Story
Shadow is a high drive working breed border collie who needs someone with breed experience (preferred). Fulfillment requirements: She will need more than just an hour long walk a day to meet her physical requirements. She currently bikes, hikes, and loves to swim. She is also well versed in carrying a weighted pack on her hikes, which helps her tune into her body and slow her mind. She's an athletic girl and needs someone to match that lifestyle. Sociability (Dog preferences): Shadow is dog selective. She would be perfectly fine in a home with no other dogs but would also do ok if she found a home with the right dog for her. No little dogs or other small animals though. She doesn't enjoy every dog but enjoys most in the proper introductions are taken. She doesn't enjoy chaos with other dogs but loves to partake in structured pack activities. She is NOT a dog park or high-energy daycare type dog. Training: She's crate trained and sleeps, eats and rests in one daily. She's highly intelligent and learns quickly. She is well versed in basic obedience cues: sit, down, stand, stay, recall, place, middle, and loose leash walking. She does not enjoy being approached, touched or spoken to by strangers but has increased her thresholds for tolerance by quite a lot. She can navigate public spaces with the proper guidance but is probably never going to be a "coffee shop" dog. Shadow's Adoption fee is $250 and includes spay, microchip and current vaccinations. 🐾 **Meet Patches!** Patches is living proof that a few quirks just make you more lovable. He has a slight limp, an adorable little head tilt that somehow makes him even more endearing, and the cutest smile—complete with tiny human-like teeth—that will make you grin right back. An injury left one of his hips permanently fused, but Patches didn't let that get in the way of enjoying life. He loves people, makes friends wherever he goes, and approaches every day with a happy tail and an even happier heart. If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind best friend with loads of personality, plenty of love to give, and a face you'll never get tired of looking at... Patches is waiting to meet you. ❤️ Patche's adoption fee is $450 and includes his neuter, microchip and current vaccinations. Maddie is the EINSTEIN of Kelpies! She is the rarest of the rare- an ALL BLACK Kelpie GIRL. This working breed is highly human-bonded: a loyal and especially LOVING FAMILY DOG. Like ALL Australian Kelpies, this is not an apartment dog, she was bred to work on your property, guard your family, patrol your perimeter and do her JOB! This is a ONCE IN A LIFETIME opportunity for the RIGHT FAMILY with Land, Knowledge, and an owner who understands these kinds of breeds. THE IDEAL home will offer a large fenced property, a family experienced with the tempraments and intelligence of Kelpies, Aussies, Border Collies, etc. Miss MADDIE will offer YOU... an AMAZING INTELLIGENCE (beyond ANY other dog you have EVER had~) a SEA of LOVE and ABSOLUTE LOYALTY, a deep companionship and the ability to alert to protect your property if that is ever necessary. If YOU can offer Miss Maddie the perfect FURever home, respond ASAP with a PHONE NUMBER that you will answer when our Volunteer Coordinator calls you, and suggest a SPECIFIC TIME WINDOW that is best for you. Story
Georgie is a sweet smart very sensitive girl. She has only lived in one home with her sister and her mom, so this is a very hard thing to do. Georgie has a problem with cats and we can't seem to break it. She needs a home with someone who does not have cats she's always been great with my nephews and grandchildren but maybe no small children because of the Aussie in her. She will be your best friend the moment you even have a tear in your eye and the sweetest thing you would wake up to. I've never had a sweeter loyal dog in my life she just needs the perfect home for her personality.
