Oreo is calm and sleeps deeply, and when he’s awake he’s eager to please. He has a sweet, grateful temperament and would make a wonderful family dog or loyal companion. Oreo was rescued with double grade 3-4 hip dysplasia requiring double FHO. How this pet arrived:Bud-E was brought in by a community member on September 13, 2026. Why this pet is the one for you:Looking for your new best bud? Meet Bud-E, a sweet, mellow gentleman whose absolute favorite hobby is perfecting the art of the afternoon nap! While he can be a little timid at first, this friendly boy has been wonderfully amenable with our team and has warmed up quickly. According to his previous owner's family, he is already housetrained and has done well with other dogs. Bud-E came to us after his owner passed away, and he is now dreaming of a cozy home where he can simply hang out and soak up lots of extra TLC. He is currently carrying some extra weight and managing arthritis, so he appreciates a little lift from a walking sling to help him get around while he works on his fitness journey (and no stairs, please!). Our medical team is happy to chat with you about his mobility needs and other age-related care so you can help this darling companion feel his very best. Shadow is a high drive working breed border collie who needs someone with breed experience (preferred). Fulfillment requirements: She will need more than just an hour long walk a day to meet her physical requirements. She currently bikes, hikes, and loves to swim. She is also well versed in carrying a weighted pack on her hikes, which helps her tune into her body and slow her mind. She's an athletic girl and needs someone to match that lifestyle. Sociability (Dog preferences): Shadow is dog selective. She would be perfectly fine in a home with no other dogs but would also do ok if she found a home with the right dog for her. No little dogs or other small animals though. She doesn't enjoy every dog but enjoys most in the proper introductions are taken. She doesn't enjoy chaos with other dogs but loves to partake in structured pack activities. She is NOT a dog park or high-energy daycare type dog. Training: She's crate trained and sleeps, eats and rests in one daily. She's highly intelligent and learns quickly. She is well versed in basic obedience cues: sit, down, stand, stay, recall, place, middle, and loose leash walking. She does not enjoy being approached, touched or spoken to by strangers but has increased her thresholds for tolerance by quite a lot. She can navigate public spaces with the proper guidance but is probably never going to be a "coffee shop" dog. Shadow's Adoption fee is $250 and includes spay, microchip and current vaccinations.
