This dog is fully house-trained, crate trained, well-mannered, and incredibly easygoing. They have a calm personality and are perfectly content lounging around most of the day—honestly, they sometimes act more like a cat than a dog! Whether it’s napping in a cozy spot or quietly keeping you company, they’re happiest just being near their people. They would do best in a home where they can continue to enjoy a relaxed environment and receive the love they’re used to. If you’re looking for a low-maintenance, affectionate companion, this sweet dog could be the perfect match.

Story
We adopted Rusty from the Dallas Animal Shelter in November when he was estimated to be 6 months old. Rusty is a very energetic and happy dog. He loves people and attention. He needs somewhere he can run and play. He does well with other dogs, small or big. He is easy to train if you’re consistent. He knows to sit, lay down, come, and be easy when receiving treats. He sits before eating and when getting his leash put on and off. We want Rusty to go to someone who can give him the attention and love he deserves. He is an amazing dog and so sweet.

Story
Sully is a wonderful, loving dog who truly deserves a home where he can get more time, attention, and space to thrive. He’s friendly, affectionate, and great at settling indoors once he’s had a little activity. Sully enjoys toys, outdoor time, and being near his people — he’s happiest just hanging out with you. He’s crate‑trained, well‑behaved, and has a calm, gentle nature. He doesn’t need a ton to tire out; a bit of exercise or playtime is enough for him to relax. In his current home, he’s used to playing with two other dogs who help burn his energy, so in a new home he’ll benefit from someone who can give him regular exercise or a yard to stretch his legs. Sully is a sweet, loyal boy who will make an amazing companion for someone who can give him the time, structure, and love he deserves. I’m committed to finding him a safe, stable, and caring home where he can truly thrive.
