Lucky may not be like our usual GLAR recruits (as in tiny, and often of the chihuahua variety ) but we are so glad to help her just the same. One of our fantastic volunteers has been fostering her alone without the help of a rescue, and needs more help making sure Lucky is seen! Lucky is 7 months old, weighs approximately 30lbs, and has all the zest for life (think Buddy the Elf ). She is some sort of Border Collie mix and is beautiful! She has all the puppy energy and needs a job. (As a result, we will only consider applicants who have experience with working breeds, and those who can provide a plan to help ensure Lucky’s needs will be met.) Lucky is fully vaccinated and will be microchipped and spayed prior to adoption. She is anxiously awaiting her forever person to form that special bond. We took on a puppy dog over a year ago (she’s now 19 months old) and were really looking forward to her being a wonderful addition to our pack. She’s a sweetheart with people but has failed to integrate well with our existing dogs. We have come to realize that she needs another home. The main goal is loving caring owners for her, best if as an only/solo pet without other dogs to be in competition with. Or perhaps bigger dogs established who will keep her in place of calm submission. She would be a great family dog, and could be trained to help out with farm duties. Thank you so much for considering her as a new addition to your family. We pray she would be a true blessing to you all! Ps. She’s not fixed yet but you can decide whether or not you’d like that for her.

Eve is a 14 month old Border Collie/German Shepherd mix, per her previous owner. She is potty trained, crate trained, and is learning sit and stay commands. She is microchipped and spayed. Her stomach has been tacked to avoid flipping from bloating. She is friendly with humans and very good with children. All she wants to do is cuddle with them. She can become aggressive with small dogs. We are unsure how she would engage with larger breed dogs or cats.
