JENNY--Help needed JENNY is in need of sponsorship in our sponsorship program to pay for the remainder of her extensive veterinary costs. We are raising funds for all of her diagnostic procedures--Xrays, Ultrasounds, CBC, Urinalysis--for her extensive dental work, and extraction and suturing of six very bad removed teeth, and for her bladder stone removal surgery, JENNY is a Maltipoo, a Maltese/Poodle cross. Jenny is 7 years old and weighs about 15 pounds. She is a cream and white color, and she is also hypoallergenic! JENNY is very intelligent and inquisitive. She is housetrained, sweet, gentle, playful, loving, affectionate, a lot of fun to be with, and not destructive. Dogs like JENNY also require regular ongoing grooming maintenance to prevent dangerous matts and tangles in the fur which can cause serious skin damage. Fritz is truly amazing, he was abandoned and sat waiting for his owner’s return but they never came back. A Good Samaritan took him in and contacted our rescue. Fritz loves all dogs big and small, loves all people. He is so loving and sweet. He is learning to walk well on a leash, he is healthy we have done blood work, fecal test, dewormed, microchipped. And neutered, he also is on flea meds and is headed to the groomer this week. He will just get even better looking. He is crate trained and is getting potty trained. Truly you could not ask for a sweeter easygoing dog, he is also so smart learns fast. To adopt you need to fill out an application at Eloiserescue.org. Sorry no out of state adoptions. Meet Winnie! A spirited almost seven-year-old Bichon Frise/West Highland White Terrier mix currently in Walnut Creek, CA, whose essence is a bundle of sweetness wrapped in a fluffy, mostly white coat. At 14 pounds, Winnie is a small boy with a big enthusiasm for being close to his people! He is a constant companion who happily turns everyday moments into adventures, whether he is heading out for a walk, hopping into the car for a ride, or settling nearby at bedtime. His medium energy level pairs nicely with an active family. Winnie enjoys three to five walks a day or access to a securely fenced yard where he can stretch his legs. He also gets the zoomies indoors, so room to run is appreciated! Playtime is one of Winnie’s specialties. Stuffed animals are favorites, but bring out a ball and he is ready for fetch! He also enjoys a game of tug-of-war, making him a fun companion for people who enjoy interactive play. Winnie knows “quiet,” “stay,” and “sit,” comes when called, and could continue building his skills through positive reinforcement. Winnie is friendly with strangers and generally gets along well with cats. He has not met another dog directly, so his compatibility with dogs is unknown. On walks, however, he shows curiosity and wants to approach other dogs. He has not spent time around children. A younger couple or active family who can offer companionship, activity, and play could suit his lifestyle nicely! This sweet boy is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, house-trained, and appears healthy. Winnie is sensitive about facial grooming but has never bitten anyone. His regular groomers have always used a face muzzle without issue. An experienced groomer comfortable using this support can help make grooming successful. Winnie usually handles short periods alone well, though he occasionally needs a little encouragement when people leave. I rescued him and he was a great dog and got along with my other. I rescued 2 kittens and then the jealousy started. He is very gentle to cats but he started to become territorial. He started marking and it has been difficult for us to deal with him. We love him because he is such an affectionate dog. We spend time and set time for cuddles and playtime with just him. It has a year and nothing has changed.

Simmba has been waiting for his forever home for over a year now at Shelter Hope. Simmba is a 3 y/o and 13 lb Poodle mix who was surrendered the day after Christmas 2024. Before that, he lived only outdoors and received less attention as his family’s children grew older. Despite this, Simmba has a huge heart and blossoms with patience, consistency, and kindness. Simmba loves fetch, squeaky toys, and zooming or rolling through the grass, as well as soaking up the sun on his favorite bench. Indoors, he keeps his lamby toy close, happily offers enthusiastic face kisses, and adores cuddles, belly rubs, and simply being near his people. He also respects boundaries and will retreat to his bed or “sanctuary” when asked. His foster tells us he seems fully potty trained, food-motivated, and already knows the “sit” command. Simmba can be protective and sometimes needs help navigating his big feelings (which is why he’s often called a “project dog”) but he bonds deeply and is incredibly loyal once trust is built. He does have some skin allergies, possibly food-related, and currently wears a cone to prevent licking, though it doesn’t slow down his playful, quirky personality. He does best in a calm, low-chaos environment, where he can grow more confident and relaxed. His foster is actively socializing him with new people and other dogs, and he’s making excellent progress. With his fun-loving nature, Simmba could do well as an only dog or with another small, friendly, playful female dog as a companion. What he truly needs is a home without kids who is willing to give him the time and understanding he’s waited so long for. Simmba has so much love to give. **Meet Roscco Dash ❤️** Roscco is a loving, noble 10-year -old senior who has been a cherished part of my life since I adopted him at just 1 year old. He is gentle, humble, affectionate, potty trained, and happiest when he is around people. Sadly, I have recently developed severe allergies to him, and his chronic skin allergies and chronic ear infection has made it increasingly difficult for me to provide the care and attention he deserves. He receives weekly baths with medicated shampoo to help manage his skin condition. This is an incredibly difficult decision because I love Roscco deeply. I am looking for a loving, patient home that can provide him with the nurturing, understanding, and medical care he deserves in his senior years. He is accustomed to living outdoors but can also live indoors if desired. Roscco has so much love left to give and deserves a family who will cherish him. ❤️
