Mama Charlotte had a hard life.  Her human dad in Mexico decided that he didn't want any more puppies and decide to poison his female dogs.  A neighbor found out what was going to happen and saved her life.  Charlotte gave birth to six puppies and only 4 made it.  She has a leg injury which will be addressed once her puppies are weaned, is very shy, and takes a moment to trust humans.  She is a work in progress and is getting better everyday. ##2642562##

Aloha is a loving sweet dog, and very smart, which means she likes to rule the roost if she can get away with it. She loves playing with her doggy friends and toys, but will always make time for a good snuggle. She is a people dog and enjoys going out and about, but being a sensitive little girl, she occasionally will be shy of a new person. She listens very well and obeys. Some of her learned commands are,  “sit”, “stay”, “come”, “get down”, “be nice” and she will gently take a treat. ##2302831##

Tommy is a cute and cuddly little boy with an eternally cute face. He was found on the streets with a tumor about 5.5" in diameter in his belly. He lasted a year in treatment with chemotherapy and medication and needed surgery to remove the remaining encapsulated mass. In addition to needing special food to break up a stone bladder, he has ultrasounds to make sure he don't get sediment in his bladder every three months. He is currently a healthy, happy, loving and tender dog. He is very loyal and protective, intelligent and playful. He don't get along well with alpha male dogs, but plays well with puppies and females. He is sociable with children and adults. Tommy is a Border collie mix, and is smaller than a Border collie. When you talk to him he makes a cute and cuddly face, ducks his head and rolls his eyes upwards, I think he knows he is cute and takes advantage of that. Tommy is a dog to spoil, to cuddle and to give him lots of love, since his first family didn't give him all he deserved. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash. The adoption fee does not include transportation to North of San Diego

Story
Chummy is the sweetest, most loving and loyal boy you’ll meet. He is very appeasing, both with people and dogs, and can often be seen doing a “submissive smile”. He loves to run around and play fetch, and always loves new toys! He is a rescue from SD Humane Society and is truly an amazing dog. Only reason we are looking to rehome is that my current/original dog does not do well with other dogs in the home, as well as financial challenges.Chummy has lived with cats before and knows how to give them space, and has shown interest in playing with the other dog and cat(s) he has lived with. He would do excellent with a social dog friend! He can be shy/fearful with new people and environments, especially at the groomers, but has done well on trazodone/gabapentin for grooming/vet visits. He has some minor separation anxiety (a bit of whining/crying when we leave) but has never caused any kind of destruction or noise complaints, and settles quickly. Very sweet, silly/playful and loving dog!

Maverick is a very sweet dog who is truly exceptional inside the home. He is fully potty trained, crate trained, non-destructive, calm indoors, and has excellent house manners. He bonds closely with his people and is loving and loyal.Maverick is reactive toward other dogs and has a high prey-drive, so he cannot be in a home with any small animal. While he is wonderful at home, being outside requires management, awareness of his triggers, and continued structure. This was our first dog, and we went into this fully committed to training and doing things the right way. Maverick completed 4 weeks of professional board-and-train through Inclusion K9, and we've remained consistent with his training and structure.He will come with his crate, dog bed, leash, toys, remaining food and treats, and other supplies. We care deeply about finding the right home for him and are looking for an adopter who can continue providing the structure and support he needs.
