Story
Peach is a sweet, protective girl who loves running around the yard with a favorite stick, but is also very chill in the house. Enjoys her daily walk, sleeps most of the day; likes to play tug of war with a toy or chew her favorite bone; loves being in her crate when were away. She does well with our 2 young kids but would thrive best in a house where people are not coming or going. We rescued her 9 months ago; she definitely gets startled easily if someone sneaks up on her, which is why we cant keep her. She has bit three people who have startled her, we believe protecting us, but we have a lot of foot traffic & cant have the liability. She went through rigorous training this summer with Sit Means Sit, is very well mannered, doesn't pull on walks (we use a beep collar to correct behaviors & she's been great with it). House broken, not destructive to furniture, not anxious, rarely barks, not scared of fireworks/lightning. Peach is a great dog - we'd love to see her rehomed!

Hey everyone, meet JoJo! Do you love snacks? Then look no further, because this girl right here, was meant for you. Breakfast, mid-morning, lunch, mid-afternoon, dinner, midnight snacks are always welcome. This sweet girl has been in a loving home but due to a loss in the family and change in living circumstances, Miss JoJo finds herself looking for another one. She has not been around cats of small children, but has a naturally sweet disposition and gentle temperament. As a predominantly inside dog, JoJo is house trained but is used to spending time outside in a fenced yard. She has a playful personality and has played well with the other small dog that has lived with her. Please consider giving Miss JoJo a forever home to live out the best years of her life. If this sounds like the pup for you, please complete an application at https://www.saveastray.org/forms/form?formid=3635 Once the application is approved, a FaceTime will be set up for a virtual meet and greet. Since we are located in Mobile, AL, this will give you the opportunity to see the pet interact with other dogs, people, and see a bit of their personality. Story
Howdy! My name Is Zayit, pronounced Za-yeet, which means olive. I looked kind of small when I was first found but I have grown up to be a big gal, and I mean fast! I was found dumped, scared, and alone. The kind woman who found me took me to God’s Dogs Rescue ASAP. I was covered in fleas and ticks, had worms and was rather thin! But GDR cleaned me up, fed me, gave me medicine for my tummy and to keep those pesky fleas and ticks away! I looked small at the time, so small they thought I was a chihuahua! My foster mom saw me and said “NO WAY! Chihuahua? This girl looks like a BLACK MOUTH CUR!” Do you know what that means? That means I will probably grow up to be a larger gal, maybe 60 pounds, and an active one! Daily exercise and learning tricks at minimum will keep me busy because hunters and herders are what my ancestors were known to be! So here I am, growing by the day, eating super well and playing a lot with my new friend, Sariya. She is also my foster fur-sister, who is teaching me how to be a doggoe. We love rough housing! And she is teaching me how to play tug-of-war with her toys, but on her terms. I sleep snuggly in a big girl crate, or what my foster mama refers to as my “night-night”. It’s my safe space, my dining space, my sleeping space, my over-all private space. Sometimes I do have sleepovers on the big bed with my foster mom. I can be a bit shy, perhaps some will refer to me as apprehensive. When you walk towards me or try to pick me up I might run and hide, like in my night-night. Give me some time and I will warm up to you! When I was smaller my foster mama would scoop me up and we would sit together on her fuzzy chair. My foster brother scoops me up too and tries to nap with me. I like meeting other dogs and behaved pretty well with cats while I was on leash! Time and patience and lots of socializing folks, that’s all I need and I will luv you fur-ever.

Story
Zelie’s past is a mystery, like so many dogs who find their way to rescue, but what we do know is that she’s a gentle, loving girl with a heart ready to bloom. She can be a little shy at first, but once she feels safe, her sweet personality shines through. Zelie adores her person and will happily follow you everywhere — she might even step on the backs of your feet just to stay close! She would thrive in a calm, patient home that can help her continue building confidence, and she’d love a confident doggy friend to learn from. She is crate trained and often uses her crate when things get a bit too busy. Zelie is good with other dogs and is just now learning how to be a dog herself — playing, exploring, and enjoying the fun of having canine friends. She’s also good with cats; she’s curious but respectful and leaves them alone. Zelie is looking for a family who will continue to help her grow, gain confidence, and discover the joy of being a beloved dog. She’s ready to find her forever. Local adoption fee is $250(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Frances is the total opposite of rowdy. Frances never met a stranger & thinks everyone is or should be her friend :) She jumps up on people for hugs. Walks well on leash & is crate trained. She has been through alot in the past 6 months and has finally been ready for her own family. Frances is going to be a great addition to any home. She'd love a yard & kids / dog to play but would also would do well as only dog getting all the attention! She is flexible like that. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)
