Border Collie Male 3yrs old. This has been a very difficult decision, but after having him for the past four months, I truly believe he would do best with someone who can provide the environment and resources he needs to thrive. He is an incredibly intelligent dog and has done well with basic obedience training. Unfortunately, due to changes in my living situation, limited space, and my inability to afford a qualified behavioral trainer, I am no longer able to give him the level of support and enrichment he deserves. He appears to have some trauma in his past. He can be guarded around certain men, although not all men, and I suspect he may have experienced abuse or spent time as a stray before coming into my care. He has never shown this behavior toward women. Because he can be sensitive to fast movements and loud noises, I believe he would do best in a home without young children. Looking for a loving home that will be patient while he adjustment. Koda is a very chill dog. He doesn’t do too much mostly likes to lay around, and occasionally gives paw. Loves being rubbed behind the ears. He is potty trained, and doesn’t require much space as he is used to living in an apartment.He was adopted in 2021 from Path for paws in Las Vegas. He is chipped but not up to date on all vaccines. He does well with other smaller dogs, but doesn’t like dogs that won’t give him space. He’s a shy guy so he does need a moment to warm up to new environments & other pets. Does well in a kennel and learns rules very quickly.Listed as medium because he is 55lbs
